    Better than expected!

I'll admit that I was skeptical when I first saw this type of machine. After reading the reviews though, both positive and negative, I decided to give it a shot. I have to say that I am thoroughly impressed! I haven't messed with the settings too much. I've just been running loads using the basic "normal" setting. But I put my clothes in, pour in the detergent, press start, and a couple of hours later I have clean, dry clothes! The cycles, in total, probably take a bit longer than a traditional washer and dryer, but the convenience is unmatched. No 220 outlet, no dryer vent, just a basic hot and cold water hookup and drain pipe. This was especially convenient for me, as I just moved into a house that had no laundry hook-up whatsoever (how is that even possible?!). So, I still had to have a plumber install the water hook-up, but it would have been much more expensive if I'd had to get a new 220 circuit installed, plus a dryer vent. In short, the space saved, the ease of hook-up, and the convenience of all-in-one have made me a true fan of this product. Highly recommended!

I wanted to wait longer to leave a review but I am so impressed by this machine! I’ve only had it for a week but I’ve been messing with it to determine the best way to use it. I’ve done a large load, small loads, normal cycle, quick cycle, delicate and bulky. If you are going to do a bulky or large load simply do it overnight and set the wrinkle care and extra dry after the sensor. If you are doing regular size loads, a basket full 24x18x18 heaping, mixed load it’s going to take a little shy of 3 hours to wash and dry but things come out nice. Picture shows a what I consider a small/regular load. My king size comforter came out extra white and fluffy. The drum is so big I was tempted to throw the sheets and pillowcases in with the comforter but I didn’t. I washed it overnight and haven’t done the smart app yet because I haven’t had 10 minutes to spend setting it up, so I have no idea how long it took. The wrinkle care setting is a most for me, I hate wrinkles. Only downside to the machine is that it’s not quiet, maybe next generation (which I will be getting-Lord willing). It’s in my laundry room which there is no bedroom next door so I’m good in that regard. If this was in a kitchen or a room you wanted to sit in while doing a load, I wouldn’t like it. I read every review before making the purchase and I was turned away by the reviews; so much in fact I bought a stacked unit instead. When I reached out to a contractor to install a vent it was cost prohibitive ($350) and I opted to give this ventless system a go. I bought it from Best Buy, they give you 2 weeks to try it and if you hate it they’ll take it back. I also did a membership for $50 that allows me to use it for two months before I’m stuck with it. I did the 3 year maintenance agreement so I plan on having this machine for three years and then upgrading to the next generation. I’m a planner and an overthinker. From the reviews I was super worried the clothes would come out damp, but the clothes aren’t damp; a quick shake and the clothes are totally dry. If you are doing 10+ loads a week maybe this machine isn’t for you, I do 4 loads a week and it’s great. Oh, I also washed 12 shirts, 3 sweaters, and 3 pairs of pants that I normally dry clean, they came out great but I hated ironing them (the shirts) even though they weren’t super wrinkled. But that saved me $90. This machine is a winner.

I got this unit because I had very limited space in my utility room and it fits beautifully. I love that I can set and forget and when I do remember, my clothes are dry and don't smell. I also like that you can add extra water for large or heavily soiled loads to help it clean better. I didn't like that I had to keep the door open on my last front load washer, and was thinking it wouldn't be an issue with this unit. Unfortunately, while the laundry is dry, there is still some water around the seal when the load is completed, so I still need to leave the door open BUT it stays out of the way (see pic 2). I wasn't sure the drum really needed a light, but I think that light is now one of my favorite things. I would recommend this product.

LIFE CHANGING!!! Best thing since the microwave!

LIFE CHANGING! LOVE my new combo. I used to forget or get pulled away when the washer finished and the clothes would get stinky. And it would take me forever to finish a load. There is nothing better (laundry speaking) than putting the clothes in dirty, and taking them out clean, AND getting a notification that the load is done. Many items come out better than traditional dryer, wrinkle wise. I use the 'more dry' and the 'wrinkle care' features often. I do shake out the clothes (like I did before) and I do feel the humidity when pulling out a load but generally it's all dry. With large bedding loads, I do pull out the items and rearrange the load to catch any items that are wrapped up. With the extra space in the laundry, I installed a cabinet with a large, deep top where I can put the clothes to fold or hang. Bottom line, it's the best thing since the microwave!

I have only had this GE Combo for a week or two. I purchased this because my townhome has a dryer vent that vents too long to the roof and just can’t dry my towels. It is also a fire hazard. So I purchased this GE COMBO with hopes of a better experience. I do like many aspects if hiw it works. There is definitely maintenance with this combo to keep it working properly. It is Energy Star rated so it saves you energy and can fit in smaller laundry rooms. I will have to see in 6 months to a year how I like it. There are pros and cons with any appliances it also depends on your needs. So far this lets me safely do laundry which is a necessity.

We are so happy with the GE Profile Combo. It's incredibly easy to use and with the connection to my phone, I can retrieve the clothes right as the drying cycle ends. If I need to gram anything before it starts drying, or if I want to put in a dryer sheet, I program it to just wash, then I can reset it to just dry. My only regret is that I didn't get one sooner.

The washer itself is nice, the drain hose does not reach the 96" like it says in the manual. Installation was of no hope. They sent a reinstall to make the drain hose reach and because I already rigged 2 pieces of hose (which I had to purchase) they didn't do anything else. Extremely disappointed in both services i had and ashamed I paid for Installation. What a joke. Also they couldn't send me anyone for a week from Installation and refused any kind of refunds. This is an unacceptable way to run a business. I will spend the extra money elsewhere next time I need a new appliance. Be ashamed bestbuy!

Well, there’s a lot about this machine I like, the ease of doing all at once, one and done. I’m still learning things about it, since I’ve had old school machines my whole life, top load simple ones! A few things I don’t like, it has more maintenance on it, like cleaning the lint thing is messy, it gets all over, and has to be taken apart to clean well, and there’s a lot of lint you have to clean out where the lint trap goes, which is difficult to do since it’s a small slit. Theysee a brush to help with that, but haven’t gotten it yet. Also you have to clean out the lower drain, which isn’t hard but just one more thing you have to do. And if you can’t get down on your knees to clean it you may need help. And cleaning the rubber seal where the door opening is, is another bother, not hard, but more than I bargained for. The main complaint for me is unless I put it on the more dry, my clothes come out wrinkled and damp. Most times I set the more dry now, and that helps, but if I don’t get stuff out right away, they get very wrinkled. And I only do average to small loads, as otherwise it’s a huge wrinkled mess. It’s just me and my husband now so small loads are ok. If my children were still at home, there’s no way this would work for me. Also, with a very small bleach dispenser, I can’t put in the amount of bleach I usually use,so my whites aren’t as white as I like anymore. So I’d think about purchasing this machine if I were you! It’s not the old top loaders for sure!!

I purchased this washer/dryer combo for almost a month now. I’m happy with how efficient, sleek, quiet, and user friendly this machine is! It has a great size for extra large laundry, the drying time can be adjusted on the app, and its compact size is very efficient in my small laundry room. I gave it a 4 stars because every time you put a load for washing/drying, you have to empty the lint so it wouldn’t accumulate inside, and would prevent service often.

People mistake the clothes for being damp but they are not. They are dry but with using the same drum there is humidity when you open it just like a dishwasher. Initial payout is higher but you get a nice tax write off due to dryer being a heat pump making it cheaper than traditional setup. So far I love it. No more forgetting to switch it to the dryer. The drying time is not obnoxious like some people say it is. If it is getting longer than normal lint trap hasn’t been cleaned well. Recommendation is pick up the pedestal makes draining it way easier. Drain it when you’re done for the week. To help keep your clothes smelling nice and fresh.

I've been using for a day. Full disclosure, I started with a load bigger than I should have because it's a big hopper. So when it didn't dry at all I figured I had asked too much of it. So I took 75% of it out and tried timed dry. Literally gave it 12+ hours, still too wet to wear anything. I know it's heating up, because the top of the machine gets rather hot after so much time. I did checked that all the filters were clean. I have that 25% in there now, hoping I can get it close enough to try the remaining wet laundry still in the basket. I know it's supposed to feel a tiny bit moist when taking it out, but not to this degree. Also, the phone app is not good, the bluetooth disconnects often, and changing the wifi network it runs on is very difficult. Troubleshooting on the machine amounts to "Is the machine on". Don't get me started on the telemetry details I agreed to. Only did it because I thought there might be hidden features apart from the dashboard. You might have looked at the FAQ and saw a question about whether it has the autodispenser. Know that this FAQ is answered by users, and not BestBuy or the manufacturer. Don;t be fooled by the one person that said it does, becasue this model does not. I almost bought the pedestal, but adding it in doesn't say that the installers will include that. Turns out they will (at least the guys who delivered mine said that they would have ... they were the only good part of this experience so far). I'm very much in the mind to return this, but I'm going to due my full diligence and continue looking over the manual to see if I've missed something.

    GE Profile Combo Washer/Dryer

It’s not perfect, but I like it overall. The biggest complaint I see is the drying when clothes aren’t dry. I’ve had this happen and this occurs for what I believe are two reasons. One is the dryer itself. Standard dryers are 220v and a higher heat element. This is a 110v and recycles the heat back into the machine to be energy efficient. This making drying longer. I set the dryer to highest spin and longer drying time. Sometimes the stuff still isn’t fully dry. Why? Because we can overfill the load and making it longer to dry. The manual has loading instructions. The all in one unit is wonderful as a space saver and the washing cycles are perfect! I’m glad I made this purchase!

The GE Profile washer-Dryer combo works great. I was a bit skeptical at first, I mean How can it be both a washer and a dryer in the same unit? I researched several websites and read lots of reviews before buying. The fact that it plugs into a 110 outlet and is vent-less really sold me. I was reluctant because some of the reviews stated washer dryer combos are really loud. This combo however is very quiet, less noise than my previous front load washer. My wife and I are very happy with this purchase, and I would highly recommend.
