I was a little hesitant about buying a refurbished product, but this MacBook Pro exceeded all my expectations! Although it’s certified refurbished, it came in immaculate condition—practically like new. The Space Gray finish was flawless, and there were no signs of wear or scratches.
Performance-wise, the Apple M1 chip is lightning-fast, and the 256GB SSD ensures quick boot times and plenty of storage for my needs. The 13.3” Retina display is vibrant and crisp, making it perfect for both work and entertainment. I’ve been using it daily for a few weeks now, and it runs smoothly without any hiccups.
For the price, this is an unbeatable deal. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a premium laptop at a fraction of the cost of a brand-new model. Geek Squad did an amazing job refurbishing this MacBook!

The laptop was free of any and all imperfections, had been factory reset, the battery health was at 99%. The fadtory charger hadn’t come packaged with the system so they upgraded me to a 140W charger free of charge! Im extremely impressed with Geeksquads quality, genersoity, and attention to detail. The discounted price of the system was just the icing on the cake, i would 10/10 reccomened buying refurbished apple products from Best Buy!

My MacBook Pro is everything I had hoped it would be and more. I’m able to multitask with ease. Whether I’m listening to a lecture while working on a spreadsheet or researching and writing a paper with the split screen function, I’m very impressed with Apple and the MacBook’s versatility. The battery life is strong, the display is great and the Apple Intelligence feature is what you buy Apple for. This for me was indeed a Best Buy!

Don't ever buy it! Bestbuy is lying to their customers, they claim this device is inspected and certified, I found out after using it for a few days that it wouldn't charge, only to send it to Apple to be inspected and find out that the device had liquid in it. Bestbuy doesn't offer any solutions after that.

I recently took the plunge and bought a refurbished MacBook Pro from BestBuy, and let me tell you, it's been a great experience! I was initially hesitant, but the value proposition was too good to ignore. Now, after almost 2 weeks of using it, I can confidently say it's been an amazing experience.
Performance:
This 2020 M1 powered MacBook Pro is a true powerhouse. I’m not a new Mac user and hence knew everything that I would expect from a MacBook. The M1 chip is incredibly fast, and the 8GB RAM keeps everything running smoothly. The Retina display is absolutely gorgeous, with stunning clarity and vivid colors.
Battery Life:
The battery life on this refurbished MacBook Pro is far better than I anticipated. I easily get a full day's work done on a single charge, This is a huge upgrade from my previous laptop, which constantly needed to be plugged in.
Value:
Going refurbished was a fantastic decision. I saved a significant amount of money compared to buying a brand new model, and the performance is practically indistinguishable. The fact that it came with a Geek-Squad warranty gave me extra peace of mind.
Overall Satisfaction:
Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with my refurbished MacBook Pro. It's a fantastic machine that delivers exceptional performance, amazing battery life, and all at a fraction of the cost of a new one.
Oh…did I forget to mention the condition in which I received it? You can’t tell the difference from a brand new once it’s out of the box. There was no scratch or any other deficineny that I could point fingers at.
If you're on the fence about going refurbished, I highly recommend it!
Personal Advice (not a disclaimer):
I've purchased Geek-Squad refurbished products from Best Buy in past too and they have not let me down so far in my decisions. Just do your own research before you buy as each product is created different and every used product may not be truly Geek Squad Certified Refurbished (GSRF). So look out carefully the product notes clearly mentioning the GSRF label before you move forward. Happy hunting!

I couldn't believe the conditions that they sent me this laptop all dirty and with hair everywhere, I immediately proceeded to return it.
A good MacBook that doesn't deserve the "Pro" name

The MacBook Pro has always been Apple's flagship laptop for professionals, designers, and those who need that extra bump in power and features that the mainline laptops don't provide. Unfortunately, this first M1 generation of the MacBook Pro (MBP) doesn't deliver that premium feel or wow factor of previous generations.
The performance of the Apple Silicon M1 series cannot be understated. It's fast, efficient, and maintains cool-enough thermals to make everyday tasks seem effortless. Basic daily operations of web browsing, video-watching, email-checking, and multitasking (mostly) is a breeze, and the 17-20 hours of battery life is no joke. These tasks never really experience too much slowdown. Even some basic video editing or smaller project files are no problem for Apple's M1 8 core CPU (4 performance and 4 efficiency) and 8 core GPU...however the 8GB RAM configuration will soon become a noticeable issue, especially for anyone working with multiple browser tabs/plugins or working with larger projects. Side note - Apple, time to catch up and make 16GB RAM standard.
The biggest problem with this series of the MBP is that its cheaper counterpart, the MacBook Air, comes with the exact same chipset configuration. Not only that, but it also comes with the same RAM, same hard drive, same Touch-ID button, and same available port configurations as well. Gone are the days (for this generation) of having those extra ports for productivity, an available HDMI port for video output, or the SD card slots for creatives on the go. Here, you simply get two Thunderbolt3/USB 4 ports (only one if you are charging the laptop) and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The MBP does have internal fans however, so working for longer periods or in hotter environments where thermal throttling may be an issue is something to consider over the fan-less MacBook Air design.
The Retina display is back with 13.3" of real estate at 2560x1600 resolution and 500 nits. Also returning is the lackluster 720p front-facing camera, displaying a disappointing feed compared to the more modern 1080p camera that most newer competitors come with. Also returning is the customizable Touch Bar (gone in the 14" and 16" M1 Pro models going forward); a neat & gimmicky touch-sensitive thin OLED display whose button configuration changes depending on the program you have open. In the right hands and with the right adjustments, it can be an amazing tool to hop around to different applications and settings. To others, it's a feature that can get old quickly and leave people longing for the traditional function keys. Speaking of keys, those terrible butterfly keyboards are gone for a more traditional and satisfying switch-style design.
At the end of the day, the daily workload that most people use their computers for can be done for cheaper and with less physical weight that the MacBook Air provides in the 2020 M1 setup. Unless you're a big fan of the Touch Bar, might need the fans for rare thermal throttling during those long 4K video exports, or just get it at a really good deal, look at the 2020 MacBook Air instead...or move up to the 2021 MacBook Pro M1-Pro series for a true "Pro" experience.
