    TV hung quickly and securely on brick fireplace

    I think that customers should be told that longer power and HDMI cables might be needed so that they can buy them in advance and not have to pay extremely high prices from the Geek Squad when they arrive ($108 for a HDMI cord??). Perhaps a note in the information area when you buy the service would be polite. Also, I was disappointed that the power and cable cords were exposed and hanging all down my fireplace. I somehow thought things like this would be taken care of for the cost I was paying. Other than that, the tv was securely hung above the fireplace mantle.

    After a less than great experience in store with online ordering through Best Buy, I was pleasantly suprised by the Geek Squad techs who came and did my work. I was informed they'd show up between12 and 4. At 1:15, one of my tech's Kent, called me and said they were 40 mins out. 40 mins later, they were there. Seamless installation of my Samsung 58" Plasma (unbelievable- 5 stars). Coming from a tech moron, Kent and Jordy answered all of my questions and set up all of my other peripherals as advertised. I think some of the previous issues other people have had, with not knowing about the techs not running wires thru walls and other installation problems, have been addressed by corporate and are telling people up front what to expect. For $200, I paid for a service and expected great and courteous work. I got it! Thanks to Kent and Jordy. Remember to tip if they deserve it. I don't think these guys get them often enough.

    I had no issues at all with my install. Two agents showed up on time with all equipment ready and charged. They took the time to listen to my concerns before starting, measured twice, drilled once and was done in 40 min. I recommed that before getting this service ask your local BBY to show you the customer surveys on the prospective agents. I was able to do this and was able to pick out a team that was well reviewed. My only minor complaint was the price, could've been a $100 cheaper but overall I'm very pleased.

    Worst Experience EVER!!!!

    I purchased a TV mounting with Geek squad installation with a removal of the old TV. The actual installation of the TV is fine however the support staff (scheduling group and more importantly the store assigned to execute the installation) were horrible. I was put on hold for over an hour (not a typo) . On the day the removal 30 minutes prior to their arrival they called and re-schedule AGAIN. I would not recommend this service to any of my FRIENDS

    Don't purchase there service

    Placed order for home tv installation online. Call to set service time. Told there system was down for maintenance. This was at 5pm. The scheduling rep told me to call back later. Ask for customer service to complain and he told me I would be on hold for one to three minutes. After 15 minutes I gave up. Now going to try and get my money back. We will see how that goes.

    It's not worth the money, time or the frustration. After a week of seeing my brand new tv sit in a box in the middle (yes litereally) of my den when it was delivered, and a couple of hours on the phone with Best Buy, my friends decided they would hook up my tv and components. We were enjoying the tv in 15 minutes.

    If you want it done right with a smile

    For a big box company, prices and service agreements cannot do it alone. Best Buy works hard to improve customer relations. You can see it in the way each employee speaks with respect, intent on helping solve the customer's needs. This extends to the Geek Squad. My LED-HD TV needed an expert to install it with care and set it up for use. The two men who did the work called ahead to say that they were arriving, were considerate, professional, and cleaned up afterward. They were very clear with their instructions on how to get going. They looked like they liked their work. They deserved a tip for their work and even more so, because the installation was very inexpensive when purchased with this higher priced item. And it's holiday season in the middle of the worst recession since 1929. For goodness sake, if you're fortunate, do a little more to stimulate the economy. (And donate to charity.) Why use the Geek Squad? 1. It's worth the price, considering that you don't want to take the chance of breaking something so expensive out of the box. 2. Most people like technology but are intimidated by it, don't read the manuals, and need a human guide to get through it all. 3. Even an avid do-it-yourself-er can be smart enough to stop short and give the job to someone else. This Samsung 55 (a great TV by the way) and the installation bracket I bought with it are not something you "think" you can do alone. 4. The agents on the phone and on-line were constantly making sure an appointment would be set up at our convenience. So to the Geek Squad for all aspects that make it up, from the first contact to the finished job: good work men and women.

    Great Service

    Had Geek Squad mount my new 55" plasma. Everything turned out great. They came out as scheduled, called before they showed up and did a very nice job. The installers were friendly and they did the install in less than 45 minutes, not bad if you ask me. I also liked the fact that the install included running my cables in the wall(except the electrical cord). Saving the time and the hassel of doing the install my self, was well worth it.

    It was worth every penny to have the 2 professionals install the expensive TV on its wall-mounting bracket, saved me a lot of hassle and potential damage to TV and to my back! They hid the wires/cables in the wall, very professional and clean. Went the extra "mile" hooking up 3 devices and checking it all out. Thet=y could not "hide" the power cable, needs an electrician., but the whole set-up loks much better than on a stand. The reason they were late is that they had an unexpectedly long job before me, but they kept me aware of the delays by phone.

    Geek Squad agent Guillermo Sobalvarro done a excellent job installing TV. Very professional at his work. Went out of his way to show me how to operate my new TV.Also had him update my Wireless Router.Took him about five minutes ! I am a professional in my trade & i like dealing with someone who is a professional in their trade. A very pleasant experience !! If you want someone who knows & cares for doing a great job installing your TV or any other items ask for this person.

    ive never been more dissatisfied in my life. Im still trying to get a refund on this as we never had the tv mounted. Cant seem to get it through their heads at geeksquad??????????

    I has my television installed by greek squad about three years ago and my television fell this year because of lack of work by these geek squad named installer. so I recommend to do it your self because they won't be responsible for there installation at all... actually wrong word to put it like, there not responsible for there mistakes...

    I wanted to surprise my husband for Christmas and I didn't want him to worry about mounting our new television. At first I thought that the price was a little high, but once they came in to take care of everything I knew that it was worth it! The geek squad handled everything very quickly! (And my husband was very happy!)

    Installers showed up on time ,installed the mounting bracket , and hung my plasma television in about 40 minutes. That included running the cables inside my wall and making sure everything worked. They were very efficient and cleaned everything up after the work was completed. Great job!

    The geek squad guy came on the date that was scheduled. Was very helpful in answering any questions I had and explained all he was doing. Did an amazing job, the tv looks great. Wonderful service, would def use again!!! Also was in no hurry to leave until we were satisfied with the service.

    The individuals who intalled my flat screen TV did an excellent job. The only problem I had in the encounter was the waiting time on hold on the telephone to speak to an representative to schedule an appointment and the time wait to have it installed. Otherwise the process was excellent.

    The two men showed up on time. Got the job done in very little time. They even set the controls on my DVD player correct so it is in 5.1 surround now. I thought I was using the wrong cored.

    Love our Samsung TV

    I love my TV on the wall, it looks great from every angle of my living room and kitchen. We upgraded our cable to HD and love it. I had very good service from the Geek Squad. The delivery was quick. Our Samsung 52" Big Screen TV looks and works great with all our components.

    Fastest Install Ever

    They arrived on time, worked fast, and cleaned up after themselves. It was a tricky install because this is an older home that has lath and plaster walls, and wall studs are very hard to locate. These guys were good. Well worth the price, as I was watching football less than one hour after they first arrived.
