As an avid movie watcher, I have learned that one should watch a movie TWICE before making a "like" or "dislike" comment about it. The 1st viewing, is always "expectation-based". Which is either "thumbs-up or down". Our perspective is pleasure based and movies have 50/50 chance of satisfaction. If our 1st viewing is "thumbs-down", we can unfairly damage the movie's rep. But more than that, we miss the artist'(s) message or intention. Hence, the 2nd viewing. Watching a movie the 2nd time after 1st viewing dissatisfaction often gives us a "2nd opinion", which I have found aids in seeing it from the artist(s) perspective. As this relates to this live-action version of Ghost in the Shell, (and I own the anime also), it applies. Especially if you REALLY liked the anime. The second viewing of this allows for getting used to the "new" actors playing the characters. Once done, this movie is very enjoyable. It's also Matrix-esque in posing "the question". And yes, I know the Wachowskis were inspired in part by Ghost in the Shell on the whole because they love anime. So watch it. Then wait a while and watch it again. I think by the 3rd time, it will get better and better.

I grew up enjoying this story and was dissapointed by the actor chosen for the title role at first but actually enjoyed the film. This is a cool movie to watch on a kicking TV.

This movie is very action packed. The kind of movie that leaves you sitting at the edge of your seat.

I already in this movie in steelbook. But loved it so much that I had to buy the 4k version.

I love the original anime movie and saw this one in theaters with friends and will admit the movie is average at best, but there are a few key scenes they do rip from the anime movie that were pretty cool. I would only recommend this for the hardcore fans who just can't get enough of GITS and would only recommend to pick this up when it's under $9.99.

I purchased both the 3D and the 4K version of this movie (why couldn't we have had a combo pack?). I watched the 3D version first, and was blown away by it's visuals...it truly is a feast for the eyes with dazzling colors, depths, and some awesome 3D pop out moments. I was at least expecting the 4K version to be visually appealing, but I was disappointed. The 4K HDR version comes across as dim, and even murky or hazy in some scenes...it is just not on the same level as the 3D version. So, while I loved the movie itself, do yourself a favor and go for the 3D version over the 4K HDR version....if you aren't sure, see if you can see them both compared side by side and then let your eyes be your judge.

Movie was great tech, interesting story, did not do well at box office, but worth watching at home

Movie was a solid revision from anime to live action. The price on this was a steal!

The movie looks great in 4K format. Colors are vibrant and HDR makes a difference. Great job by Scarlett as Major and the visuals are stunning.

the modern day remake of the original ground breaking anime that totally inspired the Watchowski 's MATRIX ….this is an amazing movie in and of itself.

I liked the movie, so I bought the disc. Interesting style, kind of like Blade Runner.

It’s eye candy. Pure and simple. Action scenes were nice and the CG was on point.

I enjoyed the futuristic vision of this movie. Actors were great. worth watching.
