Customers are saying

Customers praise the AERO 16" laptop's stunning screen quality and impressive performance, with many highlighting the superior build quality and smooth user experience. The ample RAM is also a plus, though some users express disappointment over the limited USB port selection. Overall, the positive feedback on the display and processing power outweighs the concerns about connectivity.

Good while Plugged In; Awful Battery Life

Screen is very good, however only 60hz. Performance is also good and with some tweaking can be comparable with other laptops. Battery life is terrible. Maybe I got a defective unit, but compared to other reviews, I rarely got two hours of usage even while browsing at minimum brightness and at power saving mode. WiFi connection is bad. While at a distance of about 30 ft, this laptop gets a very weak signal while my iPhone XR still has a very strong signal. Speakers lack bass and sound tinny.

I love my new computer. The design is fantastic, and the build quality is truly amazing. It's built like a tank, I've never experienced a laptop so sturdy and stable and yet lightweight. I love the touch of the keyboard, and as to the display? It's better than my OLED TV, it's amazing. Based on the sale price I got, it's a fantastic buy, I'm thrilled.

Powerful machine plagued by annoying issues

On paper, this is an incredible laptop at a reasonable price. However, it lacks the stability and polished touches that would make it a great pick. I've tried two of this laptop and both exhibit the same flaws. SCREEN: 9.5/10 This is probably the best screen I've seen on any laptop. The 4K OLED delivers incredible contrast, text is sharp, and video looks amazing. Brightness is quite good compared to previous gen OLED models. The only slight con is the highly reflective glass panel. PERFORMANCE: 9.5/10 The i7-12700H combined with DDR5, PCIe 4.0 SSD, and NVIDIA RTX 3070 ti, results in a noticeably faster / smoother experience than last year's laptops. The WIFI 6E card seems to be an improvement over previous AERO models which had sporadic performance. BATTERY LIFE: 7/10 Setting the brightness at 50%, in Balanced mode, the 99 wHr battery lasted 5-6 hours with web browsing and video streaming. It's good compared to dedicated gaming laptops but a bit less than other thin and light machines. BUILD QUALITY: 8/10 The aluminum quality is greatly improved over previous AERO models. The chassis has no creaking or flexing and hinge is very smooth and sturdy. However, unlike previous models that securely closed, this model just hangs closed, leaving an open gap between the screen and deck when carrying the laptop on its side. KEYBOARD / TRACKPAD: 6/10 The keys are rather small but have a good click to them. The white backlighting is bright, but is noticeably uneven on one of the two models I tried. Worse, the backlight bleed results in light coming through parts of the speaker grilles and projecting onto the screen bezel in certain spots. The trackpad is quite small for a creator laptop, and it's not as smooth as the glass ones used on more premium models. AUDIO: 8.5/10 The up-firing speakers are loud and crisp. There is no muffling like many laptops with down-firing speakers. However, they lack the bass found on the Macbooks and XPS laptops. HEAT/NOISE: 9/10 This is one of the few gaming/creator laptops that doesn't get uncomfortably hot during extensive use. It stays a very reasonable temperature and fan noise is non existent or minimal with most tasks. PORTS: 3/10 The laptop is .88 inches thick. There is no excuse for lack of USB A ports and lack of SD card reader. The included port adapter is a nice touch but it's just one more thing to carry around. ISSUES ENCOUNTERED: There were multiple instances where the laptop would not turn on despite having a full charge. The keyboard would light up, but no display. Even holding the power button did not fix the issue. This was replicated on two machines. Often, it would have to be connected to the charger to revive it. When opening the laptop after it was in sleep mode there was often a jarring screen flicker (screen flashing or alternating off/on rapidly). These issues, combined with the unsecure hinge closure, and the keyboard backlight bleed issues, are unacceptable for a high end creator laptop. CONCLUSION: This laptop delivers an awesome screen and amazing performance, but the lack of stability and quality control are problematic. Perhaps the power managment issues could be fixed in future firmware updates, but that's an expensive gamble.

A vast improvement on the AERO 15. Several things are better including built in camera location (now back at the top - where it should be), and a better screen. However, the only thing that is a bit worse is the venting. Computer runs very hot while gaming and additional cooling is needed to protect internal components.

Wonderful experience. None of the parts are soldered on, RAM is replaceable with two slots should you need to upgrade, but 16GB and 1TB are plenty. The display is much better than you think, both 4k resolution and AMOLED lead to beautiful blacks and contrast providing a high-fidelity gaming experience wherever you go.

After i purchased the laptop i found out that there's no usb ports and they gave me a hub with only one usb port o planned to return then i said let me just buy another hub with more usb ports. After i turned it on the device was on and nothing on the display so i returned it. I read few reviews about the same issue and they had to change the laptop twice. No i know why they had it with a good price.

GOD LIKE screen but a better heater

the heat that this thing would give off was insane, cooling is terrible but good enough that you aren't melting the CPU or GPU uncomfortable for long play sessions also the dongle is complete garbage to think that isn't a joke blows my mind. the oled screen is probably the best laptop screen I've ever seen like the overall clarity on this is mind blowing so if you're looking to do art, this is the pc for you but if you're trying to game, steer clear the fps in most titles dip from 60fps since its a 4k screen and doesn't have enough power to get you that in most AAA titles. battery life is like 2 hours if you're lucky so for creative pc 5 out of 5 but for gaming 1 out of 5 unless you were to get a dpi dongle then you'd probably could get 144fps or higher on a 1080p monitor

For the price it seemed very compelling to get one, but I have had nothing but problems with this product. Upon getting my first aero 16 I upgraded the software and drivers. After updates it would not power on the screen. It would be a 50/50 chance on hard reset for it to turn on. Then software issues would cause photos to show up as if it were corrupted with nothing but red noise in the highlights. This happend with every file type used. A very unpleasant experience for a creator machine. Uninstalling the software and driver updates did not fix the problem so I returned it. After quickly exchanging the decive for another the second one came with a variety of problems aswell. With the first thing being Bluetooth audio on this device was broken constantly cutting out for up to minutes and crackling all the time. It was no software problem as i tried multiple devices, driver updates/reinstalls and system settings. The second problem was using multiple displays would be way too buggy. Issues with the pointer in the display moving and disappering. It also couldn't resize tabs when moving from displays. Just a really wonky hot mess. Overall the manufacturer shows a lack of quality control and software optimization. I am very displeased with the waste of time ive had to deal with this product so buyer beware.

I would give zero stars if possible! Will not connect to internet properly and very slow to open the few pages I could get to open. New computer should not have this type of problem. Tried restarting and it disconnected from the network and had to reconnect it. Sure enough speed to open the few sites I could open was slower then dial up. I opened my other computer to make sure internet service was working and yes the connection was lightning fast opening websites rapidly. I hope best buy will allow me to return this awful computer

It is my first Gigabyte laptop and the best one I could find capable of handling both creative work and gaming. For me, the laptop's positives grossly outweigh the negatives. The screen is stunning, the performance is great, the build quality is solid and the design is rather good. The port selection is limited yes, but it is internally upgradable in both RAM (2 dimms) and SSDs (2 m.2) which is pretty nice. For the price, especially when on sale, this thing is unbeatable.

I have to agree the heat this laptop puts out is insane. You should definitely get a secondary laptop cooler. But as to performance it rocks. I play a lot of games and it performs great with all of them.

I use this computer for video editing and the AMOLED screen is awesome. I bought this computer on sale and with the money I saved I was able to upgrade to 64 GB of RAM and put a Gen 4 Samsung 2 TB SSD. I was so happy with this laptop and the sale price, that I bought 2 more for the family. YouTube has great videos on how to upgrade the RAM and SSD for this laptop so that anyone can upgrade this laptop.

    Heater in lap

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

excellent looks & feel. Terrible performance. Its understandable that pretty much all 1070ti laptops get hot. This one turns into a heater in your lap. But! usually the chassis gets hot laptop keeps performing this one got hot in 10 minutes & then started freezing frames in game. Loved the design & craftsmanship but the cooling technique is terrible FYI Raze blade also gets hot but performance is not impacted. This is the first laptop where i observed such a big performance difference comparing hot & cold laptop.
