This is the first laptop I have bought that I didn't wish I bought a different one. everything is as they say. sturdy. good battery so far. heavy, but i like that. Gpu is amazing. keyboard feels good. touchpad is slick and much better than my msi laptop that broke. hinges seem sturdy. fans are loud if you want them to be. not loud and whining but more of a deep purring that i love. some fans get that weird harmonic vibrating noise. this is more like a desktop fan noise. I researched laptops for the last year. i finally decided on this one. I use it for lots of programming and ethical hacking for school. runs virtual machines very smoothly. There is room to add a second nvme pcie m.2 ssd. if you are concerned about storage.

After 2 years of use, my screen is just not working any longer. Its battery life sucks. My on-off button broke after 1 year as well. Had two problems with its SSD.

Laptop was securely packaged and arrived in new condition. Very powerful, runs latest gen titles with no issue. Fans are quite loud, but that was expected going into the purchase so no surprise there. Came with Gen 4 SSD that gigabyte control center labels as ESR01TBMFCT-E8GBTOEM4. Haven't opened the case to verify. Lots of lighting options on the keyboard, the rainbow colors can actually move across the keyboard in various patterns. I didn't realize that that was a thing keyboards do these days, but it was a fun surprise. Lights can also be programmed to static colors or just turned off entirely. First impressions overall are super positive. Haven't upgraded my laptop in 8 years so this was a long time coming, and it didn't disappoint!

Just got it in this past week September 20 2022 , first game i played was the cod beta and it crashed every time , the specs were everything i wanted in a laptop but i feel its just going to be a hassle keeping it and will go for a better known brand instead

Great laptop for value, BUT it overheats really bad. The laptop supports up to 64Gb ddr4 SODIMM ram and has 2 Nvme spots. I would recommend a cooling pad for this laptop. other than the Heat and Crashes this laptop is better than my desktop.

Nice laptop for the price. It's not as fancy or premium quality as an Alienware or Asus, but for the price it's hard to complain. I feel Gigabyte cut corners in the right places to reach its affordable price. The build quality feels good. It's got a good selection of ports, however, the power plug port is in a terrible position. I may be the one-in-a-million who's actually glad the webcam is located on the bottom and away from the screen since I don't use the webcam at all. Not having a webcam on top of the screen gives it a much thinner bezel on top which looks more pleasing. I have mixed feelings about the keyboard. Personally I don't like having a numpad on 15-inch laptops. It makes the keyboard feel crowded and your hand position gets off-center when typing. If you're a habitual typer such as a programmer or student typing up essays, you might prefer a gaming laptop without a numpad. At least the keys sound quiet and feel pleasant when pressed. You can adjust the brightness of the RGB lighting or it can be turned off if you wish. There is no lighting for the Function key symbols. And to make it worse, the Function key can't be disabled! There's no BIOS setting that lets you adjust this which is just a bad oversight on Gigabyte's part. While it may be incredibly annoying pressing two keys to increase\decrease brightness, thankfully there's a workaround for easily adjusting volume. Windows 11 has a touchpad setting where you can set Volume Up and Volume Down as gestures (i.e. swipe up with three or four fingers to increase volume and down to decrease volume). I wish they placed the brightness keys all the way to the left or right and the volume keys on the other end (F1-F2 or F11-F12). It would make it so much easier to remember their location. Also, I find the brightness setting increments too high. There's too much of a disparity when going from 0 to 10 to 20 and so on. Sometimes I have to go to the Control Center to put it on 5, 15, 25 or whatever. For some odd reason, it doesn't save my 5, 15, 25, etc. settings after a restart or shutdown. The screen is average at best. It's not one of those full DCI-P3 or sRGB or HDR screens. Colors don't necessarily pop out but I plan to use a monitor or TV for gaming and media anyway. The viewing angles are much better than my old non-gaming laptop. Even though mine came with minor backlight bleeding on one spot on the bottom of the screen, it isn't very noticeable unless the brightness is turned up really high. Since I typically use the laptop at nighttime where I don't need to crank up the brightness, I'm not too bothered by it. With my random luck, I didn't want to risk exchanging it for one that might come with bigger issues. Like most laptops, the speaker quality is as cheap as they come. They sound tinny and lack bass. They're located on the bottom corners towards you. When you use headphones, just make sure to turn off the DTX effect in the app unless your headset supports it. Otherwise, the sound will be too hollow and not neutral enough. Windows 11 is amazing. I find it much better than Windows 10. However, I do experience some intermittent unresponsiveness or laggy performance as if there's an app running in the background that may be causing it and I can't figure out what it is. If someone can point me in the right direction on how to fix it or if there's a setting I just need to adjust, any response would be appreciated. It doesn't seem to occur while gaming though. Overall I'm satisfied with the laptop even with some of its minor issues. I peeled off all the manufacturer stickers on the touchpad area for a cleaner look and they all came out cleanly. Kudos to Gigabyte for a mostly bloatware-free experience even though their support could be better in case you happen to run into issues. I did find it strange that some of their latest driver updates on the Control Center app and on their website are outdated. So be careful when updating them.

Picked up the laptop when it was on sale for $1199. Has a full speed 3070 card and runs all games that I've tried at 1080p with 70fps+. Came with Windows 11 preinstalled and updated drivers and software quickly and efficiently. Control Center software does a great job switching to quiet when I'm not gaming and the fans do a great job removing the heat when I am. Very pleased with the performance and reliability of this little gaming beast.

There is a reason this laptop is out of stock. When it comes to build quality GIGABYTE is at the same level as other gaming brands such as ASUS and DELL. My personal gaming desktop is based on an ASUS motherboard but my 4080 OC video card is a GIGABYTE. Trust me on this one. The INTEL Core i7 11800H paired with the NVIDIA RTX 3070 is more than enough to satisfy your mobile gaming expectations.

It took me 2 tries to get a unit without memory issues but once I got a good one it's been great! Runs anything and everything at at least high settings at 120 fps minimum. It's also great for hooking up to my tv and running games at 4k (also at Max settings). It's a total steal if you can get it on sale!

First laptop I got was DOA. Crashed constantly on a few games, so I contacted Amazon support, and I had a replacement in a week. For the new one. Plays games very well! I can run any game at high/ultra with 60-100fps. GPU stays in the mid 70°c range under gaming load. Has a 130w tgp 3070 in it, so plenty of power for a laptop. It's upgradable! I out a 2TB Samsung 970 Evo in, and it works like a charm. It has a nice smooth 300hz 1080p monitor, and it looks nice. Good viewing angles, adequate brightness for indoor gaming. The keyboard leaves a bit to be desired, but it's a thin laptop keyboard so what can you expect? It comes with bloatware that can be expected on any prebuilt, but annoying nonetheless. The software for gigabyte is near useless. It doesn't save keyboard color configurations at all, and there's an "ai" profile changer in it that can get annoying. I would say overall 9/10 for a laptop. Would recommend.

Great value gaming laptop but the 240W brick it comes with is not enough to power at high draw, resulting in the laptop battery draining when gaming while plugged in.

This laptop has been going strong for me since I bought it almost two years ago. The battery lasts a long time and its computing speed is just as fast as day one. Beautiful image quality and responsive refresh rate. For a laptop, it's so nice that the the memory and graphics cards are able to be modified. I would highly recommend this laptop for anyone that is looking for a great gaming laptop or to use it in place as a desktop. Its processing power is going to be hard to beat in another laptop.

Speed wise it great, video card 130w superb, the main problem with this device it is the screen. With all that power and a 240Hz screen rate, it does not feel like you are getting a true video game quality. Colors feel a bit pallid and you could see in some occasions some tiny pixels that form images on the screen. For a 2022 laptop I think this should not be acceptable, what is the point of 240Hz screen rate and RTX 3070 in a FHD screen? Also the battery is really bad in terms of durability. If you got this laptop when it was $1200, I get it, probably it is a 5 star machine (price/value) but at the original price, I would look a different option like the Omen 16 or a ROG Zephyrus.

I was pleasantly surprised by this laptop. I purchased during a great sale and was not disappointed. Gaming on this machine is a breeze. The build quality seems very sturdy. What surprised me the most was the cooling on this machine. It runs even cooler than my PC when set up with a cooling pad. Just note the 3070 thia comes with is a lower wattage card, but still kicks butt. Bloatware on this laptop is at a minimum and the included tuning software from Gigabyte gets the job done well enough.
