Customers are saying

Customers love the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti EAGLE graphics card for its outstanding price compared to competitors. They appreciate the improved cooling system with a 3-fan design, which provides better heat dissipation. While some customers have expressed concerns about the VRAM, many are still pleased with the overall performance upgrade, especially when coming from older graphics cards like the 1060.

    Good, but HOT!

Card is good and powerful, but it is also very hot. Gigabyte doesn't seem to be the greatest at cooling solutions and they didn't even put any thermal pads on the back side of the memory between the backplate. The memory was running at 110C+ until I swapped out the thermal paste and thermal pads, in addition to adding some thermal pads to the backplate. Although the card works a lot better now, I shouldn't have to do that to a brand new card just to get it to not thermal throttle.

So far it’s been running amazing! I’m getting solid numbers on games the Assassins Creed and Red Dead Redemption 2 all maxed out. The temps are pretty good as well at least in my system. If you can get this card at $600 then it’s a steal.

Good but change the thermal pads on the VRAM!

Great 3070ti since is basically MSRP. All the other 3070ti's and 3070s are more expensive and not much faster. It's only a 2 slot card instead of something huge and its reasonably quiet. It does run really hot on the VRAM. The base plate isn't level on all of the VRAM chips, so you need a 1.5mm thermal pad and a 2mm thermal pad for the best contact on the die side of the GPU. Adding 2mm thermal pads on the back side of the GPU to make contact with the back plate helps some as well. Dropped my temps 20c+ on the VRAM and now the card is awesome. You need to buy whatever is in stock, but if you get lucky this a great one for the price.

Performs well and is relatively quiet. The build quality is acceptable, and there was no perceptible coil whine. Be aware that the price-performance suffers a bit compared to the options directly above and below this card tier. (3070 and 3080 at $499 and $699 respectively.)

I am lucky enough to grab one on a drop a month ago. Great card for the MSRP (that counts a lot this year). Performance should be similar to FE as it is not OC. The core is cool but thermal pads on memory are not that great. Fan is pretty quiet.

A 3070 Ti at a good value point

Let me start by saying that this went into a gifted build for a friend that really needed a new machine. I had been searching for any reasonably priced 3070 for a build and when this popped up at a VERY reasonable price I jumped on it. I had not used a Gigabyte component in a system for a long time and so I had been focusing my search on some other card makers but in 2021 we have to expand out horizons sometimes. I paired this up with an MSI Gaming Carbon B550 board with a Ryzen 5800X. When I got it all together and did some stress tests I was pretty pleased with the thermals and noise on this card. It didn't get very warm and wasn't really loud even under load. It's a reference board design 3070 Ti so you know you're getting that level of performance. I've heard nothing but praise for this on a 1440p 165Hz monitor from the friend after delivery was taken. I would highly recommend this card as a very reasonably priced 3070/3070 Ti.

At $599, in the 2021 GPU shortage, it's a steal.

Given the state of the GPU market in 2021, getting this card for $599 is an amazing deal. That's the same price as the Founders Edition card would have been, if there had ever been any available. In theory, at this price point the AMD 6800 is more powerful... but that assumes you can actually get one at MSRP. If you want to try your luck with AMD direct, have fun. Realistically, this is one of the most economical cards that will let you game at 4k. (Best Buy has occasionally be raising the price to $729. That isn't as great a deal. But if you can grab it for $599, don't even hesitate.)

Got this about a month ago after some quick fingers during a drop. Runs beautifully, perfect for 1440p gaming at max settings. Only issue is this bad boy is HOT. Slight undervolt and still hitting 87°C peak in games like Metro. Make sure you have good airflow so you don't have an oven. Still a steal at MSRP, considering market conditions right now.
