Great card, with great performance. However, the cooling fans and coil whine can be a bit noisy even under light loads.

    Driver oddities?

I’ve definitely experienced some odd driver situations with nVidia compared with my 6900 XT (which has worked flawlessly). There are definitely a few ray tracing titles that show some visual differences so certainly a fun thing to play around with….although admittedly just more of a fun thing for the time being.

Gigabyte cards aren’t the best IMO, but at least it’s not MSI.

Overpriced at time of purchase, hence was available for puchased. Besides that, it is a solid 3080 card.

Alright gpu but it costs is split between a 3080 FE and a 3080 TI FE I would probably buy a 3080 TI FE over this if possible

AVOID GIGABYTE GRAPHICS CARDS IF YOU CAN

I purchased the 3080ti version about a year ago and the product worked great for the first 8 months. However, one day my PC black screened out of nowhere mid game and would not turn on. After many hours of troubleshooting, I found out the graphics card had tried to draw too much power through the 8 pin connectors and fried them. After about a month dealing with Gigabyte's notoriously bad RMA service I eventually got a refund but only after paying $50 to ship my broken card across the county. I wanted to update my review for the card I purchased but Best Buy does not allow review updates or edits. So I decided to write my actual review here. Avoid Gigabyte cards at all costs! So far my EVGA replacement has given me significantly better performance at a lower price than my original gigabyte card.

My card worked for a while and then started overheating. Gigabyte wouldn't fix it, so I had to take care of it myself. I had to apply new thermal pads and paste. Fast forward to 5 months later and the card blew a MOSFET which I must now replace. I own a tech company here in Pittsburgh, and if someone calls with a bad 3080, I know it's almost always a Gigabyte RTXX 3080. The other problem is that Gigabyte has a horrible RMA system, so they almost always deny your request for service.
