Awesome GPU for traditional and VR gaming

Goes without saying it was a nightmare being able to actually buy this GPU - Took almost a month to actually get lucky enough to make it through checkout. Performance for both traditional and VR using Oculus Rift S is really awesome. Consistently get 100+ FPS with most games on a 120Hz display. Only complaint it is super long, and impacts 3 HDD slots in my system. Not the end of the world, but would prefer it to be about an inch shorter. But it keeps cool, and the fans aren't loud, so clearly optimized design for cooling.

Great Card With One Major Issue

I really wanted to love this 3080, and don't get me wrong the performance is great. The cooler design looks cool, is quiet, and effective. The RBG on the outside is a nice touch without being too flashy. But, Gigabyte has a pretty serious issue when it comes to this specific card. The thermal pads on the memory were defective casing the card to overheat and thermal throttle. Under load, memory temps would spike to 110 C causing the card to slow down. The card also doesn't come with any thermal pads between the back of the PCB and the backplate, so the back plate is basically useless outside of looks. After discovering the thermal issues, I replaced the thermal pads on the memory and added thermal pads to the back and saw significant performance improvement. This was only about a $20 fix, but on an $800 GPU, I would expect better from the factory. Here's the jist: The 3080 is a beast of a card if you're lucky enough to get one, but if you have the choice, I'd go with a different variant and save yourself some hassle.

The most powerful card I've ever used

The hype is real. The 3080 is by far the most powerful card I've ever owned. Its VERY large though so take that into consideration if you have a smaller case. I have a full size keyboard with a numpad and it's nearly the same size lol (see pics). But if you have the money, a case to fit it in, at least a 750w power supply and a decent cpu (i would recommend at least a 5800x, 5900x or 5950x) to pair it with, then you're going to be enjoying the most premium of premium gaming experiences.

So far this card has been amazing and the improvement from my 1080 TI is even better than expected. I have seen well over double the frames per second increase in 4K over my 1080 TI and games feel so much smoother. The temperature sits at 68 - 69 degrees Celsius in the most intense graphical portions of games with no fan adjustments by me which is an improvement from my previous card. It is a big card as many others have mentioned but if you have a full case or decent sized mid case you should be okay but double check the dimensions. Fans are not silent but they weren't as loud as my previous cards fans are so that is just another positive. A note about the extras included with purchase - Best buy sends out the e-mail for each redemption extra separately, one went to my main inbox and one with to my promotions inbox (Gmail) so be aware of that if you are unable to find one or both of the e-mails to check all of your inboxes if using Gmail. Obviously it has only been a few days for me so the quality and longevity will be revisited in the future but for now I have no complaints. The 4 year warranty really puts your mind at ease that you can be sure that even if there is an issue you can take it up with them and get it taken care of. There have been a few of negative reviews around about this card having issues but I have not run into any of them and fingers crossed I never will. If you are able to get your hands onto this one rest easy that you are making a good purchase.

This graphics card is beyond anything most gamers will need. Its a big step up from the 3070 and a huge leap from the 3060. I think the 3080 is the best bang for you buck if you can find one of these things. My only issue was the power connector was a little bent. I had to straighten out one of the connectors in order for the card to get the proper power. Once that was fixed, the card has been great ever since.

Works very well, and runs quiet without much hassle. The card is very warm but stays within spec. If you get the card, though, please remember to measure your case and make sure it'll fit first, because this card is absolutely MASSIVE. I can imagine buyers with older cases that have front drive slots filled will have trouble fitting it in.

Super doooper beast mode graphics card... YUUGE

Years late but I had to see how this was quality wise. First off I got this during launch for under $700. Most of my stars are for that. Overall its a beast, as it has a standard and turbo mode. Easy to control using MSI Afterburner. Never ran to hot. But... at one point it did get a bit hot, so a bit of research and I found out the thermal pads were trash. Replaced those just to be unable to use it as a couple of the pins where the power connects to came loose when disconnected. This was a known issue. Instead of waiting for a RMa and replacement I fixed it myself. So I took a star off for that. Otherwise it is def worth 5 Stars.,

Surprisingly a great card for the price. Whats awesome about this card is that if you get into changing the thermal pads it takes maybe 15 minutes at most. They have machined outlines of where they need to go not as good as evga or asus but its seriously up there and the price you cant beat

This GPU is good for Cyberpunk 2077. It's a little hard to get, but if you find one in stock, go for it and don't look back. Gigabyte has a lot of different models, but this one looks sleek and has minimum RGB. This is perfect for those that need high performance for a lower price. I'd still the Aorus version though, but it's still OOS everywhere.

This card stays under 70 degrees while overclocked for at +150 MHz core and +350 MHz memory. Pretty impressive, if you ask me. I do have a rather aggressive fan curve, but the fans are quiet, so it's the best of both worlds.

Aside from the availability problems, this is a great card for the money in comparison to 20-series. I have not experienced any crashing issues with this card and it stays clocked around 2025 Mhz under load. This is a heavy and long card, so make sure your motherboard and case can support it.

Awesome card, better than I had hoped. Upgraded from 1070, this card made Cyberpunk run with better settings and with RTX with >60 fps (thanks DLSS!). If you can get your hands on it for MSRP, I think that it's 100% worth the price.

Great card temps are really crazy low. High power puncher it’s kinda overkill for. 144hz 160fps 1440p monitor. Seems like it’s not even pushing the card.

This card is one of the cheaper of the AIB'S but performs nearly as well as the more expensive ones. The FE is the best bang for buck, but don't feel like you are settling with this one.
