Customers are saying

Customers admire the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 GAMING OC 12GB Graphics Card's performance and its substantial 12GB of RAM, praising its excellent cooling system and ability to maintain relatively low temperatures even under heavy load. However, some customers find the card's size to be a drawback, requiring a spacious computer case for installation. The high price point is also a recurring concern for some buyers.

Managed to finally get a hold of one after avoiding scalpers for the past year, and thankfully finally nabbed one. This thing is amazing, coming from a 2080 Super, this GPU is an absolutely amazing piece of tech. I was worried that it was gonna have a hard time fitting in my case, but re-routing some cables was not a big deal. Runs amazing, and stays fairly cool. My 2080 Super would hit about 81°C when running MW with relatively high settings, and no ray tracing, and this behemoth manages to hold down below 65° while on all maxed settings and ray tracing enabled.

This is probably the best card you can get right now for the price if you are willing to pay. I upgraded from a RTX 2070 Super FE to this after many months of not being able to snag a RTX 3080 FE. I will say without a doubt that this is better than the FE for one sole reason. The proprietary connectors that come off from the FE cards are ugly. My opinion of course. (not a performance reason) But if you do want a performance reason its the factory OC thats beats the FE cards. Duh Anyway this card REALLY impressed me in the Forza 5 benchmark and that alone deserves 5 stars. Every other game surpasses my expectation. Im sure this is great in 4k but I cannot justify the price of those monitors. The card does run fairly warm as expected just be warned it will warm up your room if you have no circulation of air. Also has very light "coil wine" but I wear headphone so I do not hear it. Overall a fantastic card for the value (compared to a 3080 Ti) and highly recommend for 1440p gaming. She is a BEAST! Thanks to Gigabyte for making this a LHR card. +1 for gamers. 0 for miners!

I bought this for my pc, primarily used for gaming. I had to upgrade my cpu to a Ryzen 5800 my 3800 couldnt keep up with this monster. Since then i run 1440 resolution max settings 140-170 with occasional drops in the 120's. Absolutely love this card.

I previously had a 1070 sli setup, but this 3080 is complete overkill. This gpu handles all triple A games with the settings maxed. I have mine set to vsync so the standard fps I experience is 120. If you are looking for a 3080 and this is all you can get, dont be dissapointed by the quality of this card. It is HEFTY and makes you feel like you got your moneys' worth. I certianly hope so at a current price of 1360

This video card has been great. Had a few issues installing it but it was related to my motherboard, not the card. Currently on sale which makes it a steal. I also bought an EVGA RTX 3080. This card is longer than that one, but that is because (I believe) the extra cooling. It runs about 7-9 degrees C cooler than the EVGA and has 5 video ports instead of 4. Also comes with a 4 year warranty which is longer than any of the others I've seen. Only downside, make sure you have a full-size case and can fit this massive card.

It's a really great GPU if you can find it on sale, but not worth the original price at all. It does run a little warm and can be noisy if you the cooling in your case isn't the best. That said, it's still cooler and quieter than the reference RTX 3080 or 3080 ti. Until the RTX 4000 series comes out you can't get much faster than this and everything else isn't worth the cost increase vs performance. If you can find it in stock at it's sale price, its a definite buy in my opinion. The card is also longer than most, I only have a half inch of space between it and my front radiator in a NZXT H510 Flow.

Bought for $799 - replaces $699 (2017 new purchased) GTX 1080 Ti In short, this is installed in an 8-year-old 4790K Gigabyte GA-Z97-X Gaming G1 board, 32GB DDR3 2800MHz RAM, 1440p 165Hz monitor, WIN10 system. My graphics run smoother. Not that they were stuttering or hitching but now looks and "feels" more fluid. FPS bump, with settings maxed on any title average is 20+. With DLSS titles, significantly more. I dont see FPS below 120 in anything I play, but am sure with the right title and maxed settings, my rig would struggle to do so. With custom fan curve (without fans running at 100%) the card hangs around 65*c max inside a TT Spedo Advance full-tower case. This case has high-air flow; 8 case fans + 2 AIO + 2 RAM fans. Performance vs. GTX 1080 Ti... No comparison, especially when DLSS is enabled. Multiplayer competition level bar risen SIGNIFICANTLY! Can't say enough about that. When you factor in that I only paid $100 more five years later for this RTX 3080 12G upgrade with an inflation rate at 9.1% (06/22) it was a beast of a deal! Highly recommend over the 10G and save $ over the Ti version.

This card exceeded my expectations by a million miles! It handles my 2k monitor 100hz Gsync 3440x1440 like NOTHING. I didn't even notice I had bought the 12gb version and this thing is a complete monster. There's nothing so far I can't throw at it that it won't be able to do. I stream on twitch sometimes and Warzone, League, D3 & Anything I stream is ridiculously smooth and I have no issues. The only thing that surprised me more than this card, was best buy! I had bought this with my BestBuy CC which was about 1350. About 14 days later, This exact same card went on sale on Amazon from Gigabyte for 1050! I reached out the BestBuy and they were more than happy to match the difference in price. Best deal I've gotten in quite a long time. I definitely recommend this card if you have the funds! I know it's still a bit expensive, but this should go down within a few months when the new 4000 series come out.

This was a major step up from my 3070, I wish it had a bit more RGB, but it would probably raise the price. So happy the GPU Dark Times are over (insert pic of Old Ben looking in the distance. The 12GB of RAM is very nice..

Solid card solid performance. Nice upgrade from a 3070 and the 12Gb step up from 10Gb 3080 models is a nice plus. Worth the money just make sure it fits your case card has length and girth.

Runs like a charm! I was originally concerned about heat buildup in my NZXT H510 case, but I’m getting steady temps of around 70-74 degrees, which isn’t bad at all. That’s when running at high capacity with games like RDR2 and Cyberpunk for 4-5 hours at a time. We’ll see how it holds up long-term, but the 4 year warranty gives me plenty of confidence.

This is probably one of the best video cards that I bought that was reasonable. I thought this card was 256bit but seems Nvidia control panel is reading it 384bit. Confirmed this is 384bit. More memory interface the better, I was told to buy this one instead of a 3080TI. Well worth the buy.
