Customers are saying

Customers value the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 VISION OC's high performance and effective cooling system, frequently praising its ability to handle demanding games smoothly. Many appreciate its aesthetically pleasing white design and sleek appearance, which complements white-themed builds. However, some customers note that the card's substantial size may present compatibility issues with certain computer cases. Overall, the positive feedback on performance and aesthetics outweighs concerns about the card's dimensions.

Ordering and Shipping: This was the first graphics card I have purchased and Best Buy's system for waiting in line actually worked pretty well. I was "waiting in line" for both an FE and this card and this is the card that I was able to check out with. I ordered on Nov. 20 for about $830 after tax and received the card on Nov. 28 in perfect condition. Quality: Build quality of the card is fantastic. No scuffs on the exterior, no scratches, perfect finish. This white, silver, and purple design is beautiful. I think this card is probably the best looking 30 series card. Performance: Stock performance on this card is fantastic. Stock idle temps for me (H510 Elite) were about in the low 40s during idle and during gaming sessions I never saw it go above 60 Celsius with highest settings enabled and ray tracing on in games like Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Ops Cold War. This card also maxes out my monitors refresh rates (155hz 1440p and 240hz 1080p) in pretty much every game that I throw at it except the most demanding games. With some help from MSI afterburner, I was able to get a +110 core clock and +750 memory clock. I also adjusted the fan curve so now my card idles in the mid 30s and never gets above 55 Celsius during gaming which I'd call a win considering the case I have. In addition, my memory junction temps never really go above the mid 70s during gaming and the card is pretty quiet, even with the adjusted fan curve. I'm unsure about how much this card draws in terms of power, but I'm running it using an NZXT 750W power supply and haven't had any issues. Cons: Honestly, I don't have much to say that's negative about this card. My biggest complaint is how poorly lit the Gigabyte logo is. I believe they only use 1 LED behind a light diffuser to light the logo and it looks quite poor. My other complaint is that on the side of the card facing you once it's installed, there's a cable that runs across the hit sink. The cable seems to be fine, but it doesn't look good considering the rest of the card looks incredible. While not really a con, I'd be weary of how physically big the card is. It is a LARGE card and may not fit every case that you try to put it in. In my H510 Elite, I have a little less than an inch of clearance between the end of the card and the radiator. Final Thoughts: Overall, I'd recommend this card to anyone and everyone. Even in my H510 Elite case, which is known for bad thermals, it outperforms my friends founders edition 3080s in both temps and gaming and one of them is running their card in a Meshify C, a high airflow case. If you're able to get your hands on this card, consider yourself lucky. Gigabyte did a fantastic job with it and I'm very happy and lucky to have been able to get one when I did and have been so blessed with it thermally. Finally, at the time I purchased the card, I paid $830 after tax. At this price, I would consider the card to be a good value. At current prices, I would not consider this card, or any card similarly priced, to be that good of a value, but I will use the price I purchased it at for the breakdown.

Took 4 months to snag one, but well worth it. Upgraded from a 1070ti there was a huge performance boost in games. Handles 1440p gaming very well. -Card is big so make sure to have a case, length wise, that’s big enough to support this beast. Pros - graphic quality - aesthetically pleasing - easy to set up - customizable Gigabyte logo colors Cons - price - Fan software isn’t the best (new updates take a long time to download)

    Best looking 3080

Super hard to buy, but this is the best looking 3080 in my opinion. Plays Black Ops Cold War Multiplayer in 1440p at 200-240 FPS on medium settings with DLSS on quality and Ultra textures pack installed. Runs pretty steady at 60⁰C while gaming on the stock fancurve. I OC'd to +150 on the core clock and +500 on the memory, but these cards seem to crash a lot if they run faster than 2100MHz on the core clock, so depending on your ambient temperature you'll have to dial that core back, I settled on +115 on the core to keep the clock under 2100MHz while gaming to avoid crashes. Pulls around 358Watts under 100% load, and you cannot increase the power limit above that. Super clean looking and quiet. Catch myself just staring at it all the time.

This is a fantastic RTX 3080 card if you can find it in stock. In terms of temps it reaches max 68 C under full load while gaming with the fans not ramping up too loud. It is very well made and fits the white aesthetic very well (it is the only white RTX 3080 that I know of atm). One trivial detail is that the Gigabyte logo only has one LED that lights from the right side so the light is uneven.

Great card hamstrung by subpar thermal pads

The Gigabyte Vision OC 3080 is a great card and a great overclocker after some modification. In games and while mining it was thermal throttling on the memory controller, rapidly hitting 110C. I opened it up and replaced the thermal pads over the memory and memory controller with Gelid 2mm pads. I also placed some 2.5mm pads between the memory and the backplate though I'm not sure how much those are actually contributing. The pads between the memory and the cooler are the most important ones. After this modification the memory controller never exceeds 82C and my in-game and mining overclocks are much more stable. It seems like Gigabyte cheaped out on this key component of the card but after adding another $20 to an $1100 card it really shines. If you manage to pick one of these up I can't recommend this modification enough even if you aren't planning on mining. Just in-game temps were causing thermal throttling out of the box. Also it is a chonky boi. Make sure it's going to fit in your case before you buy one. In addition to being a 2.5 slot card. it's large enough that it required I remove the extra hard drive cage from my Fractal Design Define R4 and it's almost as deep as a Noctua NH-D15.

What can I say, it’s the RTX 3080 and hard to get hands on one. This version however, has clean lines, unique color scheme and an overall great look. Performed exceptionally well out of the box. Blows away all previous generations at a fraction of the cost

Originally tried to secure an FE, but I have no qualms ordering this version - it goes beautifully with my white PC case and PSU cables. I don't overclock on my own, but I still reach 2010 Mhz occasionally when playing the Witcher 3 in 4K 160hz with upgraded texture mods, with 100-130 FPS always. Card runs cool in my average airflow case (h510i), haven't gotten past 73 degrees. Even in mid 60% fan speed, the card is still relatively quiet. I typically game with studio monitors, I don't really hear my PC over the game noise.

Best car did you can get your hands on it. I had all the stock alerts and got this card out of shear luck one morning when one of these alerts woke me up. Could not be happier with this card but disclaimer: ITS HUGE! I had to take off the extra hard drive bay just to make this thing fit! Make sure to measure it out before buying.

Perfect for my white build with 275r airflow. It is so powerful that for most games, it is even reluctant to run. (Only Cyberpunk 65fps with dlss and ray tracing lol) . However, the memory is kinda hot, so if you do heavy duty tasks, you have to replace the thermal pads and add some extra. I don’t like the way Gigabyte’s customer service address this issue.

The most beautiful card I have owned with performance that matches. Upgraded from a 1070 and the difference was insane especially in VR. I highly recommend getting this card if you have the chance. I appreciate that most of the Gigabyte cards have an extra port which is nice for being able to choose which cable you want to use more freely.

Wow is this card amazing. Looks fantastic in a white case build and runs like a champion. I run 2k resolution and it’s easily pushing 200 frames ultra settings on COD Cold War with ray tracing off. With ray tracing on I average around 120-140 frames.

Stock this card is great for gaming. For anything else, memory temps get too high and it thermal throttles. Pad swap is required to keep temps reasonable but most ppl wouldn't so that. Best looking 3080 though!

Performs incredibly well. Was able to play all of my titles on 1440p with gsync enabled and the fps locked in to 165 (monitor refresh) and never faltering. Card is running cool in my high air flow case, temps staying at 56c under load. I have a 3080ti evga ftw to compare this card to and honestly for the titles I play they perform the same, but the Gigabyte 3080 draws much less power and the system is much cooler as a whole. Be warned, one of the reasons this card runs so cool is the MASSIVE size. It is 320 mm long. Do not overlook this as it does not fit in many cases due to this.

The card was very easy to install and has no issues with any sort of noticeable sag. Out of the box there was no defects, and it runs very quietly when playing a game. The card can run modern games on Ultra settings with 120+fps at 1440p. The only potential downside is that it is a large card so make sure your case has plenty of clearance.

I don't really have much to say. It's a 3080. It performs like a 3080. The only real difference here is how beautiful this Gigabyte variant really is. It's gorgeous. I love looking into my case and seeing the thing. My only issue was that one of the pins in one of the power connectors was bent, which I fixed with a tweezer.

I've ran this card at full load for almost 2 years minus updates etc...and I couldn't ask for more from it's performance....temps in the mid 50's to mid 60's depending on work unit.....memory runs a little warm as has been documented but no reason to disassemble, re-paste and lose your 3 yr. warranty in the process...leave that to the builders who like to tinker for the sake of tinkering and I've found it unnecessary to even consider. I'll eventually upgrade to a 400 series or higher but the power requirements/cost for my hobby of folding are becoming a bit cost prohibitive at this point. To summarize it's been a very reliable card and can definitely handle gaming sessions....it's the power on and off that'll kill the system/card before running it hard.

Probably the best looking 3080 on the market currently. Runs relatively cool hitting max 68C when gaming for me in a Fractal Design 7 with front door closed. Very happy with this card so far a huge jump up from the 2070Super. The card is quite large and doesn't sag currently but it looks like it could.
