A Glorious 75% KB, solid, fancy, top tier, $$$

TLDR - The glorious GMMK 3 Pro is an absolute top tier keyboard, SO solid, great lighting, ok software, but kind of lacks in value? You may be able to make an argument for easily replaceable keys aiding in longevity, and an easily replaceable USB-C cord also.
Overall, this is it as far as top tier 75% keyboards go. I’ve used many from many manufacturers, and they all have their pluses and minuses, but this one does stand out. As soon as I felt the heft in my hands after unboxing, I knew Glorious means business with this. (I had to grab my kitchen scale, it was a few oz under 4 lbs., crazy!) I went from a mainstream brands near top 75% keyboard, and the difference was shocking. It's a plastic feather vs this GMMK aluminum beast.
The software is probably one of the few nitpicks I have. You do have a decent amount of functionality, but it seems clunky, plus oddly massive for a peripheral software. Luckily there wasn’t much that I needed to do in it. (other than get the lighting to my preference)
Customization is obviously top tier with this keyboard, being able to switch keys quickly and easily is awesome, and then having a user replaceable USB-C cable is great considering you’ll want this thing to last a good long time.
I get there are boutique products, but the only real negative that I have is the value. I understand the draw of the customization and solid construction, but it seems like you can get 80-85% of this keyboard for 30-40% (or more) less. If cost isn’t an issue with this beast, then go for it!

Absolutely solid built keyboard.....
The weight and feel of the metal you can tell that this is a super solid built keyboard. Sits on my desk nicely. Won't move around during crazy game play.
Setup was a super easy. Was able to download their software and I was up and running.
Plug and play. I plugged it in. Software was super easy to use and set the lighting pattern I wanted.
Played a variety of games. Game play was great no lag. Key strokes were nice. Swappable key are a nice function.
The keys sit nicely on your fingers and is really comfy. Gotta have comfort for long playing hours.
Wired is good so batteries are not a worry. I really hate it when batteries die during game play or use it have to find a charger to connect and it throws me off.
A lot of settings for lights and preset options to pick from. A lot of different colors and patterns are available. Lights are nice on the eyes and does not have a glare affect.
Super solid buy for gaming. I would strongly recommend for gaming.

New Fan Of Customizable Keyboard!!

I have never thought I would be a fan of customizable keyboard. It seems daunting, seems unnecessary, seems it's for a specific type of person (gamer, or typist), and all that has changed with what I have in front of me.
From the get go, when you open the box and remove the keyboard, it feels weighty. It's 4lb and feels very solid and professional. The design is a clean, mature looking layout, with just a simple knob, and all the more common buttons closely spaced around (delete, page up/down, etc) and a simple light to indicate the mode you're in. That's it. The RGB is brightly lit, and there's some glow to the side of the keyboard to accent more colors from different angles, giving it a very sharp modern apperance.
The keyboard I have are the red switches, or "fox" switches. It feels very fast/smooth, for rapid typing during gaming, and it certainly doesn't disappoint. I took it for a spin on a few games, and everything feels tight. It's not very clicky, I'm used to a little more clickiness from other gaming keyboards, but it definitely feels sharp.
I was not able to test out all the features, as the software would not update, and was not updated to detect my keyboard (see pictures enclosed). However, I imagine it would be similar to previous generations where you can customize the keys, the lighting, and functional keys etc. But without it working, I have to say I was not able to test out all of the features the keyboard has to offer.
Finally to the main show of the keyboard, the ability to customize. Something like a monitor, or keyboard, are one of those major components of a computer. The keyboard is the interface you will be touching, the physical connection you see to your computer, at all times. You can customize this keyboard in so many ways, the face plate, the heaviness, the keycaps can have all sorts of designs, the feel of each key can be different if you like. Unlike other gaming keyboards, what people tend to do are to put in the red switches for WASD, for first person shooter games so those keys feel 'gamey', then all other keys to a different mechanical switch, such as brown or green. I've never thought I would entertain such an idea, but the included keycaps gives you a good idea how a key would feel like, and I can see alot of people would catering their key switches to their personal feel, as well as having designed keycaps to show their personality (ie a rose for the escape button, a coffee cup for delete, or having different colored keys for different parts of the keyboard).
I am the last person to think I would love something like this, but I am loving this. It just feels like a grown up version of a keyboard and the unlimited ways to customize the keyboard no longer seems daunting but more fun and interesting given how simple it is.

AMAZING Keyboard Let Down by Its Software.

The Glorious GMMK PRO 3 custom keyboard is wonderful. It feels premium, its looks premium, and it sounds premium. The keyboard comes in a very nice Apple-like box with little compartments to open and comes wrapped in parchment paper. Included in the box are the keyboard, braided USB-A to USB-C cable, key cap and switch tools, screwdriver, 3 samples of Glorious’ other switch types, and some spare screws. It also includes the needed keys to change it to an Apple compatible keyboard.
The keyboard weighs a solid 5 lbs. of aluminum. The back-plate is solid and has a deeply machined GLORIOUS logo in the center. The sides and back are a nicely angled wedge with a flat front. On the back you have a cutout in the wedge for the USB-C cable to connect and a switch to flip the keyboard from Windows to macOS compatibility.
The included keys are Glorious Fox linear switches. They have a nice buttery smooth feel to them with a medium resistance to prevent accidental inputs. Each keystroke is stable and rattle-free with no side-to-side play that I could detect. Plus, they’re transparent, allowing the RGB to really pop. Like any high-end keyboard, they are best seen in person so you can feel the keys for yourself.
The best I can describe the sound is almost a marble on glass. It’s a very soft sound that makes it a joy to type. They all sound fabulous except the space bar. While it doesn’t sound bad, it has a very different sound which is kind of distracting since it doesn’t sound like the other keys. Glorious did include a couple of their O-Rings which are deigned to go under the keys to shorten and dampen sound to the users liking. I put them on the bottom of the space bar, and it helped. Some may take this as a nitpicky complaint, but when you’re spending $200+ on a keyboard, I feel it's something to pay attention to.
The switches are MX-compatible, so you can stick any high-quality brand of key caps on that you wish. Glorious makes many nice sets, including limited editions that come out every month, that can allow you to make the keyboard uniquely yours. They also offer braided curled keyboard cables, different color aluminum top housings, rotary knobs, etc.
The included key caps are GPBT Double shot, meaning they are a very dense, dual layered textured plastic. The top layer has a nice texture and helps prevent unwanted shine over time from your skin oil. The denser plastic also gives you a deeper, thonkier sound to each key press. The clear under layer contains the key legends, so they won't scrape off over time while also allowing the RGB light to shine thru.
Now to the not so good things. Glorious chose not to include any paper manuals with the GMMK 3 PRO, only QR codes that at the time of this writing do not link to any real web pages. I’m unable to review how easy or hard it is to modify the switch plates, foam inserts, or switches. The key caps themselves pop off easily with the included tools. But that’s about all I can tell you.
Glorious also included a link of the prerelease version of their Core 2.0 software for me to install so I could modify settings. About all I could do was adjust the input sensitivity and poling rate for the switches. This is a nice touch for people with accessibility issues, people learning to type and professionals doing data entry, etc.
Adjusting the RGB on the other hand was worthless. The only pattern that showed my what it would end up looking like was the Glorious Mode. All the rest were a single red color and didn’t show the pattern. I was better off using the function and arrow key to change the pattern on the fly.
Another issue is just the overall function of the software. It provides options for me to adjust how often it checks for updates, if I want it to start with Windows, and even to turn off the keyboard lighting after a certain amount of time of inactivity. NONE of these options work! I had to go into Windows Task Manager to disable Core 2.0 from starting with Windows. No matter what I adjust the RGB would not turn off after any amount of time.
It’s just a shame that such a wonderful (and expensive) keyboard is let down by this dumpster fire of a companion app. This is a pre-release version of Core 2.0 that I was provided so hopefully these complaints will be addressed in the near future. However, if you go to places like Reddit, many people do not like the Core 2.0 that has existed for some time already and wish Glorious would bring Core 1.0 back. So, time will tell if anything improves in this regard.
Honestly, I just ended up setting my poling and input latency rates and saved them to the 3 profiles and shut down the software. The keyboard has built in memory with a profile switch on the back, so I just use it and the FN + arrow keys to change my RGB.
In conclusion this is an ABSOLUTELY wonderful keyboard to start your adventures on custom keyboarding that has to be felt and heard to be appreciated. It's a joy to use… as long as I don’t have to open up the Core software to do anything.

Big Boy "Mini" Keyboard
|

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
You keyboard is a very important part of your overall computer setup. While gamers normally purchase keyboards for gaming, they play a huge part in everything you do on your computer. With the GMMK 3 Pro, Glorious has made a very serious "mini" keyboard that works great not just for gaming, but for day to day use as well.
To be clear, I'm not judging the GMMK 3 Pro in comparison to a full-sized keyboard. What I will say is for someone who's used to using a full-sized keyboard, the transition took very little effort.
As for the GMMK 3 Pro itself...this is a grown-up gaming keyboard, and you'll notice it as soon as you remove it from the box. The aluminum based definitely adds weight, but also gives more of a premium feel to it. Outside of just feeling cool (literally and figuratively due to it being metal) the aluminum base prevents movement on the keyboard during use. Sometimes, with lighter boards, when going a little hard on the keys I feel wiggle..not here. "
In regards to the actual feel of the keys and typing/tapping them? Smooth. Each press feels effortless. Glorious credits their "Glorious Fox Switches" and I'll have to admit, you definitely feel a difference between a lot of keyboards with the presses on this one. I've been using the knob for it's default feature, volume, but having easy access to spin a knob and control volume is a solid addition.
For those who love RGB, it's present here. The amount of customization in the Glorious Core software seemed a little daunting at first...and I mean that in a good way.
While I may not getting into the customization side of things with the GMMK 3 Pro, having it as an option is a nice addition. For those more in to that, it may carry more value.
Overall, the GMMK 3 Pro meets all my needs, and needs I don't have, while excelling at the base function of any keyboard...key presses. For those looking to save space, not in need of a numpad, and looking for a premium feeling gaming keyboard, the GMMK 3 Pro by Glorious is a no-brainer option.

Glorious keyboard evolved!

The latest keyboard lineup and specifically the GMMK 3 Pro is a great addition and upgrade to my setup! I’ve been using mechanical keyboards for over 9 years and they have certainly evolved over the years. The focus is now a lot on enthusiasts who want to be able to tinker with different feels, switches, and settings. This board does all that and is still a great performer!
Unboxing/setup/first impressions: Taking the keyboard itself out the box gave me a sense of confidence as this thing is heavy! I went ahead and got a feel of the stock switches that come with this - the Fox linears, and they felt great and smooth right out the box. After that you will find a ton of extras located in the pockets which I won’t lie had me overwhelmed a bit at first, but I quickly figured out what everything was for and it’s nice that it’s all included. Speaking of which…
What’s included - Keycaps for mac users, switch & keycap puller, 3 sample switches (Fox, Panda, and Raptor) o-rings, gasket modules, and a screwdriver.
Design: The keyboard is made almost entirely out of metal and is placed in a rather thick case with large bezels all around - it's a 75% board but it surprisingly feels “chonky” which I don’t like and would have much rather seen a thinner case and bezels. Besides the usual keys you also get a nifty metal volume knob which doubles as a mute switch when pressing it - great for functionality! The stock Glorious branded double shot PBT keycaps are mostly recessed into the board, and they feel great with no wobble at all. I’m also surprised how well RGB shines through these given they are PBT and not ABS. There is no height adjustment on the backside, but for me it was already perfect. Near the middle where your USB-C cable plugs in you also get toggle buttons for Windows/Mac and cycling between profiles (3 total)
Features/performance: This board focuses a lot on customizability and it’s a board you can “build upon” you can safely take this board apart and it’s more beginner friendly. Besides the usual customizations you can do like - custom cable, keycaps, and switches (supports 3 pin or 5 pin) you can also tune things like the gaskets if you prefer a certain cushioned feel. I personally like how everything feels stock and would only change the keycaps and switches if I ever get bored, but it’s nice that I’m not limited to just that if I change my mind. In terms of performance everything is on point! In-game everything felt responsive and it's a great option for all games especially FPS titles where the short travel distance of the Fox switches means you’re getting almost instant responses. It’s not the fastest keyboard in the world, but certainly is still fast enough for modern standards.
Build/QC: The build is solid like a tank! No parts are loose or feeling off. My only minor complaint is the stock cable feels a bit loose, but I’ve tried others and they felt more snug so it’s something that can always be changed.
Software: Last thing I want to mention is the new Glorious Core 2 software - everything is easy to find and access, but it’s definitely been buggy to start off. RGB settings don’t preview properly, the save toggle is weirdly labeled, and it’s generally slow. Hopefully it improves in the future, but at least you can save your settings to the board.
I highly recommend the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro 75%!
Pros:
* Customizability
* Performance
* Sound and feel
* 75% layout with volume knob
* RGB
Cons:
* Bulky design
* Software needs work

This Thing's Heavy!

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
***Introduction:***
Is this a device of a quality which fits the cost? Let’s talk about that.
***General Quality:***
The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO has many features that feel premium in quality. Firstly, the chassis is a very satisfying - and heavy - aluminum. My friends and I were all startled by the weight. The keys are made of a sturdy, textured plastic that feels almost like cerakote - very fitting for the aesthetic of the chassis.
***Typing Experience:***
The typing experience is mixed, with varied-size keycaps equaling varied input pressure required to activate them. The shape of the keys is like a vertical channel, which makes it easy for fingers to land confidently. The home row indicators are prominent enough to make finding them with your index fingers quick, though unintrusive. The travel is smooth and quiet, although the spacebar makes a markedly louder and distinguished sound compared to the rest. You may end up driving co-workers and/or significant others crazy by the sound of it, should you find yourself typing often.
***Volume Knob and Controls:***
The “volume” knob (programmable to function as other things) is a quality, knurled aluminum, which would be satisfying to interact with if the actual sensor underneath were fundamentally different. The look is that of premium audio equipment, but the feel is that of an inexpensive middle mouse wheel.
***Lighting and Color Options:***
Key color options are numerous, including activation of specific keys with specific colors, key regions, or the whole keyboard. You can actually set very specific color and behavior options using the Glorious CORE Software. Colors shine through with a low to medium brightness - not bright enough to dazzle in a regularly-lit (office) environment. If you prefer you can use the software set up “macros” - which allow you to perform custom actions via button combinations.
***Customization and Key Cap Swapping:***
The ability to change out caps to integrate better with a Mac system is definitely welcome, though the space available around the key caps to use the included plastic cap-puller is minimal. Only the metal puller was narrow enough to be able to fit around the escape key - you have to slide it over the cap to get to the bottom of the base, and I didn’t want to scratch the cap, so I didn’t try pulling esc. I did successfully pull the Q cap, however, utilizing the additional room available where other caps are staggered. I didn’t try replacing any switches.
***Device Integration and Toggles:***
There is a toggle on the back of the keyboard to swap it to easily integrate as a Mac-specific device. There is another, 3-way toggle I’m not sure about (documentation was lacking)—perhaps a switch for custom typing/macro modes.
***Conclusion:***
Overall, I like the device for many reasons, but the inconsistent weight of keypresses, mixed with the annoying sound of the spacebar, the non-premium feel of the programmable knob, and the potential to scratch your key caps while changing them, knocks the rating down for me to a 4 star.

This is the keyboard for actual gaming rig enthusiasts. It brings about the love for really customizing each component of your keyboard, actually spending time, trying out different things from time-to-time. This is a tinkerer’s dream—from the multi-component hardware adaptability and flexibility, to the software tweaks like lighting and key bindings. For me, for the most part, it is more the usability more than aesthetics. I am totally for the key clicks, the right amount of feedback and the comfort of how it the presses work for my gameplay. The endless design options are so tempting, if they aren't just so expensive. But that's what I like about this is keyboard makes it easy for even just simpletons like me on making customizing very very easy.
Ease of use and build quality
I love how Glorious kept me interested in customizing it—there wasn’t anything scary about dismantling it, as I used to not want to change other components for the fear of breaking something. But this keyboard is simple to dissect, with keys, plates or screws that are pretty simple to figure out. Also, It has so much compatibility with other OEM or aftermarket components that I know I can replace them should I snap something out of anxiety. This specific keyboard though has a very solid build, from the actual default build, the sturdiness and quality of the components. I know some of my buddies don’t prefer the 75, but the weight of this keyboard makes it perfect on my desk and still keep everything intact when I smash that W repeatedly.
Customization
In time I know I will replace the keys with other colors that will match my cherry red desk, perhaps when the foam layer starts to flatten. The key return for me at default is perfect, no mushy bounces or misclicks, so definitely no drive for me to change any hardware components. For now, the lighting customizations really help because when I play my dark scene games or I want to play GTA or Star Wars in the dark, I just need to know I see my appropriate keys, and the key customization can be very specific per key with matching brightness levels. This doesn’t mention yet the key combos I can create—but I can also create custom keys per game which I can tie to profiles. Each profile can be switched easily using the switches at the top of the keyboard, so I matched it with my top 2 games with the last being a generic key build.
I am happy this makes it easy for me, not just in my daily gaming performance, but also in upgrading how gaming rig looks. I know I am the only one who really appreciates how my desktop looks like. But that’s why I customize it for me. And Glorious knows how to cater to my desires. I recommend.

All GMMK no Pro

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
THIS… Is the GMMK 3 Pro and the next ‘Big’ movement in Gloriouses product line where they are seemingly refreshing their whole lineup to match a numerical scheme .. thus the GMMK 3 Pro is born! I have to say though from the box… with 1k polling, no included fancy cable and no HE switches …I am waiting to see what might be ‘Pro’ about this keyboard. Does the build quality and other creature comforts make up for some lacking pro features seen on other keyboards…? Lets take a look!
Opening the box, I can tell that the GMMK 3 Pro is on a different frame than the original GMMK Pro, as the key layout is slightly more compact and omitting a Button for an … Led light? This makes the keyboard ever so slightly smaller, but certainly not lighter! Weighing over 2 pounds, picking this up out of the box made me giddy from the hefty alone! The very nicely made CNC aluminum housing packs extra dampening foam and adjustable gaskets around the bottom of the keyboard to make your typing experience as customizable as possible. Mated to this CNC chassis is an all metal backplate and Linear Fox Switches … Not HE switches… and while the GMMK 3 Pro touts being ultra customizable, you will never be able to use HE switches with rapid trigger due to the keyboard only having 1k polling and not 8k polling… so at this point I am already limited to basic keys and locked out of any keys needing more than 1k polling which is super disappointing. I really don't understand why this is done, possibly to provide integrity to their product lineup? That being said, Glorious has a cheaper HE 8k Polling GMMK 3 keyboard without the aluminum housing… so why does the ‘Pro’ lack features that the lower tier keyboard has? I initially thought this was to preserve the Gmmk 3 Pro HE… which is ANOTHER $100 to unlock the aluminum keyboard with the pro features, but it is wireless! So wired Glorious gamers are either going to have to get a keyboard without the well built chassis or get the top end model for 8k polling which to me is vert disappointing.
I think at this point in the review, I would normally shift over to the highlights of the keyboard and what it hits really well… but this is just a repackaged GMMK Pro keyboard with an adjustable gasket mounted tray… for $260… this is absurd! I mean there is genuinely almost no discernible difference (outside from the minor layout change) from the GMMK 3 Pro to the original GMMK Pro down to the same Fox switches. I can get an all aluminum 75% 8k Polling HE keyboard of the same quality for less from another brand and less than half the price from glorious itself if I am fine omitting some novelty features (cnc housing, key caps, etc). But at this point in time I cannot recommend this keyboard with that price tag considering it is missing ‘Pro’ features.
The last bit I wanted to touch on before departing is the software included with GMMK keyboards, the updated GMMK Core software. It is good, clunky for sure but you can get what you want out of it. It is both nothing special and just enough to get the job done, but certainly can be cleaned up still to save a few clicks.
Overall and to wrap this up, I am really disappointed to have to leave such a negative remark on a brand that I do truly love and will continue buying keyboards from when they make sense. But the GMMK 3 Pro is all GMMK and no Pro at all, and insensible at $260 in the current keyboard market. When everyone in the keyboard market is moving to a CNC aluminum housing, 8k Polling, gasket mounted keyboards and all the trinkets that made the original GMMK so successful… it is really disappointing to see that GMMK really left all the gimmicks and ponies on the sideline in a product that could have been so great. If you are dead set on this keyboard, then I would 100% nudge you towards the GMMK Pro at Bestbuy as it is essentially the same keyboard with an included wrist rest and coveted coiled cable for almost the same price.

This keyboard has been giving me a great experience since setting it up last week. I have used several other types of keyboards in the past but this once does seem to check most boxes.
Firstly, this keyboard is tiny, tenkey-less to be exact. This is the only small thing that has been slightly annoying to getting use to. Its not a deal break but it is something that Is a tad new to me. Nevertheless, still a very solid accessory. The build of this is part mechanical too, meaning there needs to be more components inside which contributes to its sturdy build. This is probably one of the heaviest keyboards that I've even owned, even with it being smaller than most others I have used in the past. This gives me comfort in the fact that its build strong and if I end up hitting a key a bit harder than I should it wont break on me.
The next cool thing about this keyboard is its ability to be customized. The lights, knobs, etc can be customized with different color choices, patterns etc. This has always been a neat feature to me as when I am gaming in the dark it provides the small amount of light needed to assure I am hitting the keys correctly. In terms of usage, this keyboard is very responsive and has shown no issues on a technical front in terms of ability to perform.
All in all this keyboard has a solid build and has the ability to be customized. Its tenkeyless but that does not impact the overall feel or performance. Highly recommended.

Glorious Fox Switches: Smooth and Fast
The GMMK 3 PRO comes equipped with Glorious Fox switches, which are linear and incredibly smooth—perfect for fast-paced gaming. These switches are pre-lubed, so they’re ready to go right out of the box, saving you the hassle of doing it yourself. They’re responsive, quiet, and feel great under your fingers, making them a joy to use whether you’re gaming or typing.
Durable Doubleshot GPBT Keycaps
The keycaps are made from doubleshot GPBT, which means they’re tough as nails. They won’t fade or develop that dreaded greasy shine over time, and they allow the RGB lighting to shine through with just the right amount of flair. Whether you’re a hardcore gamer or just someone who types a lot, these keycaps are built to last.
Premium Aluminum Build: Sturdy and Stylish
The GMMK 3 PRO doesn’t just feel premium—it is premium. The case is made from CNC-machined aluminum on both the top and bottom, giving it a solid, weighty feel. The aluminum switch plate adds extra rigidity, enhancing the overall typing experience by making each keystroke feel precise and satisfying. This keyboard is built to last and looks fantastic on any desk.
Hot-Swappable Switches: Endless Customization
If you’re someone who loves to tinker, you’re in luck. The GMMK 3 PRO’s hot-swappable sockets let you easily change out the switches without soldering. Whether you’re testing out new switch types or just want to customize your typing experience, the ability to swap switches is a game-changer. Plus, the board supports both 3 and 5-pin switches, so your options are wide open.
Modular Gasket System: Customize Your Cushion
The modular gasket system allows you to fine-tune the cushion and feel of your keystrokes. With the included gasket modules, you can adjust how soft or firm you want your typing experience to be. It’s like tailoring the keyboard to fit your exact preferences, whether you like a plush, cushioned feel or something a bit more responsive.
Detachable Cable: Flexible and Convenient
The detachable USB Type-C cable might seem like a small feature, but it adds a lot of flexibility. Whether you want to use a custom coiled cable for aesthetics or just need to replace a worn-out cable, the GMMK 3 PRO has you covered. This small detail makes a big difference in the overall user experience.
Sound Dampening and O-Rings: Quiet Typing
Included in the box are sound-dampening foam and O-rings, which help to reduce noise during typing. This is a fantastic feature if you’re working in a shared space or just prefer a quieter keyboard. The dampening foam gives the keyboard a more muted, satisfying sound without sacrificing the mechanical feel.
Programmable Volume Knob: Tailor-Made Control
The volume knob on the GMMK 3 PRO isn’t just for adjusting volume—it’s fully programmable through the Glorious Core software. You can customize it to control RGB lighting, skip tracks, adjust brightness, or whatever else you might need. It’s a small but powerful feature that adds to the overall customization of the keyboard.
MacOS Keycaps: Apple-Friendly
Mac users, rejoice! The GMMK 3 PRO includes Mac-specific keycaps for CMD and OPTION, making it a great choice for those who use a Mac and still want to enjoy a premium mechanical keyboard. It’s a thoughtful addition that shows Glorious hasn’t overlooked any details.
Sampling of Switches: Test Before You Commit
One of the coolest extras in the box is the single Fox, Panda, and Raptor switches included for sampling. If you’re curious about how different switches feel before committing to a full set, this is a fantastic way to try them out. It’s a small but incredibly thoughtful inclusion that adds value to your purchase.
Ultimate Customizability: Tailor to Perfection
Every aspect of this keyboard is customizable, from the switches and keycaps to the sound-dampening foam and RGB lighting. Whether you’re a beginner who’s just getting into the world of mechanical keyboards or a seasoned enthusiast who knows exactly what you want, the GMMK 3 PRO offers endless possibilities for making the keyboard your own.
---Cons---
Weight: Heavy-Duty Build
The keyboard weighs in at 3.9 pounds (1.77 kg), which is on the heavier side. While this gives it a sturdy, premium feel, it could be a downside if you’re someone who needs to move their keyboard around frequently. It’s not exactly portable, but that’s a trade-off for the excellent build quality.
Keycap Design: A Bit Plain
The doubleshot GPBT keycaps are high-quality, but their design is a bit plain. If you’re someone who likes a bit more personality or flair in your keyboard’s appearance, you might find yourself wanting to swap them out for something more vibrant or unique.
---Conclusion---
The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO 75% Wired Mechanical Keyboard is a powerhouse of customization, build quality, and performance. Whether you’re into gaming, typing, or just want a keyboard that feels as good as it looks, this board delivers. Its weight and somewhat plain keycaps might be minor drawbacks for some, but these are easily overshadowed by the sheer versatility and premium feel of the keyboard. If you’re looking for a mechanical keyboard that can grow and evolve with you, the GMMK 3 PRO is an excellent choice.

I have used mechanical boards for a few years now for the better gaming experience as well as the improved typing experience for working. I’ve always bought full size keyboards since that’s what I’m used to, and I have plenty of desk space.
Glorious Gaming keyboards can be purchased on their site with complete customization for you, this board is a “prebuilt”, which means it’s the same components, but Glorious has chosen this combination to create a competitive board you can grab right off the shelf. Once you have the GMMK 3 PRO, you can get a good feel of how this one treats you, and sometime in the future, go full custom, but knowing exactly what you liked and what you might wish was more personal from the prebuilt. Keyboards are getting the attention they deserve and Glorious is in the forefront of the charge. This model is all pre-built, but the components and customization potential are all right here.
You can mix and match the types of keyswitches, so you can have tactiles on your WASD and linears elsewhere, etc. Serious customization is readily available in custom colors and materials for cases, different internals including damping options, keyplate options, and of course nearly limitless options for keycaps. This allows you to change how your keys sound, feel, and look. You can not use HE switches on this board, though. I tried. If you would like to use Hall Effect (magnetic/adjustable actuation) switches, you’ll need one of the models with “HE” in the name. Those models will take the newer HE switches as well as the mechanical type the GMMK 3 PRO and most other boards can use.
Opening the box, the lid exhorts you to first “Ascend”, then to “Stay Glorious”. No instructions were included for these two functions which I must admit I am not familiar with, so I’m afraid I can’t comment on those.
When you take this keyboard out of the box, you can tell just by feeling the weight and materials, this a serious piece of hardware. It feels special, like it should.
Setup in a physical sense was a breeze, you plug the included cable into the keyboard, then plug it into your computer. Like any other keyboard. There are a couple of toggles on the back flanking the USB-C port on both sides. While poorly marked, they are explained in the online documentation as a Windows/Mac switch on one side of the USB port, while the other side has a three-position slider to allow you to switch profiles saved on the board without messing around with software. I have yet to encounter another modern keyboard with a feature like this, nice.
The software: Glorious CORE 2.1 is functional and appears to work at each task I’ve used it for. According to someone I know with a Glorious keyboard, this is a major milestone in the Glorious CORE software, so kudos there. I am an end user who got a really nice keyboard with ugly, unintuitive software. It has less charm and perhaps a less intuitive user interface than industrial motor control software I’ve used. It works, it’s ugly throwaway cross platform drivel, basically feels like a pretty Java app, a real let down.
The LEDs are dim through the keys, even at 100%, this lighting is dim, If you like to see more light, grab a set of pudding keycaps or perhaps some with larger lettering so more light shines through.
The included cable is a generic nylon jacketed zig zag you’d get in any mediocre accessory, it’s not pleasant in any way, so I consider it an unnecessary compromise that makes the out of box experience worse. It’s disappointing.
When I first started using the board, I felt like I was reaching up to the keys without a wrist rest even though the actual height of the keys themselves is (as far as I can tell) identical to my previous keyboard. The sides flash when you have caps lock on, which is pretty cool until you notice there is no light change on the Caps key itself…. If you have big hands and are going to be doing a lot of typing, this may not be your best solution, it feels slightly cramped. I can only measure a ~5mm difference in width from my main keyboard, but I guess that matters.
This keyboard sits right where I put it on the desk while I’m gaming. I don’t have to pull it back to my left hand while I’m in the middle of a match, much better than my last few boards. It even stays put on my slick desk mat thanks to the grippy feet and hefty mass.
The action and consistency of the “Fox” (red linear) switches is excellent, precise and solid. I immediately noticed a difference in FPS games, the precision in the board translates to the screen and you can feel the difference. Thanks to the incredible damping, the racket of my gaming has fallen drastically, which is nothing but good. I’m still terrible, but at least I’m quiet about it.
I think I qualify as a “gamer”, perhaps not in skill, but surely in hours logged… and as a gamer, I often like to listen to my music or podcasts while I’m gaming. I like having a play/pause button, volume control, and quick mute at the ready. I don’t think this makes me unique. I like the rotary volume knob (metal and grippy, so nice!), and I like that clicking the knob mutes my audio by default. I did not know the little badge bar next to the knob is just a logo plate with a light on it even though it looks like a button. So, the play/pause key is (without changing keybinds) Fn-F7. Two key combo to play/pause. The way I figured this out required a flashlight. The secondary F-key functions are marked with faint paint on the vertical front faces of the keycaps. keys that are invisible without direct light shining on the board. Of course, you can memorize these locations, but this is a compromise that was unnecessary and is a glaring omission in my opinion. Looking at the bottom of the keycaps shows the translucent plastic that carries light is continuous underneath, so it was a choice to not have the secondary functions shine through. There are also secondary functions for lighting, for which some of the silk-screened icons are intuitive and others are just mysterious. Which is why----
My biggest issue with this board is the keycaps. I would even call them a disappointment. I understand it’s all about customization, and many of us are going to eventually get custom keycaps to suit our preferences, but these sure seem to be made to make you WANT to get some other set. The Enter key doesn’t say Enter or Return or even the down and right arrow, nope, it says “ASCEND”. Tacky. Cynical. Ew. I don’t ever want to be marketed to by my enter key. Ever. It’s a keyboard, not a lifestyle. This would be a non-issue if they gave me a standard return key in the box… The markings on the keys are non-standard to the point of being odd, instead of the 100 year old convention of putting the key markings one above the other (indicating a “shift”), they have the markings crammed together horizontally, not so great for hunting down that one punctuation key you never remember the location of. The keys have no lighting for secondary F-key functions, either direct from shine-through, or indirect from light coming up from under. So, gaming in the dark, you better have those Fn binds memorized, cuz you’re not finding them by looking. Nothing like trying to blindly hit Fn-F7 to pause my music to run to the bathroom to find I accidentally hit F8, which should have just paused, but stopped the music, so I get to Alt-Tab and mess with my music program rather than hitting play and going back to my game. This could have been avoided easily by making the not-a-button logo plate next to the volume knob a button. Play/pause, click twice for skip, etc. Other TKL boards I have looked at managed to keep this functionality even with the small footprint, so no excuse there.
To me, this keyboard is gaming first. I think this would be a great keyboard for someone who plays primarily shooters and is most concerned with switch performance/feel and likes to tinker. If you’re looking to get a super-premium daily driver to happily use as-is out of the box, you can get more check-boxes for less, but in many cases you lose the complete customization options. For desktop work there are just too few keys, or it winds up being an exercise in figuring out what compromises I want to make with rebinds, since there are simply not enough keys here to keep me working smoothly. When used for gaming, the customization and compact size make it better than a lot of the mainstream boards and setting up rebinds and profiles can really improve your gameplay.
The best part of using the GMMK 3 Pro is after you’ve spent plenty of time setting it up exactly the way you like, making use of layers, profiles and lighting, this keyboard will probably make you a better gamer, and once it’s completely set up to your preferences, it sure does feel like home. In general, this is a very quiet, crazy responsive keyboard. It feels smooth and precise in action. The cable and keycaps are both compromises in my opinion, but not showstoppers. With a little bit of customization, this is easily the best gaming board I’ve used.

I didn't know I could fall in love with a keyboard

TL:DR - Buy it! It's amazing, I love the premium feel, the typing experience, the clickiness, the customization, and the software is super easy and clean. Not cluttered with ads, and all that junk. The knob is customizable though I left it on media controls. It's perfect! I love it!
-----
The first thing I noticed was the weight of the keyboard. It's not light! And I don't mean that in a bad way, it feels quality and doesn't slide around on slick surfaces. The weight and heft of the keyboard keeps it in place and you know it has premium quality parts. Speaking of the parts, it's very easy to remove the key caps and switches. I fully plan on taking advantage of getting new caps to match my style.
The caps themselves are standard, nothing too special there, however one thing that was weird for me was the "Enter" and "Caps Lock" key. They don't say, "Enter" or "Caps Lock". They say "Ascend" and the caps lock is a down arrow. I think that's odd, but it's far from a deal breaker. I'm not sure if there's some sort of inside knowledge there for the brand, but looking at their website, it seems pretty common.
The LED on the top right corner next to the volume knob, I wish it was raised a little, and was a button! It's kind of a wasted light there, but I wish it was a customizable button that I could use for anything. That said, you can basically reprogram anything else to do anything. Still it'd be nice to have an extra button for something and I'm no engineer, but it seems doable.
There's also a bunch of secondary actions that can be done using the FN key and something else. I wish those were a little more obvious, like the arrow keys. I had no idea what they did (eventually did), but it wasn't as obvious as I had wished.
The typing is so good! The sound is nice and quiet, but clicky and feels good! I love typing on this thing. I'm currently taking Python classes and I feel like I can type code for hours! I can't get over how good the typing feels for a gaming keyboard.
I adjusted the polling rates and tested some games and it's great. I don't have any issues with it. Playing COD, and XDefiant, I don't feel disadvantaged in any way!
I also write documentation for work and it's great, since I do take a lot of screenshots, it's kind of a bummer there's no dedicated print screen button on this size, but again it's far from a deal breaker. I also use a MacBook Pro and I love the fact it comes with macOS keys caps! It comes with everything in the box which is super nice but super unnecessary, everyone should have a screwdriver at this point, but they include one which I think is great! You have everything you need to customize, service, clean, maintain, etc. this keyboard in the box!
I'm convinced and I wouldn't go anywhere else!

This Is The Keyboard You're Looking For

This is quite possibly the most sturdy 75% keyboard I've ever had the pleasure of laying my hands on. I know a few people who simply swear by the Glorous brand. It's mainly those who build thier own systems and what that coup de grâce of the alpha keyboard. This thing comes in at a hefty 3.139 lbs. and it is to respecte as it commands the desk. With RGBs that make any gaming PC scream "ELITE STATUS" I prefer to leave this staionary, as it doesn't give off away team equipment to me. Now, that could be just me, but I'd rather leave this Glorious behemoth at home on my desk-top gaming rig. As I stated earlier. The GMMK 3 Pro is over 3 lbs and that's because of the aluminum build, from the Top case, Switch plate, & down to the Bottom case. The keys are really quiet for a mechanical keyboard. There are sound dampening foam and O-rings and aa Moduar Gasket System. I'm stunned at how quiet this thing is. And then there are the switches, Duke! The switches! There's a programmable know in the upper right corner for lighting, volume & more. There are special Key caps for MAC users and tools to safely replace them. This thing is a monster. With the right mouse, this could do some serious damage at the hands of the right gamer. And lastly, but definitely not least. The braided detectable USB power cable. It looks great and just feels safe. Of course, to access the many lighting effects, you'll need to install the Glorious CORE HUB, but what RGB accessory doesn't have a HUB? Honestly, the only problem I have with this is also a positive. And that is the weight. This isn't a cheap keyboard, but something this awesome and effective should cost a lil change. It's definitely worth the cash. You've read this far. Go ahead and and find yourself a nice mouse and head over to CHECKOUT. I love this keyboard.

This is one of those products that you root for to succeed. Glorious came to the market with a much improved, 75% format keyboard, with hot swappable keys. Presenting the GMMK 3 Pro.. First impressions upon unboxing this keyboard, I go straight to how solid the build quality is. It feels "premium" with its full aluminum body. The included Glorious Fox switches have the right amount of feel and travel for what I would consider for an enthusiast level gaming session. They give enough resistance for quicker keystrokes without making you wonder if you hit the key or not. They press down very smoothly thanks to its lubricated parts and each key press is tight and snappy. Of course with the keys being hot swappable, you have many options to get the appropriate tactile feedback you are looking for and customize till your heart is content with your favorite key caps of your choosing. This goes back to their branding being labeled as "World's most customizable gaming keyboards". Not only that, but they go as far as allowing for customizing the keyboard flex by having a modular gasket system.
Pros:
-Windows & Mac compatability with the flip of a switch and it even includes macOS keycaps.
-Solid array of RGB lighting shines well enough under the doubleshot keycaps.
-Included switches are a solid option for gamers.
-Glorious Core software is easy enough to navigate through for customizing your keyboard profiles, selecting polling rate, input latency, lighting options, and key binding features.
Cons:
-The RGB accent badge came apart in two pieces for me.
-My wish is that they offer a full-size keyboard soon.
