Customers often highlight the GMMK 3 PRO's exceptional build quality, extensive customization options, and impressive battery life. The smooth, responsive key feel and rapid actuation are also frequently praised. However, some users have noted issues with the software's stability, and the keyboard's high price point is a common concern. Highly Customizable Premium Gaming Keyboard

The GMMK 3 Pro HE Wireless is a high-end premium keyboard for gamers. Other than the keycaps and switches themselves there is no plastic. On the back of the keyboard are the USB-C port and two switches, one to toggle from Off/Bluetooth/2.4Ghz wireless and another that allows you to switch between PC and Mac layouts.
The first thing you will notice is how heavy it is. Despite the box listing a weight of 3.36 pounds, I got right at four pounds on my own scale. The weight comes from two slabs of thick CNC machined aluminum plus an aluminum switch plate. It won’t move around once it’s on your desk. On the other hand, it’s hard to move as the weight and slick metal does not provide any grip at all to grab and adjust it.
The RGB are some of the brightest I’ve seen and are easily visible through the included white PBT doubleshot keycaps and through strips on either side of the keyboard. However, the battery will take a significant hit at full brightness. You can control the brightness and the lighting effects through special function keys or through software.
The GMMK 3 Pro is highly customizable. Inside the box you will find a screwdriver, some extra dampening gaskets, o-rings, and even extra screws if you happen to lose the originals. Also included are pairs of Command and Option keycaps for Mac users. Every keycap and switch can be removed or replaced. This model comes with Glorious Fox HE switches, which are smooth linear switches that can take advantage of the benefits of Hall Effect technology. Glorious is kind enough to not only include an extra switch but four other HE samples for you to try out: Raptor (Clicky), Lynx (another Linear), and Panda (Tactile).
If you’d like you can replace all the switches with some you already own, or you can buy a new pack from Glorious. This is way cheaper than buying a new keyboard deck. However, not something you’d want to switch out often. Even with the included tools removing a keycap and switch and putting a new one in place is a tedious task that will take some time. I also found it easier to dissemble the keyboard to change the switches.
As a gaming keyboard, its performance does not disappoint, it’s just as good as wired in my opinion. I didn’t experience any delays or any issue while gaming like you might with a Bluetooth connection. The linear Fox HE switches are great. The software that you need to install is called Glorious Core and it allows for advanced customization such as Custom Actuation, Rapid Trigger, and 4:1 Dynamic Keystroke. These features are exclusive to Hall Effect switches, which are magnetic and allow the keyboard to determine the precise position of each key.
My favorite is setting a custom actuation point anywhere from 0.1 to 4.0mm (if you remove all deadzone, another thing that can be customized). This can be set globally or even per key, so you can really dial it in to your particular game needs. The version of Glorious Core I was using was beta software and I did notice a few quirks such as the Layers feature not being functional and that the reported battery level was always 100%. Hopefully, these are resolved when the software is released.
Pros:
- Solid Premium Build
- 2.4Ghz Wireless, Bluetooth, or Wired Connectivity
- Excellent RGB Lighting
- Highly Customizable
- Includes Hall Effect Switches
- User-replaceable Keycaps/Switches
- Mac/Windows Keys Included
- 2-year warranty
Cons:
- Heavy
Overall – an incredible gaming keyboard that offers a lot of customization for advanced users including hot-swappable switches and per-key tuning via software.

AMAZING KEYBOARD!

Amazing. Stunning. Magical! I LOVE this keyboard!
What makes the GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% Wireless Hall-Effect Linear Switch so amazing? Well, for you hardcore gamers, I am sure you are familiar with what "Hall-effect on a keyboard, but for the laymen, traditional mechanical keyboards use switches that have physical contacts that close when a key is pressed. This can provide tactile feedback that is like double-clicking or ghosting.
Hall effect switches use a small magnet embedded in the keycap and a sensor beneath the key. When the key is pressed, the magnet moves closer to the sensor, which generates a voltage. This voltage can be accurately measured to determine the position of the key.
The advantages of Hall effect on a keyboard are faster response time, reduced ghosting, much increased durability and perhaps the most unique advantage, you can customize the actuation point of each key to meet your preferences.
As for set-up, I downloaded the app and plugged in the USB dongle and I was able to connect and start customizing right away. What can you customize?
*Actuation
*Your prefered "Rapid Trigger"
*Dynamik Kestroke-This allows ample customization for different actions for different keys
*Mod Tap, for customization of keys to have different actions depending on how key is tapped
*Custom lighting programming too rich to list
Another interesting option is that you can remove, relocate and reprogram keys. If you wanted to (for whatever reason) swap your H and 1 keys, you can. The box contains the tools to physically do so and SW cantains the programming.
Additionally, if a switch (being what the key sits on) goes bad, you can easily replace it. As such, this unit coud easily last a lifetime.
As mentioned earlier, you can connect this via USB OR Bluetooth. Since I recieved this before support documents were published, I was able to contact Glorious Gaming tech support because I wanted to save a USB slot but could not figure out how to get it in BT pairing mode. Pro-tip: Depressing FN + ‘ will place keyboard in pairing mode.
End of the day, this truly an amazing keyboard that will transcend your typing and keboard experience beyon gaming, and as a gaming board, impossible to beat. I have, and would, reccomend to a friend.

Overview
=================================
Glorious is pretty well-known for making high-quality barebone or complete mechanical keyboard kits but this is a first, even for them! This new Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE 75% has Hall-Effect switches (hence the "HE") to allow for maximum customization. Hall-Effect sensors have become popular lately in joysticks since they don't succumb to "drift" which can happen with standard joystick sensors that are used often. To summarize, a Hall-Effect sensor can determine the proximity of a magnet and then generate a voltage that can be measured and used for determining direction. Because there are no moving parts in the Hall-Effect sensor (unlike traditional potentiometer-based sensors), they are much less prone to drift over time. If you've ever suffered "JoyCon drift" or drift in your gaming console's controllers, you know what I'm talking about.
Let's see how they stack up in a keyboard where "normal" mechanical switches can still have a long lifespan. What's the benefit of Hall-Effect sensors in a mechanical keyboard?
Initial Setup
=================================
Outside of the substantial heft of this Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE, it is just a very nice mechanical keyboard with a nice case. It's a 75% TKL (TenKeyLess) design that's my favorite size overall. I have a GMMK 96% which is nice, but since I prefer to have my mouse closer to the keyboard, I prefer 75% or similar TKL sizes.
As you'd expect, it lights up right away once plugged in, but since this is brand-new and technically pre-release at this point, drivers are not available. As mentioned I already have a GMMK keyboard and to customize it, you'll want the Glorious CORE software installed. In this case, I needed to remove the current build since it won't support this new keyboard and the customization for the Hall-Effect sensors. Glorious provided a custom version that should be available as soon as this keyboard goes live.
Once the new version was installed, it was time to go to work! I left the lighting as default for now, but as you can imagine, there are tons of options from pre-configured patterns to fully-customizing your own layout.
Let's focus on the new features specific to these special sensors and switches!
First off, Custom Actuation: This allows you to set exactly how far you need to press the key down to make it activate. This actuation point can be a super short (0.1mm) "hair trigger" or deeper (4.0mm) to avoid sending an inadvertent keystroke. You can simply drag the slider anywhere in between to get your specific key (or globally over the entire keyboard) feeling just right. This would be useful in situations where "R" (for reload) could be set as an ultra-sensitive stroke - like barely brushing the key, but keep something less critical, like "Inventory" as something very deliberate so you don't accidentally hit it when you don't need it.
Building on top of that is Rapid Trigger: This adds even more customization to Custom Actuation by allowing for a super-short actuation point and additional press and release parameters that you can set individually. You may have heard of this feature that only a Hall-Effect sensor can enable. Why? Because in a traditional mechanical switch, there's a fixed actuation point where the key is either depressed (activated) or released (reset). So you must go down past that actuation point on the way to trigger it, then release it past that point again to reset it. What Rapid Trigger allows you to do is fully take advantage of the Hall-Effect sensor and immediately change from activated to reset instantly as you're beginning to release the key. Again, you can set this globally or per-key. The difference can be felt in fast twitch games like shooters, fighting games, and rhythm/dance games. Note, this is not the same as some controversial features that have been discussed lately that are resulting in some players being banned from using certain keyboards in competitive online gaming.
The next new feature is "4:1 Dynamic Keystroke" which is definitely a unique feature for these new switches. Imagine setting 4 different actions on one key: 2 on the way down, and 2 on the way up, with customizable actuation points for them! What this means is you could press a single key and, on the way down, have two actions trigger (swap weapon, reload) then on the way back up, 2 more actions could trigger (swap to another weapon and reload that one). But wait, there's more! You can even set the actions to fire off once or be continuous while the key is depressed to your actuation points. At this point I can't even imagine all the possible uses for this!
Next up is "Mod Tap" that lets you set two actions to a key depending on whether it's quickly tapped or held down. If you like to play with very closely grouped keybinds and find yourself running out of space, this could be great. For example, I love the Q and E keys because they're so perfect for quickly hitting them during WASD-based games. I just wish they could do more... well now they can! Outside of combat, you can use them for other things thanks to Mod Key. Now I can keep just a small cluster of keys in-use but still have all the functionality I need.
"Toggle Key" is just what it sounds like. Set a key so that when you press it, it's "on" but press it again to turn it off. This can eliminate hand or finger fatigue depending on your configuration. A simple example (mostly customizable in-game, but still) could be the "crouch" action. This could be bound to a toggle so you don't have to try and awkwardly hold down crouch while WASD-ing around.
OK well enough of that... time to do some "research"!
Performance
=================================
I love games and gaming, but I just don't get enough time to play, so when I do get a chance, I'm usually just working through my backlog instead of playing the latest and greatest, but I think that I'll have some relatable examples here:
Fortnite - OK so this is pretty current though I've been playing it since it was new. As a fast-paced shooter with building mechanics, fast keyboard actuation is key. It's not just about WASD and your mouse, there are a lot of other keybinds you'll need to be successful, like build and edit. I found strafing-style movement to be much better and more like the "digital" experience of instant direction changes in older console controlled games.
The Ascent - This fun looter/shooter set in an imaginative cyberpunk world is fun played with controller, but I'll often play with mouse/keyboard as well when I'm at the desk. Sometimes in the heat of battle and with quick weapon swapping it can be tough to remember if you've reloaded both of your selections. Using 4:1 Dynamic Keystroke lets me swap weapons and reload (on the way down and again on the way up) with one keypress, ensuring I'm always ready for the next group. Sure, that's pretty trivial but it has helped me always stay topped off.
The Outer Worlds - I love the setting of this game but it has more keybinds than I'd like and since I only return to it once in awhile, it can take awhile to remember where everything is. Now with Mod Tap and 4:1 Dynamic Keystroke, I can combine a lot of actions (yes, it did take me a long time to set this up) into a small cluster of keys surrounding WASD.
Other miscellaneous games included: Control, Cyberpunk 2077, The Witcher III, Horizon Zero Dawn, Divine Divinity Original Sin II - all benefited from the new Hall-Effect options in this GMMK 3 PRO HE. Make no mistake, it took some time to set up, test, tweak, and refine, but overall I saw some improvements in combining a lot of the features into a smaller group of keys, not to mention Rapid Trigger which really tightened up strafing responsiveness.
Let's not forget that all of this functionality can be really useful for productivity applications as well! I use a lot of Clip Studio for drawing, DaVinci Resolve for video editing, Photoshop for image manipulation, and more. Each one of these have a ton of keyboard shortcuts that can be now combined and condensed to streamline your workflows.
My favorite use of the rotary encoder (knob) is volume up/down and mute so no need to change anything there.
Conclusion
=================================
Glorious has hit it out of the park again with this high-quality, Hall-Effect enabled GMMK 3 PRO HE. As you'd expect, it's weighty, RGB-customizable, and will definitely not hold your gaming back at all. If you can take the time to dig in and customize the settings for your specific game-playing style, I think you're really in for a treat. It may take some time to wrap your head around the tons of customization options and then test them, but now you're no longer limited to single, fixed actuation points. The only limit now is your imagination since these new Hall-Effect sensor/switches can do anything you want from 0.1mm to 4mm and anywhere in-between.
I have heard of some competitive advantages in some of the new keyboards out there, but didn't think they would really make a huge difference in the real world. Well, I'm glad to be wrong since this new GMMK 3 PRO HE from Glorious really shows you a ton of new features and possibilities that creative and competitive gamers can take advantage of.

The best keyboard I've ever used

As with everyone I've used a lot of keyboards, and even a number of gaming keyboards. That said, I've never used one like this. To give a comparison it's like music for your fingers, the tactile feel, the reactiveness, the sensitivity, every aspect is precise and comfortable and works exactly the way it should.
Packaging
The packaging is straightforward, even a little bit extra. Included are some extra switches, a few extra key caps, the cable and a wireless USB receiver. The extras are tucked in precise little boxes inside the edge of the keyboard box and well divided, easily accessible.
Connectivity
It can use either a wireless USB dongle, Bluetooth or a wired USB connection. I prefer the USB connection but these days the high speed wireless dongle is nearly as good. I know Bluetooth is there for compatibility but i wouldn't use it for any serious gaming.
Use
I don't know what to say really. It's like seeing for the first time, but with your fingers. The pressure is precise and comfortable, not to much, not too little. The sound is good, mechanical but not clicky. The colors are vibrant and adjustable. The actuation distance is adjustable, everything about this keyboard screams premium. The keyboard itself weighs a ton. Every part of it is well engineered. In games it is responsive, playing an MMO like WOW or an FPS like COD nets you the perfect version of that game from the keyboard. The limitation here is no longer your hardware but really can only be your own skill. The application to make adjustments is easy to use and straightforward. I have no issues with anything at this point.
Overall
It's easily the best gaming keyboard I've ever used and at this price point it should be. They sell all the parts of this keyboard separately so if you need to make adjustments or make it truly your own, you can. I greatly recommend it

The KMMK 3 PRO HE 75% is a beast of a keyboard, it has a surprising amount of heft to it for its size and the materials/build are excellent. However the software needs some work. While I was able to get the CORE software up and running alright to initially set up the keyboard, there were times when CORE would absolutely refuse to detect the keyboard unless I restarted my PC. Thankfully, the keyboard has built-in memory which saved my lighting preferences. Overall, I'd say this is a great keyboard and if you don't tinker with the software too often, it's a good buy.

The Glorious GMMK 3 PRO HE 75% is a top-of-the-line hall effect keyboard with all the features one needs. It is sturdy, weighing 3.36 lbs, and offers the best build quality, good sounds, and a sleek look. Its hot-swappable switches allow you to customize your keyboard to sound however you want. This and the RGB customization inside the Glorious Core application can be used to change the keyboard to your preferences. Inside the Glorious Core application is also where you will find the actuation settings; through Hall Effect you can choose exactly how far you need to press for your click to activate. This is perfect for competitive games where every second counts; it also allows for a smooth feel, increasing your immersion. It also comes with the option of rapid trigger. Rapid trigger will enable you to choose when your keys reset, allowing you more freedom with how your clicks feel. Its volume dial is handy for quickly changing the volume. To conclude, this is an excellent keyboard and a top of the line.

Genuinely Impressed

Oh boy, where do I start? I'll say, first off, I have used many mechanical keyboards in the past, including one from Glorious. They make solid hardware, but this thing is in an ENTIRELY different league. The first thing you notice is how heavy it is. It feels like a literal block of solid aluminum, which for a keyboard, is a great thing. Built like a tank is an entirely appropriate way to describe this thing.
You may have heard of a "hall effect" keyboard, which is what this keyboard is. Basically, you can use any key/keystroke to have different effects depending on how far you press the button. Things like carefully moving side to side in a FPS. The way a normal keyboard works is you press the key and at it's actuation point, the key switch sends an ON or OFF command. There is no middle ground, it's on or it's off. If you are wanting to, for example, move to the left very slow, then a little faster, then slow back down, you cannot do this with a standard switch. It's going to be 100% or 0%, due to the binary nature of a normal switch. If you want to move slowly, say at 30% speed, you gently press the key about a 3rd of the way down, the switch sends a partial signal, based on the relative position of the magnet inside the switch. You can go from 0% to 100% by pressing they key, technically with 100 points of "press distance". In practice, it actually makes a lot of sense, especially if you game or want the ability to register partial keypresses.
The model I have came with the Glorious "Fox HE" switch, which is equivalent to a red switch (linear and quiet). When not gaming, I do a ton of typing for my job, and this keyboard has been fantastic for high WPM typing. For gaming, you are going to love it since it adds a new way of controlling your keypress distance. There is also a feature called "rapid trigger" which allows you to dynamically actuate or reset your key based on when you press or release the key. In other words, when you enable this mode (can be all or per key) you gain even more ability to assign an action to a typical keypress that's not just on or off as you press it.
If you don't care about the hall switches, or only want some keys to have this functionality, you can swap the switch(es) with traditional mechanical or mix and match optical and mechanical.
All of the other features you'd expect are there too, including RGB backlighting and volume/mute rotary knob. It's also bluetooth, 2.4Ghz dongle, or wired and supports MAC and PC. It has 3 profiles, where you can set your desired polling rate and lighting effect.
Even if you aren't a heavy gamer you should strongly consider this keyboard. I'm definitely not a very heavy gamer, but if you happen to play competitively, it will give you an extra edge for sure. On a side-note, I'm impressed with the build quality and completeness that this keyboard has. You can tell the years of experience Glorious has put into this board, and it's a mass-production board on top of that. Well done, Glorious.

This board is decent over all. The weight to it is much nicer than I thought it’d be. Smooth and slightly heavier switch feel when typing for my preference. The core program is decent due to its simplicity and isn’t overly complicated. Stabs have a slight rattle to them. Tape and lube mods could be clutch there to fix that. Overall no serious complaints far. Hoping for no double clicks in the future since that issue seems to plague certain newer keyboards.

So this is still a very good keyboard, but keypresses are not super consistent on the right side (large keys especially). Also, the software is awful. Lighting settings don't save properly when switching between profiles, neither on Mac or PC, and this is a major letdown given the price. Also, no Snap Tap equivalent at the time of this review, which is frustrating given the cost.
Overall, a decent keyboard, but needs a little work both on the hardware and software side of things.

This purchase is expensive but it has so many features packed into it that I am certain that you will overlook the price. Not only does this keyboard have Rapid Triggers but you are also capable of going to 8000 hz on this keyboard wirelessly. It does take a toll on the battery life when you go up to 8000 hz wirelessly but it is the fact that you are able to do so without having to purchase anything extra like you do with some other products. The sound of the keyboard also is something that you will love. If yo happened to now like the sound of the switches that come with the keyboard, then you can buy your own and get other ones because this keyboard is hot swappable.
