Bought this before the new movie blur ray goes on sale. Just want to have both movies in my collection. The quality is great

It is a shame they hid so much of Godzilla until the end. So much left out but overall a fun ride. Bought this so I could get the movie money for upcoming flick...

My over all impression of this film is that the director was trying to tell a human story with Godzilla and MUTOS as the backdrop. This is not a revenge story. There is a missed opportunity here to give the Human characters a visceral motivation to kill the MUTOS. However, I don't think that is what the story tellers wanted. They wanted to show nature at its most terrifying and how humans are no more than ants to her whims and fury. In this regard I think the movie works quite well. However, with that said, there are some key items I didn't like about this movie. The professor from Monarch seems to spend the movie in shock and only snaps out of his thoughts when another actor asks him a question. That bothered me. And the end of the movie "fighting against the clock" sequence didn't make a whole hell of a lot of sense. But it's Hollywood so just go with it. Over all I think we was a fun movie to watch. Not as fun as Pacific Rim but fun for a Godzilla movie. At the very least we didn't get the World Wrestling Federation version of Godzilla which took over the Godzilla franchise. When one of these monsters goes through a building you can't help but wonder what the human cost in lives the collapsing of the building charged us. That's not something I ever expected to get out of a Godzilla movie. To that end I think the human story worked. Again, I don't necessarily agree with all of the Hollywood logic and tropes in this film. Suspend your disbelief for a little while and just enjoy it.

Originally saw this in the theater. But it's been a while, so watching it all over again was just as cool. Planning on picking up King of the Monsters.

IDC if nobody else liked it. I dig this movie in a big way. So when I saw the DVD in the $5 bin I grabbed it straight away and made a B-line for the check out.

Another great outing from Gareth Edwards, PLUS outstanding cast AND top-notch FX bring Godzilla into a more modern experience. Better than it's been rated.

DVD was delivered quickly and packaged nicely. DVD had never been open. Only complaint was I could not use the digital code because code had expired.

Purchased it because I wanted to get ready for the King of the Monsters movie. Well worth the $8 I got it for.

Enjoyed watching this. Maybe the best Godzilla of the lot. Decent storyline and special effects are strong.

Loved this reboot of the classic monster. Brought a fantastic human element to the story. Loved the less is more approach as it pertains to Godzilla.

The movie remake/reboot of the classic Japanese monster franchise, Godzilla is one of those few occasions where the redo is outstanding. Great film!

What a good movie. I'm really not into the giant monster stuff but the direction for this is really moving.

The movie is pretty good, the 3D is the biggest factor here. Entertaining if you love Zilla Movoies!

This is a good film but it focuses to much on the Human side of the story and not enough on Godzilla.

Purchased this as a gift and he was thrilled when he got it. He likes Blu-ray’s because the quality is much better. The price was good too.

I realized i didn’t own this one and with the sequel coming out relatively soon i needed to watch it again

I am a huge fan of this character and can't get enough of him. I really hope that more movies are released before I kick the bucket.

Saw Godzilla 2014 in the theaters back in May and couldn't wait to get my hands on the Blu Ray! Such amazing effects and widespread monster destruction on a massive scale, this is an awesome movie! The music makes it tense and the deliberate slow uptake to show what you think is Godzilla coming but oh no, it's the Muto hatching, keeps you on the edge of your seat. The monster sounds they make takes me back to the old days with an air of contentment! And when Godzilla is finally seen halfway through, it's a showstopper. The fights and the action are incredible. The Mutos are a great creation as is the explanation as to where they and Godzilla came from. It's a fun ride from start to finish. The opening credits featuring redacted government documentation and grainy film showing dorsal fins above the water moving like a gigantic shark to the point where all the fins explode out of the water in a blast of surf and then the a-bomb detonation is a moment where I fist pumped the air! The only drawback is you just don't see enough of Godzilla! When you do, it's awesome to watch. I hope he's seen a lot more in the sequel they are planning. My last quibble is with the inclusion of the obligatory "family scenes" with the crying and vacuous wife and the blank staring and irritating kid taking up time where there could have been, oh, MONSTERS FIGHTING! Not a fan of family time! Overall, a great movie, I can't watch it enough. Nice supporting roles from Ken Watanabe as Dr. Serizawa (going back to the original movie for that name), Sally Hawkins as Vivienne Graham, his assistant, and of course Bryan Cranston as Joe Brody who like the title character, is just not seen enough!

This movie was very entertaining with plenty of action scenes and alot of special effects.
