I was shopping for a mid low range priced microwave. I thought the price point was quite on... However, when I finally got the product install, which didn't take him anytime, I was simply in awe at how really well balanced and roomy and the buttons although small are quite accessable. I have enjoyed the way it cooks, it defrosts in superb time at varied levels. It really is sensitive and a great deal of guidance in planning its energy levels was really thought out. I also believe it does a great job of evenly cooking food, defrost without cooking. And, it even has preset buttons that are simply amazing.

Packed well. Easy to hang. Has all the pieces to do the job. Does not have the quick cook features, like 1 minute button, or 1 minute add button. You have to clear the cook time and re-enter the time you want it to cook. Other than that - works fine. Basic features. Which is all you can ask for when I only paid $169.99 for it, before taxes. If I took a little longer in my search - I probably would not have settled for this. But I needed it right away.

Like many other reviews I am now seeing our microwave just quit working after 2 years. Everything works except it doesn't heat up the food. I called LG b/c in our manual it says that the Magnetron is under warranty for 8 years. Bottom line is they were rude to me. In order to get a new magnetron you have to pay for someone to come out and decide that is what is wrong with the microwave and then you have to pay for the installation of the new magnetron. It is not worth it! Just go with a microwave that doesn't break. Every other cheap microwave I have ever owned has worked for at least 10 years. I just wish I had seen these reviews before I purchased it two years ago.

While this microwave is a bargain, after 17 months, it has now broken. The cost of installing and then removing and then installing a new microwave far outweighs the initial bargain. While I was completely happy with the microwave for the past 17 months, I feel cheated that the product essentially died after such a short time. The "magnetron" died and it is not worth it to fix it after considering the repairman charges and cost for parts. Bottom line: look elsewhere.

We bought this microwave in black five years ago and it has been a faithful servant. I don't cook much in a microwave but it reheats food just like any other and defrosts perfectly. however it does have all the cooking bells and whistles. Nothing has broken or fallen off and for the price a great piece of equipment. Don't be put off by what some might think is an unknown name this little cooker is great. Like everything else before buying online go to a store and have a look at what suits you.

Stop heating after 15 months. Good news the piece that needs to be fix is under warrenty, Bad news to fix the problem it will cost as much as a new microwave. Buy anything but Goldstar!!! Every other reveiw is the same.

I recieved this for a christmas gift from my hubby in 2007, it worked for almost exactly one year and just quit heating at all. Not a recommended buy at all...I thought microwaves lasted like 10 years or so..NOT this one.

LG is supposed to be a good name, or so I'm told but I'm not impressed! This is the 2nd LG electrical device I've purchased that has had a problem upon installation. My tv wouldn't switch channels everytime, I thought it was operator error until within 2 weeks it wouldn't even turn on. i returned it to the store! I waited a month for someone to come & install the microwave & I put something in it, after 4 minutes on HIGH it's still cold! I tossed it into my old microwave for 30 seconds & it was hot! I paid $34 for that microwave!

I bought the stainless steel in Nov 08, it worked great till Jan 09. Now it doesnt heat whatsoever. Everything turns and lights up, but no heat at all, not even warm. Soo Im really upset at this thing. What a waste of money.

Owned this above the range Mircowave for 20 months now and it was stopped working. Come on! I refuse to get this thing fixed and will purchase another microwave of a different brand. The only postive is that the clock works and I can see it at night.

I recieved the biggest disappointed when i realized that i must set the timer on double time than i usually had with previous microwaves, just to heat simple food items. This unit was poorly manufactured!

Only had this microwave for a month and a half but I love it. Easy to use it's the old keep it simple.
