This thermostat is so cool. It looks great and it's -SOMEWHAT - easy to install. I followed directions, watched the video, looked up support, had a couple panic attacks (we live in a rental and are kind of doing our own thing with this improvement... But you didn't hear that from me.) Thankfully, it's really relatively simple, can be done rather quickly and if you did something wrong or are missing a wire the thermostat will tell you. I LOVE THAT! THANK YOU GOOGLE! Talk about taking 'plug n play'to the next level. And the censors... These little guys are so cool and go unnoticed if put up in the right spot but they're so smart and hard working. I just got my Nest Learning Thermostat and one of the goals was to better regulate the temperature throughout our 2 story townhome. It's one of those that it's hot in the bedroom, cold in the office, stale in the dining room, etc. I swear I noticed an instant difference within 2 to 3 hours of installing the thermostat and sensors. Not only that it made it all really easy to regulate and adjust in app via Nest, see the temps in Google Home and you can adjust the temp via Assistant (I'm sure you have a Nest Audio Speaker if you're purchasing this). I installed it pretty much right after the last billing cycle with Duke Energy and I'm hoping these tools can help with our energy costs. I suppose time will tell. However even if it stays the same, it's worth it for the control over the different zones. Plus you get a free NEST RENEW subscription which teaches you about going green, you earn leaves, I'm honestly not sure what all it does. I'm still learning the Thermostat abilities in app. And yes while I am the OFFICIAL-unofficial 'Google Guy' I say I Highly recommend the censors and the Learning Thermostat. (If for no other reason it's worth the extra $ for that hot stainless steel finish and gorgeous display!)

Couldn't really even tell this was refurbished; it looked brand new and came with all the original parts as far as I can tell. I've had this thermostat for about 9 months now and I love it, it's easy to use and I've never had any issue controlling it via the Google Home app. The thermostat itself just feels so premium and intuitive, it's a delight to use. My main complaint is that the app situation is a bit of a mess, because you have to set it up with the Nest app, which has been half-replaced with the Google Home app, so a lot of the features have made it to the Home app but not all, some are still exclusive to the Nest app. It's annoying that you need both in order to access all the features. When is that transition going to finish, Google? It's been years now. But besides that, love this thermostat and don't regret buying it refurbished.

Saved money by going with a refurbished model. Nothing was missing from the box and the thermostat looked brand new. Installation and syncying with app was easy. Highly recommend this thermostat and would consider going refurbished.

It's a great product to help you monitor your home energy expenses. It's easy to use and set up. I picked one up and love using it. Worth the purchase and looks good on the wall when you have it installed. Comes with eveything you need for easy self installation.

The nest product has worked very well. The only issues I had with the initial setup was when Geeksquad came to install and setup, the internal battery was low and would not allow for it to be set up until it charged, which took over 30 minutes, so that was inconvenience. But love how easy it is to set and view my temperature (either remotely on directly on the device). I love the modern look and it nicely replaced my previous thermostats.

Finally, I don't have to worry about maintaining the temperature or if I forgot it. This thermostat takes the guesswork out of keeping the house cool and the electricity bill low. This was easy to set up but I'd recommend a professional do it if you have the money to do so, as my ac Guy was able to utilise features I wouldn't know about. To date, I haven't had any issues with it so the being refurbished made no difference. having the plate included was a good choice as the old thermostat left a lot of unsightly space.

The best part about this thermostat is that I can change the temperature from my bed if I want to!

The Nest wifi thermostat is easy to install. Programming is simple via the Neat app.

Of the seven of them I bought two of them. And I haven't used them all yet... The batteries will not charge... Not sure what kind of refurbishing they do, But I'm not sure it's worth the hassle of just not buying a new one and not trying to save a few bucks

Best money ever spent, if you follow directions and install all the part as instructed you will be fine.

Love the Nest I have 2. Of them and they work great

This worked for about a week, but only manually. Then after about a week it stopped working all together. The thermostat measured an ambient temperature of 68 degrees but the house was much warmer than that. The AC did not work because it was set to 75. I checked my old thermostat and it registered 77 degrees which was more realistic. When I set the thermostat below 68 degrees, the AC still didn't go on. I thought I blew a fuse or there was something wrong with my AC, but when I replaced the Nest with with my old thermostat, everything works like a charm. I don't know if it is a problem with the refurbished unit that was tested properly, or if it's a problem with the thermostat. Many other users reported the same problem when I went online to try to troubleshoot, and Google had no responses or solutions. I returned it.

I have owned my 3rd Generation Nest for over a month now. It functions well but I cannot sync this “smart” thermostat to the nest app, meaning I can only control the device while I’m at home. I spent over 2 hours with customer service that ended with them saying they couldn’t figure out what the issue is. I have the most up to date software on both the nest app and the nest thermostat itself. Every time I attempt to sync it regardless if it’s with the QR code or “Smart Key” it gives me an error reading: There was a problem connecting to the nest service. Try again in a few minutes. HELP

It didn't work, don't buy it. It says the wiring is not connected properly, which is not true. As soon as I connect my previous thermostat, it works fine with the same labels than the Google's thermostat. Also, I missed the return day, which is 2 weeks from the day it's delivered

Bought it during the summer refurbished. It sat until after today when I upgraded my HVAC. Opened the box to find the baseplate had been destroyed. The baseplate houses integrated circuitry which was drilled through. My fault for not looking when the thing arrived because now it isn't returnable.
