Purchased as a gift for my dad. It was a breeze to set up. Best value for the processor and memory.

Purchased 2 of these for my kids for a long car trip. Was able to load about 20 movies on each plus music and games. They really enjoyed using them, until they cracked. I purchased cases for each of them and made sure that the kids used them...but both tablets developed cracks at the bottom of the screen within 2 weeks. I know kids were using them, but they are pretty responsible (8 & 10) and I never witnessed either of them abusing the tablets. The only other issue that I had was that I had to return 3 of the tablets before I found 2 that worked...

While looking for a new tablet, I almost bought a kindle fire. I didn't like that you could only get Amazon approved apps on the fire, so I started looking around some more. I already have a Google Nexus 4 phone and love it, so I decided to go with the Nexus 7 tablet. It has been the best product I could get. I use it for everything but making phone calls on it.

Only draw back was the charger and USB cable did not work at all. We had to use my asus memo pad charger to charge it. Other than that it's a great tablet quick and responsive screen.

This product has some problems. It won't reboot on a dead battery it takes some playing with the reboot function. The operating system works alright. But android won't support most flash features which is how most online videos are powered. I almost wish I spent the extra money for an apply iPad. But besides it not playing many videos it is a solid tablit.

Good tablet. Easy to use. Lovin it. I love my iPhone and iPad but needed a replacement for my iPad. This was small, inexpensive, very fast and lots of apps.

I PURCHASED THIS ONE AS A GIFT AFTER GETTING GREAT FEEDBACK FROM MY SON WHO HAS ONE. I HAD BOUGHT HIS FOR A BIRTHDAY GIFT LAST YEAR. THE FEATURES AND EASE OF USE ARE WHAT CONVINCED ME TO BUY ANOTHER.

Good tablet. Would recommend to persons interested in a reasonable priced tablet.

not bad wanted to see the different from native OS and Samsung OS...just more work to know the ins and outs of OS

This is my intro into tablets, so I didn't want to spend too much until I knew what I wanted. I wanted something to offer what a smart phone offers (except phone access) but without the price and commitment. I use it while traveling (most airports offer free wifi, and many hotels and cafes as well.) and found it great for: size, ease of use, and function. I would recommend it.

Great value for the price paid. Was initially hesitant, as unfamiliar with Asus products. After 3 years of daily (moderate) use, it is holding up and performing very well. Great Android system, seems comparable to my daughter's Samsung Galaxy tablet. Quite infrequently it has frozen, or shown a blank screen, but recovers within a short time, and actually the Samsung Galaxy tablet in our household has done the same thing on occasion. Love this tablet.

Love the ease of use and lightweight design. Perfect for keeping the kids busy, social networking or saving my favorite recipes!

I chose the Nexus 7 mainly for the price. It has turned out to be a decent tablet, and is fairly easy to use. The battery life is very good, close to the advertised charge time. It's pretty easy to get on the internet, using Google Chrome. Once on, it is a pleasant experience. I must confess I have not used it enough to learn all of its capabilities, yet.

Decent device, but nothing memorable. Works fine, but feels inferior to most other offerings.

This tablet is super fast and overall great especially for the price!! I highly recommend it over the Samsung!

The Nexus 7 is a great second tablet, I also have the Nexus 7 FHD (2013), I received the as a gift for Christmas. When Best-Buy had the sale on the 2012 Nexus I bought 3 of them, 2 for gifts, and one for me. With-out a doubt the FHD is awesome for watching movies, however the 1st gen is just a great little machine all around, and at the Best-Buy price of $159 you just can't beat it.

It is the best tablet I own. Easy-to-use, worth f or money. Great product
