Really amazing phone. I had a Pixel 3a before this but my screen cracked and I decided to upgrade. I love the camera and I feel like apps and such run much better on this phone, rather than the 3a, prolly because of the processor being better. I like how I got the 5g because I figure if I want to keep this phone for a few years the 5g makes it more compatible with the future.
I used to use iphones and then switched to android. I definitely like the Pixel family and I feel like this is a really awesome phone without the large pricetags for an iphone that will likely stop working well after a year.

My first Pixel XL just did not cut it anymore, and I could not afford to spend 1500.00+ on a new phone, when I saw the pixel 4a5g was just 499.00, I decided to give it a try.
It has a bigger and better screen than my first Pixel did, and it's faster.....
It charges faster as well.
Was it worth 499.00 ?
I would have to say YES!
However please keep in mind, I was coming from the first Google Pixel phone.
If you're moving up from a more recent device then you might not be happy with the 4a5g.
But if your device is around the age of the first Pixel phone then you should be happy as it's a good device for the money.

Amazing phone. Glad that there was the offer in price reduction. The phone is totally worth it. I upgraded from a pixel XL. I am one of those who uses only wired headphones, earphones so the headphone jack is a must-have. Couldn't ask for more. The 6GB RAM makes the experience so fluid, fast. Personal use - Web Browsing, apps, youtube and work apps using Microsoft work profile (M365/O365) all work great. Battery life is awesome. After 18 hours of usage I still have 40% of battery left. Gives 5G speed in areas that 5G is available. Great phon from Google !

Perfect screen size. The 5 and 4A are great small.acreens but do you want something between small screen and a bear tablet this is it.
There are some grumblings about the 60htz refresh rate but it really isn't a big deal. Sure, you will notice it if you've been running something at 120 but you're also paying half as much as those phones.
Otherwise the speed is great. The camera is fantastic. The screen is really good. There is an earphone jack.
No wireless charging or waterproofing. But, the software side and android integration have no peers.

This is simply put a great phone. It does everything I could ask out of a phone plus more. It's not loaded down with a bunch of garbage apps that can't be uninstalled from some of the other OEMs (Samsung!) And it's really quick going from one task to the next. I have been throwing a lot at it and the battery is still near full at the end of the day. Very responsive and overall one of the best phones I've ever had, including the S series from Samsung ( I took back a S21 5G prior to getting this).

For the price you really can't go wrong with the Pixel 4a 5g. It has 128gb storage standard, and a headphone jack. Bonus, right? It actually to me, feels more premium than it's predecessor the 3aXL in the hands, not as fragile. So I'm sure this can take more of a fall than the 3aXL did. Speaker sounds pretty good for a phone in this price range, and it's got 5g. Battery life is pretty good too, screen is nice too, it's not a flagship, but it's good. Over all a good experience.

I purchased this phone earlier this year. It was speedy, connected easily to bluetooth (even to devices that are on another floor of the house), and the pictures are fantastic. Having said that, after it began updating I started getting error messages. As more updates rolled in, more errors occurred. I'm pretty disappointed and even more so, because Best Buy has a limited amount of unlocked phones now. Very limited...

I recently upgraded from the pixel 2xl to the 4a 5g which is slightly smaller and weighs a little less. No glass on the back and even though this model has a plastic body it doesn't feel like plastic. I enjoy the camera on the 4a5g more than I did on the 2xl. It is a great phone for the price, if you like the Pixel line of phones then you will like this one

I purchased a Pixel 4a 5G a couple of weeks ago. This was a big transition from a Galaxy S9, and the several other Galaxy devices prior. I was pretty excited to try a new phone. I went with an unlocked version instead of my cell carrier's. I was very happy with this decision. Getting all the apps and settings over from my S9 was complicated. Not the usual Samsung Switch process, so I invested lots of time setting it up. Here is what I liked about the Pixel 4a 5G:
- The clean Android OS without all the carrier apps and Samsung apps.
- The phone ran smooth and fast enough for a non-gamer.
- The phone is light and a great size
- The back mounted fingerprint reader was awesome. It runs circles around my Galaxy devices.
-Battery life was the best I've had in a long time.
The simplicity of the 4a 5G was nice, but maybe too simple in a couple ways, which is why I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, and returned my Pixel:
- No gallery app built in. I did easily remedy this by finding a highly rated app that functioned well.
- The ring and notification volume controls are as one. This was a deal breaker for me. I could hear my ringtones, but I was missing all kinds of notifications. To hear my notifications, I had to turn up the volume too much and the ringtones were obnoxious.
- The screen was crisp but not nearly as bright as my older phones. I would have been ok with this difference.
I ended up returning the phone only because of the volume control issue. This may not be a problem for many people but there are plenty of reviews out here asking Google to fix this. I ended up with another S21 5G and I really wish the Pixel would have worked out... I feel like I am back to carrying the same old phone for 8 years now.

This cellphone is perfect for my needs. This was recommended to me and I kept hesitating because I didn't want to spend money, even though my old cell was about 3-4 years old and it stopped updating. I'm glad I finally bought it. The storage is much better. It has screen call. The camera is a lot better. It's so fast. I just love this phone.

I bought this because of the reviews of the camera. It has not disappointed me. For the price, it is an excellent phone overall. My wife got an iPhone 12 at the same time. For my purposes at least, I think the Pixel 4a 5g is a much better bargain. I'd recommend a case. Without the case, I worried it might slip from my hand when picking it up.

This is one of the best Android Phone out there. If you have more budget I would recommend going for Pixel 5 as it is only 250$ difference and often pixel phones come for a discount. Clean UI, fast 5G, excellent camera and Google Security patches as well pixel drops make this phone a best in its category and Android Phones as well.

I was a previously an owner of a Pixel 3a. After about the 30th drop within a year, the screen shattered. I bought a kit on Amazon and replaced it myself, but the adhesive was never the same, resulting in the replacement screen popping out every now and then. It was this and the limited 4gb of ram that ultimately let me to the upgrading to the Pixel 4a (5G).
I chose this model because of the faster processor and added wide-angle lens. The phone is just as you'd expect it to be. I love how Google has finally been able to create the iPhone equivalent on the Android platform. I knew I would get a great device with a great camera and everything would "just work".
I have not taken many photos with the 4a yet, however, I will say that for some reason, it just doesn't feel like Night Sight is as "poppy" sometimes lacking a little contrast and saturation that I came to expect from the 3a.
Also, coming from the smaller 3a to a 4a (5G), the screen is much larger, although the phone itself isn't far from the size of a 3a, thanks to the near non-existent bezels on the top and bottom. The larger screen is 100% more difficult to navigate with one hand, however.
All in all, I'm very happy with my choice of the Pixel 4a (5G)

Great value. Some of the negative reviews I read about the phone turned out to be false. For instance, there’s an option in settings for home and back buttons for those that prefer the iPhone user experience. The camera is very impressive too. One negative for me is the wall charger that comes with the phone - the outlet is bulky, the cord is too short and no USB connector. Again, all in all a great value.

I've been using the pixel lineup since the first one and was looking for an upgrade from my pixel 2 xl. after using it for a bit, I noticed that the screen felt way better, 128gb is definitely enough for me, and the pixel camera is yet to disappoint. great phone, especially for the price. I was about to go out to get the pixel 4A regular instead of the 5g varient but I wanted that larger display and 5G
