definitely better than a Samsung. there are a few setup issues that I don't get right now, it is fast and reliable as well as the same size as a Pixel 3xl. There are a few issues with the software. Things I don't understand. Google doesn't have a help desk that I can ask for assistance in figuring them out. I would buy this phone again given the choices that are out there. I really think it is better than buying a Samsung.

Good value phone. Have used both pixel and iphone(work) and for the money pixel 4a 5g is better. Speakers not great but I use headphones and like a plus so don't have to carry converter around. Battery is great we'll over a day. Camera still unbeaten. Have to have a good case and like the back fingerprint reader for security (I don't live where we use gloves so no big). Really like having unlocked option. Some of the new features I'd rather not have but that's the software.

This phone is ok. It's my second pixel that I upgraded from pixel 2. I really like the pixel 2 and thought this would be as nice. It's alright. I don't think the camera is as good, but idk. The night sight setting is not as good as they claim it to be. PIctures came out grainy. The pixel 2 just point and shoot and it did everything for you. It overheated FAST!! I was on a road trip and was listening to spotify on the phone and using the maps, the car did not have android auto or blue tooth hook up. Anyways, it overheated and shut off. I had to pull over and wait for the phone to cool down, then needed to have the fan on in the car the rest of the way just to keep the phone from overheating. I drove in silence after that. It's not a very big phone like the pixel 3 XL or those big giant Iphone. It fits in my cargo pocket well (i'm a nurse with cargo pockets on my scrubs), but if you put it in your jacket pocket, keep a hand on it. Might fall out. Otherwise, it's fast on wifi once a connection is there and its pretty fast with good data if you get all your bars. So, that's my review!

Great phone. I used to be a die hard Samsung fan but could not afford them at the time I needed a new phone. Got this one for much less and love it! I have been converted to a pixel user from here on out. It's also an easy switch from using a Samsung to using a pixel phone

This phone is phenomenal without breaking the bank. It has stock android, fast updates, all day battery life and one of the best cameras a smart phone can have all for $500. Truly the best buy money can get you for an exceptional smartphone. Don't go with the Pixel 5 since this has the exact same CPU, Storage and Cameras, save your money and get the 4a 5G. Trust me you won't be disappointed with it.

Cell phones. Can't be without one, but you can't seem to pocket them easily anymore. Sleek, shiny glass backs also "feel premium" but what's the point when you slap a case on them to prevent them from getting damaged? So, I say, thank you Google for making phones that are simple, yet very functional with exceptional cameras. I moved the 4a 5G from a Pixel 3a. More RAM, Storage and the Pixel 5 camera, what's not too like? 5G? Well, guess it depends on where you live, and it really wasn't a factor for me. I do happen to get a consistent 5G signal, which is nice, but I don't do a lot f things where I notice the speed difference. Build quality is nice. You know the drill with Pixels. Gorilla Glass up front, plastic on the back. Nothing fancy, and it doesn't need to be. Stock Android (mine already updated to 11) with no trash apps preinstalled. Camera? Well, it's a Pixel, so you know it's going to be good. No crazy amount of lenses that you will likely never use, just. standard and wide angle and that's enough. Unbeatable low light images. Battery life? In a word....EXCELLENT. Now, I am not what you would call a power user. I make a few calls, send txt messages, watch youtube, facebook and plenty of random google searches. I can easily charge every other day. So is this phone for you? If you want a solid phone that just works and like to take some pretty amazing pictures

Bought this a replacement for a LG , after 2 years it has performed well, great storge and battery life, still lasts about 24 hours depending on camera use, not so thrilled with the newer pixels, but I will wait until it no longer functions before venturing into review hell to sort out the next best candidate.

Battery life is great. Speed and images are very good. Camera is great except for flash photography. Very slow to focus and take picture. You can miss a lot of important shots.(example: child blowing out birthday candles) Low light is great but if their is much movement the shots are blurry.

Great battery life. Stock Android runs smoothly. Really good 5G on T-Mobile. More than fast enough of a refresh rate to stream. Picture is excellent. Camera is one of the best I have ever used on a cellphone. Good value at under $500. Only little negative is no physical back button but you get used to it.

Inserted my SIM card and the phone works flawlessly. Now the powerhouse but not significant lag either. Camera works awesome. That's to be expected with Pixel. my area doesn't have 5G yet so I can't comment on that. But the screen has good brightness and the performance is what I hoped for. Battery life has been outstanding with Google's adaptive learning for how you use your battery. No issues playing any games on it either. For the money I feel it is a much better deal than some of the flagship phones I have bought in the past.. order and pick up was a piece of cake they brought it out to my car within 10 minutes of arrival for curbside pickup.

This is an excellent replacement for my Pixel 3A XL. The cameras are great and I love the screen. For a small price difference, I prefer this model to the regular 4a. The bigger screen and stereo speakers alone convinced me. Performance is excellent and battery life is good.

So far so good. I changed from a Samsung galaxy note 9 which I loved but unfortunately it took a fall and is no longer with us. I will miss it dearly. Now on a more serious topic after using this for a few days now I must say you can definitely tell that this phone was made by the creators of android. This is definitely a stock android experience everything just feels that much smoother and at the price I got it for which is pretty much half the price of the note. Now take in consideration sometimes we say half the price and we think 100 or maybe 150 bucks....but in this case were talking about a phone that cost less then 600 bucks versus almost $1300 you pretty much can buy a decent 4k tv with the difference or many other things. So in my book it was definitely a win and has opened my eyes towards looking at more budget phones and noticing that the compromise isn't as bad as many think.

This phone is decent for $500. Pros: 5G Stock android Updates direct from Google for up to 3 years from initial release, which would be around December of 2023. Relatively compact for the ridiculous size phones that are banded about. Charger is included in the box. (It's sad that this has to be highlighted in 2021 but this is the world we live in now.) Cons: There's no Qi wireless charging for some reason. It also not water and dust resistant. I understand Google wanted to differentiate the "flagship" 5 from the "mid range" 4a 5G. Nevertheless not including those things at a $500 phone seems ridiculous to me.

Upgrading from a moto z4, I have to say I'm very impressed with this phone, especially comparing the price to higher end options. The camera isn't the best, but for me it was certainly an upgrade, I'm very impressed with the battery life and screen brightness, and it seems to be pretty fast running any aps/games I have. My only complaint is that is doesn't seem to have the long/scrolling screenshot feature some phones do, but I wouldn't consider it a deal breaker, and the screen lock button is above the volume, which makes taking screenshots one handed using them difficult. The phone is deceptively light weight due to the plastic frame and you'll probably want a case to protect it, but there are plenty available

I went from Pixel 3a XL to this. I can tell it's faster. I haven't had it slow down at all, while the 3a XL did sometimes. Battery life is better, and the selfie camera is better. Plus I am happy to have wide angle again, it is awesome for video. Now I have a bigger screen in a smaller phone. Highly recommend. The new live wallpapers included with this phone are sweet. I haven't seen anything but 5G signal so far and it works great.
