My LG TV is pretty old, probably circa 2017-2018. So i'm not able to load certain streaming apps on it. The TV still works well and i didnt want to shell out hundreds of dollars for a new one, i bought the Google Streamer to upgrade my streaming preferences. I love it. Its super easy to setup, super easy to use, and it doesnt look terrible against the decor.

Amazing 4K streamer. I’m coming from a firestick Max and I’m not going back. I was originally trying to get the Onn pro but was sold out everywhere I have no regrets tho. Performs really well and easy to use. A lot of apps available to customize your profile and screen menu. Great buy! I highly recommend! Believe the hype!

I've used the Roku, Fire Stick, and the built-in streaming features on Samsung and LG. Google is by far the best performing and most intuitive. Setup is simple. The remote is uncomplicated. Plays well with all TVs. Interesting note: I have a Sony TV with Google TV built in. I thought it was laggy and the picture quality was poor. I got the external Google Streamer and had a huge improvement.

Love the fact that Google gave the TV streamer a built-in Ethernet port and extra storage over the Google TV 4K. The extra storage makes this a very capable little gaming box for the price. The remote is little bit bigger than the older model, has a better placed volume control button and the lost remote button is absolutely amazing. I don't love the fact that it's a larger footprint and double the price of the older model but the new features very much make up for that. I've never been too impressed with the default Google TV launcher but this supports Projectivy Launcher just fine and allows me to declutter my home screen as much as I want.

Fantastic product, super easy to setup after a slightly long power up time where it does all its software updates, after that if you have a Google account everything is quick. Most apps are QR sign in now so that goes quick. The memory storage is huge, love the remote and ease of use . Very fast load times too

Extremely intuitive and easy to use. No hands free voice assistant, but the remote has it, and it has a find my remote function! Interface is fast and smooth with every streaming service you can imagine! The ethernet port is a huge plus as well! Setup is a breeze, especially since it's synced with your Google account!

Great product. Fast, smooth, apps load quickly and no connection issues. Picture is great too. Plenty of storage and RAM. I like that it has extra features like Google Home and some AI (could care less about AI). I have two of them. All in all, highly recommend!

Overall, the Google 4K streaming player is considered one of the top-tier devices available for high-definition streaming. Designed for users who favor Android-based ecosystems or prefer Google Home integration, this product offers a seamless and versatile experience. Priced at $100 less than the comparable Apple TV 4K, it delivers superior picture quality with support for HDR and Dolby Vision, a smooth 120 Hz refresh rate for fluid motion, full 4K resolution for crisp visuals, and an intuitive interface that enhances user interaction. Its powerful performance and feature set make it a compelling choice for both casual viewers and enthusiasts.

The Google TV Streamer has a quick and familiar interface and is easy to setup and use. I was having to reboot my Samsung Smart TV every day due to it's laggy interface and bloated software, I added the Google TV Streamer to my setup and everything has been working perfectly.

if you’re tired of your smart TV menus lagging every time you try to find a movie, you seriously need to check this thing out. I’ve been using the new Google TV Streamer and the speed difference is insane compared to the old dongles. Everything feels way more fluid because of the extra RAM—apps open almost instantly and there’s zero stuttering. The built-in Ethernet port is a game-changer if your Wi-Fi is spotty, making 4K streaming super smooth. Also, the "Find My Remote" button on the back of the box has already saved me a dozen times. If you want a setup that feels premium and doesn't drive you crazy with loading icons, this is definitely the one to grab.

I've had many streaming devices over the years. Roku fire stick and the old Google. This new Google streaming device is so easy to use and set up. The picture quality is amazing. The connection is long needed upgrade I've even used the find the remote feature. Would definitely recommend to anyone.

This is an awesome product. It is so much faster than my FireTv 4k Max. Plus, I do not have the hassle of limited storage and needing to offload an app. I am looking to get another one. I have a 4K Tv. I am not sure if my picture quality is improved. I will get back to you. The remote is very intuitive.

I was curious to this Google TV Streamer and how this fared against the already installed apps in my Television. I have a smart television that is already 5 years old, and it has been showing its age with dead pixels and frustratingly slow responses to the Menu button. So I wanted to see how this Google TV Streamer was, how fast and the image quality it provided. Opening the box, you see the typical minimalist Google aesthetic of a plain and off-white (porcelain) oval device. It only came with the remote control and USB-C power cord. I mistakenly took the cord as what I needed to install to the television and I noticed nothing was happening. To my embarassment, this was supposed to connect to either a power brick or USB-C power source while I provide a HDMI cable for the actual connection. Once I figured that out, I was met with the Google installation which took only minutes once I logged into my Google account. The interface is really fast and responsive. I was able to navigate to all the apps that I normally use on my television and they easily logged me in either QR codes or logging into the saved email and password combination. The whole watching experience has been an utter joy with this. The image quality is truly amazing and clear, even compared to what I was using the apps on the television. The remote navigation, home and power buttons are equally responsive. Each app that I use to watch is very clear and you are just left stunned with the 4k quality. The only draw back that I encountered is that the volume controls do not work on this so I am still using either the sound bar remote or the television one. Overall, I am. very pleased with the Google TV Streamer. I love how easy it is to use and the video quality.

    Best Chromecast Ever

I've owned every Chromecast that Google has released and this is by far their best iteration of the Chromecast line. It's more of a set top box now but still very slim, very portable, and can connect via Ethernet if needed for higher connection speeds. The biggest difference I experienced while using this new Chromecast was the speed of the software. There weren't any delays in input and I could go into the apps I downloaded quickly and start streaming right away. One cool feature of this new Chromecast is the ability to add shortcuts to the remote. I was able to add the shortcut to show me my Google Home devices such as my 3 Google cameras, my front door deadbolt lock, lighting, temperature controls, etc. I'm able to control all of that through the Chromecast which is pretty awesome. The only thing you can't do right now is talk back to someone through the doorbell camera or watch history of the cameras. If you didn't want to program that shortcut for Google Home controls you could also have it go to a favorite app that's not already listed on the controller itself or have it be a certain input on your TV in case you have another HDMI device connected to your TV. I also found it awesome that you can ask Google to locate your TV remote and it'll beep until you've found it. There's been numerous occasions where Chromecast remotes go missing for several days and I'm forced to use my phone as a controller but those days are now behind us. Overall, the clarity of the content, the smoothness of the software, and the added features of the controller make this the best Chromecast to be released.

A rocky start, but ultimately pretty solid — At first, I was let down by the Google TV Streamer 4K. It felt sluggish, occasionally froze, and I was pretty skeptical. But after a few updates, things turned around. Navigation became smoother, app loading picked up, and overall it started to feel like a dependable device that just needed some polish. Now, it’s a decently fast streamer with a great interface—definitely better than where it began.

I already loved the chromecast’s with Google tv, but this streamer is awesome. Much faster, more storage and can be hard wired and the renote finder is more than ideal especially with kids. Super solid buy and can’t wait to buy a few more. Makes a great gift too.

I got the streamer for testing to see weather the Android TV 14 is different than Android TV 12 on my Hisense TV, and to check the performance, and I can confirm that everything runs smooth and it has the clock in the upper right corner which is missing on my TV. I returned it because I have the Google Chromecast HD streaming device and my TV has built in Google TV so I don't need it right now. But I'm happy of how it works and at $75 on sale it's worth it and I can recommend it. The only downside is that the storage is only 32gb and it only supports WiFi 5 standard it should have had at least WiFi,6 if not WiFi 6E or WiFi 7.
