Although I use a tether, I like the security knowing my gopro will float if the mount fails and tether snaps. My GoPro 8 Max fits securely in the float and if it falls into the lake, I will be able to see it.

Works exactly as expected! Just remember to point the little connectors down first haha or youll have to take it right back off to connect to other accessories.

My son uses this with his GoPro while snorkeling and surfing in the ocean. It has helped save his GoPro a few times

The Floaty Protective case for GoPro Hero 8 is bulky but that's good I don't know how many times I set my GoPro down and lost track of it so the bright orange really helps with that, not to mention the foam to help protect from the normal dings it would of got.

It’s a little bulky but the color is great. A must have if you take your camera in the water.

Does indeed float! And bright color helps with spotting it on open water. Worth the buy. A bit tough to get in/out/change attachments, but prefer that it is snug. Used it as a fulltime standalone case also when on an adventure vacation.

Had this for our vacation in HI. Worked perfectly. The high visibility color made sure we didn’t lose it in the water. Had this on a GoPro shorty and it floated just fine.

Bought this case to protect GoPro while on vacation. This case is great because it floats and is incredibly durable.

Purchased this to help protect the camera, so haven't tried it in water, but assume it floats well. If you have allergies or issues with smells, just be advised that it has a strong imported plastic smell for a while when first opened.

This is the best accessory that you can have, if you shoot a lot in the water and mostly if you shoot surfing in general, because honestly I lost couple of them, just for don’t want to Pay few bugs Extra for the floaty!. This little device had been help me a lot and give a so much confidence, in my everyday shooting in the ocean!.

This is a must have accessory for your GoPro if you are going to be taking it on the water. I will say though that it is tough to get the camera attached to other accessories when this is on it as it makes the camera very bulky.

It reminds of Kenny from South Park after you put it on. Havent trying it in the field, but very certain it won't sink and lots protection
