I've have the 7 black for a few years now and a lot of reviews said "it wasn't worth the upgrade to 8", then next release said "it wasn't worth the upgrade to 9, unless you want X feature". Well, mine is getting in age now and starts to overheat and turn off after about an hour of use being on the bike in the summer heat. So I thought, "Maybe it's time for an upgrade." Watched some more reviews and saw the 12 coming out soon. The 11 is great, but reviews say if you have the 10, dont upgrade to the 11. But if you have the 11, you may want to upgrade to the 12. So I looked into the 12, and it looks like it's going to be another great product coming to the market. But i didn't want to wait because I was getting irritated with mine constantly turning off and missing cool shots during rides. So, I went ahead and got the 10 on a good sale, and boy, am I so glad I did. The difference in the quality and battery life alone was worth it. The easy of downloading files from the app has significantly improved from the what is now, in my opinion, the barbaric 7 lol. The front facing screen on the 10 is great for if I want to use it later for a second camera during track days when I inevitably get the 12. All in all, i am very excited about the 10 and look forward to the much cleaner videos to come.

I used GoPros for awhile since the 4. My last gopro, the battery swelled and bent everything inside. For continuous recording, my gopro will overheat in about 20ish minutes and shut off. I lowered the settings and it would still overheat around the same time. The camera shoots great video and the audio comes out clear. Since my last gopro 8. Now you can zoom in at 4k. Before you could not. And now you can shoot in 5k. What was a bummer is the accessories did not interchange with the 10. If I use the camera for short bursts, I have no problem with overheating. Good action camera, the video is very stable when I'm not.

Overall the camera is phenomenal. I've used it for several videos, from time-lapse to 5K. The only reason it is receiving four stars is that it did not come with a protective case and because when it does have the case on, it does get hot, in which case, then it will shut down. However, this has only happened when utilizing the fully enclosed case and mounting it to my windshield. The camera itself is great quality, easy to use, and of course, fun to use.

Everything as promised and even better. Amazing video quality and features such as the camera stabilizer and full waterproof. Camera on both sides is coolest feature. Although make sure you have the right SD card and extra batteries because it can die quickly

This camera is a capable and impressive continuation of the Go Pro product line. The Hero 11 & 12 are newer but the features of the Hero 10 such as its 5K & 4K video resolutions and other capabilities are still very relevant at a lower price. Mine is used for in-car auto racing and underwater scuba videos using the specific underwater housing. My only complaint was initial overheating when shooting at 5K for 45 minutes but that was resolved by full formatting the micro SD cards and filming for shorter intervals. The rear screen controls and Quik app menu connection/controls are a great improvement over earlier operating systems.

The GoTo is small and can fit many places to carry around with you. The pictures in general are clear and crisp. Videos are in high detail. However, after sunset the picture quality decreases immensely. Even during twilight when it is still light out somewhat. I didn't care for the fact that you can't zoom in while taking a video.

I recently purchased a Hero 10 Black to film my off-road adventures, and it has very much lived up to the hype of a middle-of-the-range action camera with a lot of features that allow a user to tailor their filming needs to the lighting of any situation. The stabilization works quite well, and gives a fantastic idea of the motion involved in an off-road adventure. I would recommend this version to someone looking to save money while still being able to shoot high quality 4k/5k video.

I had the GoPro 4, so this one is certainly an upgrade. More choices on camera angles, resolution and overall features. You don't need an external waterproof case, and it has built-in mounting tabs. The GoPro Quik App works fine for basic editing. The battery life could still be better. Overall, a great choice in this segment.

Video stability is the #1 feature that stands out to me. Wether I’m on the motocross track or in the duck blind and everywhere in between. The cameras stability is perfection. No wobbles, shakes or vibrations of any kind. The cold weather does sap the energy out of the battery’s very quickly however a hot hand rubber banded to the back fixes that issue. That’s the only downside Iv had. Everything else is perfect. For recording family movies or basically any sporting or outdoors adventures…. The go pro hero 10 is a home run. Oh did I mention the 12 came out and these are wildly affordable now? Yeah go get yourself one!

It atill amazas me that so much technology can be inside this little piece. The quality of the device is great. When I first saw all the screens I was bit concerned about the durability, but no issue there. Picture quality as good as it gets. And the ease of viewing content via bloototh is awesome (I used Ipad, no delays in viewing, very impressive). The only issue is battery life when running high res video mode. It drained in about 2-3 hours. Besides that I love this especially for the discounted price. Important: Make aure to get the high end micro SD!

Always wanted to get a GoPro and glad I waited for the 10. I bought it for a road trip I went with the girlfriend took such amazing pictures. Recording is amazing. So easy to use, only down fall is battery life may last about 20-30 min when recording a video.

I have every GoPro since they were film, then used disposable batteries and now the most recent Hero 10. They have improved and perfected every version, not simply selling the new year model with simply a number change. The camera is Incredible for it's size in capturing action at and speed, on any terrain in even sub-zero temperatures. Yes, I have recorded snowmobiling and driving in below freezing temperatures with absolutely no issues. They quality of video it captures is spectacular and the audio has drastically improved to the Hero 10 wind noise being natural but no annoying as in the pre Hero 5 versions. I highly recommend the Hero 10 as the Best Version yet! Best camera for capturing those memorable moments on the go!
