This is good camera for beginners although the video Quality isn’t the best and as it says on the box it seems to work better with an iPad Pro rather than a pc. Besides that it seems to be a very usable camera.

Bought this to do some minor YouTube fishing videos and outside the picture was amazing! Tried to use it underwater and the lens filled with water then condensation. Customer service was great tho. Going to be getting a replacement any day now.

I did not expect this device to record sooo good! Even when holding it the images are very stable.

I got this for my son went to use this on a trip and it worked for a few hours until the panel to the SD snapped off (he managed to put it back on properly but it refused to lock). Later that same day water gets into the camera less but no big deal right? The camera still worked but then the image became blurry then shutdown and refuses to turn on or even charge (no red light appears when plugged in) Honestly its just money thats down the toilet now.

Garbage. If this camera were a person you would definitely want to cut them out of your life ASAP. Basically it worked fine and then started fritzing every second requiring restart after restart after restart. This difficult creation of utter chaos will work and not work by its own whim. Invite this camera into your life at your own peril. I will continue to use it for one more day as a rock that I will throw into the ocean in a futile gesture of Rage so that I may be gone of the memory of this horrid, Horrid camera. The camera is in fact waterproof. I have not tried to get my files off of it yet with the cable provided. However the SD card that I will take from its cold dead corpse does infact capture good videos. However, the ability to tether it to an Android phone is severely limited. And paradoxically it is even worse trying to pair it to an Apple product. By the way I still love you Best Buy. <3

Not only does it have to constantly be rebooted to sync to your phone, after 4 Months the SD Card cover snapped off when I went to charge the phone. POOR quality product. GoPro use to make superior products but apparently not anymore.

I have this GoPro, a GoPro Hero 8 and a GoPro Hero 9. This GoPro seems to always have issues and I just had it replaced because the 1st one recorded whenever it wanted and was impossible to turn off. The side door of this new 1 has now broken off. Spend the extra money and get the GoPro 9! You will not be disappointed!

Good camera and impressive performance for the size. But I was looking soft something a bit more robust and something I can swap batteries in and out when needed. Going to Hawaii and I want to preserve all the memories as possible so I opted to getting the hero 9 black. But the video capabilities of the hero 7 silver were great and video was smooth at 4K. Build was top notch and the limited amount of ports/doors make it simple for use. USB-c and a micro sd card is all there is. The screen was vivid and responsive. Not to mention the connection to the phone was nice to see. See what the camera is capturing on your phone. Overall a good camera but I was looking for something with more capability

This camera is really good, it takes excellent video recordings either outdoors or indoors. Video quality looks really crisp and with less noise during indoor shots, sound recording is also very good. The only weakness I have is the battery, which doesn't last for more than 1.2 hours or sometimes less, not sure why, I have turned all wireless radios off to conserve battery power and also make the screen time on less that the average. Over excellent camera and great features.

This is an ok GoPro - I cannot give it 5 stars! It does not have a removable battery and it locks up a lot! This is just my honest experience; now the GoPro 10, that one is awesome!

I am mainly using it to record my biking adventures and the stabilizing is AMAZING. 4k looks really good too and the sound recording is impeccable. The biggest con I have to say is the poor battery it comes with. Since it's not replaceable or interchangeable, it may be a hassle if you want to record in 4k for long periods of time in a given day, for as the 4k drains the battery faster than standard HD. Another thing I gotta say is that it will power off when it overheats. Did not know that was a thing until recently. I get heating may cause damage internally but why does it heat up so easily? Should be heat resistant to a certain point in my opinion. I would recommend if you're looking to record your outdoor activities and don't mind mostly recording in standard HD.

I bought this camera because I ride bike and I wanted to record a POV and this is just what I needed, good resolution, good price, easy to use, easy to pair, good quality. Just great!

This durable and tough camera is amazing! The picture quality is great! There are no limits on all the possibilities for using this. It's easy to set up and use, and you can get all the fun extras for a little more money. Worth it!

While on the way to a Mountain biking trip, we were discussing rule #1 of doing pretty much anything (look cool doing it) and how to prove we abided to this standard. My friend who is a jet pilot (essentially Tom Cruise) told me to get a GoPro (not some knock off bs with fake image stabilization). I chose the Silver 7 due to price/feature set, and I am the opposite of disappointed. Blown away by the leaps and bounds made since the hero2 days. The best part might be the seamless video transfer to your phone via wifi that the gopro emits. Once on your phone, use the free gopro app to automatically make a pro xgames style video to "cooler than me" or your second favorite song. Get all those falls on tape, look good doing it.

excellent service solid camera for the price really good video quality easy to use for a preteen protection plan a little steep but still a must with a young user

Just recently got this as my first action camera to take on vacation and have loved it. Got great video and pictures while snorkeling, zip-lining, swimming, and jet-skiing. The video quality is great and the camera is simple to use and the control from your cell phone makes it simple when the camera is mounted in places like on your helmet. Really pleased with this purchase. The touch screen is a little “weird” when it’s wet.. it likes to change modes by itself, think it may be the water drops triggering a touch.. just was a little something to be aware of when I first started trying to use it in the water.
