I can't say much beyond the summary. I can almost watch my battery dissipate when I'm using it. But it's still worth it to make sure you get that shot you want if you're diving, etc.

This screen is great to ensure you see the picture you are taking. So easy to use and fits perfectly on the camera.

Picture quality is excellent and the touchscreen works surprisingly well. Top notch product as always from gopro.

I can't say enough how much I love the LCD touch bacpac. I get so much more use out of my GoPro Hero3, now that I have the LCD screen. In fact, I used it almost exclusively for all outdoor and beach footage during my recent Caribbean cruise. I used it constantly to frame and align shots and best of all was the ease of switching between video or photo mode or even between narrow, medium and wide angle via the touchscreen. And being able to view the photo or video to see how it came out is priceless. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was the fact I was so frustrated that I could not get the provided back doors to fit the housing that came with my GoPro. And the GoPro website was no help in clarifying why the doors wouldn't fit. I took days to realized that my Hero3 silver came with the slightly larger dive housing as opposed to the standard size housing that most Go Pros come with. I had to purchase a standard housing for $49 to get the bacpac back doors to fit properly, of course, that wasn't until after I had already purchased the standard housing back door kit for $10 as recommended by many online. Apparently you can no longer purchase a bacpac door to fit the dive housing, which would have been a simpler and cheaper solution. But still a great investment if you have a GoPro. Quick tip, pick up an extra battery or two because, the LCD screen will use up a lot of battery life.

love the touchscreen function and it helps me alot in framing when recording videos. the build quality is pretty solid and it seem gonna last long time, but let time tells. besides it drain the battery of my gopro hero 4 black faster, i have no complaint whatsoever so far. it comes with little plastic case just for the lcd screen and i 3 backdoors. if you are goin to get this, make sure you get some extra battery too!

camera is awesome it is my first gopro so i dont know if this hero 4 is better than hero 3, so far so good, at first i was able so see crazy color lines or pixels in my cellphone but that happened the first week only, i guess after an update. i would say go for it but wait till they lower the price a little bit, i paid 499 plus tax and to be honest its toooo much overpriced but who knows...

Purchased this for my dad's gopro hero 3. He really didn't like the fact that he couldn't see what we were recording. He doesn't want to attach it to a smartphone.... so this was the next best solution. AND it's exactly what we needed. It's perfect. It works. No more second guessing. Easy to use for technology-challenged parents (he installed it all by himself).

Works great but uses to much battery to run it and is a little pricey for what it is. Over all great option for the go pro.

I recently purchased a Hero 4 Black. I couldnt review the pictures until I got home and connected it to a computer. So I decided to buy the LCD Touch BacPac. I am happy about this purchase. It is easy to put on, straightforward to use and gives you the opportunity to view your pictures or watch your videos instantly.

It is a good accessory but after a few times I used it I found it is not an essential accessory. You may use the camera without it. You can see the images on the camera using your cell phone through wifi. You can control the settings of the camera without using the LCD. It also consumes part of your battery and you'll need it.

this item is a definite must especially when you're trying to frame that perfect shot. Only thing is, this bacpac screen doesn't seem as sharp as the touchscreen on the hero 4 silver. The colors don't pop as much. Also, it's sometimes annoying when navigating on touch screen because it's overly sensitive. There's a tendency to accidentally select the wrong thing. Other than that, this product is a no-brainer

Navigating the menus is so much easier with the LCD Touch BacPac and now I can compose my shots by looking at the screen before I shoot. Having the auto off feature also saves the battery life of the GoPro battery. This is a must have addition to any GoPro camera.

This makes uses a GoPro WAY easier. You can actually see what is recording! It's all touch screen and you can delete and view recorded items. Don't see too much of a difference in battery life. It also comes with a case extension so you don't have to buy one.

If you want to quickly view what you just captured, you have to get this. You can use it to change the camera settings which is a lot better than using the small screen in the front. It works with my Hero 4 Black. The only set back is that the battery life suffers.

It makes the go-pro easier to use. It allows for you to do more.

Great add on when using as standard point and click camera as you can see exactly what you are shooting. I haven't used long enough to see how bad it drains the battery as in the other reviews i read.

I was very pleased with the performance of the touch screen display. It did everything I expected. Easy to install and simple to operate. Only negative is the screen is difficult to see in direct sunlight - - so find a shady place to review video or photos.

We brought this camera for my son for Christmas. He uses it for every activities he does, including swimming, football, basketball, baseball, hunting, fishing, and basically everything. He loves it! Best camera we ever purchased for our active kids!
