The Gorilla Bow is my first time using resistance bands for any form of fitness, but as a beginner, I assure you it's nothing to be afraid of. Swapping out the bands and putting the bow together is easy and pretty straight forward. I like that I can use multiple bands (up to 4) on the bow and use as many as I need on different exercises. I like that I can take it all apart, throw it into a gym bag and take it with me wherever I go. My only real complaint is the lack of instruction that comes with the Gorilla Bow. Yes they have videos on youtube about different exercises you can do, but most of them feel really amateur being filmed in a park, backyard or what have you. But none the less I really enjoy using this thing when I cant make it out to the gym. And I would definitely recommend this to people of all ages and fitness capabilities!

The Gorilla Bow is practical and easy to get accustomed to. I was able to work out all my main muscle groups and the online workout videos help in showing how to do certain workouts with the bow. The tension cables that come with the bow are a good range and you can attach two at a time for greater tension. I specifically like that the bow can come apart and stored easily. I keep it in my living room and workout while watching TV which is a really big convenience. I have even used it while laying on my bed. Now that I know how to do all the workouts with the bow I am able to set up a routine that I can stick to and work out the muscle groups that I feel I need improvement in. The build quality is rugged in the bow itself as it is metal and the tension cables feel like they'd make you snap before they snap so they will last a long time before replacement. This bow is something anyone can get accustomed to and with just one piece of equipment you can do all your workouts.

I recently bought a Peleton and cancelled my gym membership but I still wanted to do some other workouts. This Gorilla Bow intrigued me because of it's portability and assortment of workouts from such a small, easy package. I found a bunch of workout ideas online and in minutes I was up and running. It's so easy and convenient to change the tension weights and get some squats, arms curls and shoulder presses done. As far as its portability, I suppose it would be a great hotel room workout as long as you check your baggage. Great home gym accessory that is sturdy and will last for years.

I have thoroughly enjoyed using the Gorilla Bow. I like using resistance tubes over free weights, mostly due to ease of access. The Gorilla Bow just snaps together from 3 pieces and comes with tubes ranging from 10lbs to 50lbs, tubes up to 90lbs can be purchased. 4 bands can be used at once and to a limit of 340lbs. So it can cover a larger range users. You can pretty much use it for any exercise you want and their website has workouts to get the most out of it. Overall I love this thing and it pretty much goes where i go

    Limited Functionality but Works

Overall this item works as intended. Adding the bands is fairly easy and the amount of resistance you want to add is varied. Comes with the bow, and 10 toys bands of resistance ranging from 5lbs-90lbs. There’s 8 total workouts you can do on this, I wish there was more. I’m active duty military so I’m in good shape so this doesn’t do much for me but my wife swears by it. It’s perfect for her body type and she really enjoys the workouts.

I wanted to take a couple of days to use the bow before writing my review. The package comes with the following equipment; `the bow - 3 separate pieces that combine for a sturdy unit `6 bands - resistance ranges are from 10 - 90 lbs `placard -which gives brief instructions and QR scan for add'l info `handlebar wrap `band wrap `band carry bag First, this is marketed as a travel bow, but due to the weight which I'm guessing is about 5 lbs, it would be a heavy addition to your carryon. There are three sections as I said earlier 1 straight and 2 slightly curved each aprx. 1.5' long giving an overall length of just over 4' (rough guess). Putting them together is a snap as they do literally snap together, and although I'm not sure of the metal, I'm sure it's not aluminum as it is very sturdy. The bow will hold just one or multiple bands at a time, depending on your required resistance. They are held in place by 'talons' on each end and are very secure. The workouts are great, you can find them on youtube or the Gorilla website. As with any resistance you go at the pace comfortable to your needs, strength, toning or muscle building. You should also always inspect the bands for wear/tear. I really have been enjoying (and looking forward) to my daily workouts, because of its flexibility I haven't reached a body burnout since I do core, upper and lower body on different days. This small piece of equipment is a bonus to my other workout machines and will certainly get my body back to where I want it to be.

Well built versatile with good support videos and website. If you are doing resistance band you really need quality plus must follow directions (like wearing shoes). Has nice bow grip cover and breaks into three pieces. Can fit under bed or in corner when not using.

    Cool Concept, Poor Execution

First off, if you're getting this for a true gym replacement, I don't think this is the answer. Overall, you'll find a hearty piece of exercise equipment that will go well for toning/using bodyweight style workouts, but will be disappointed in the workout videos and guides Gorilla Bow implements. First off, the idea of a "traveling gym" is a tough egg to crack, as everyone's workouts different. I wanted to try this Bow out in conjunction with my running routine. So, the idea of resistance training was perfect, as I've never been trying to bulk up; rather using the training to sculpt. Setup and unpacking are easy enough, once you get used to using the bands, but finding workout guides and videos is the tricky part. Honestly, after doing about 30 minutes of digging, I was still left trying to figure out certain basic workouts and how to safely do them (which makes sense considering the bands are really putting out force when stretched.) I found their guides on their website, but the information is basic and left me wanting more and without any deep explanations. If Gorilla Bow could figure out a better way to show you how to use this tool, I think it would work better. They provide all the band power necessary to get a deep workout if you want (and I did, on different occasions) but I just kept wishing for more exercises to try. I wouldn't recommend this until the company produces better video content or written walkthroughs with pictures (also non-existent).

    Resistance bands work the same

The main draw for this travel bow is that it is meant to take with you but as many others have already stated it is not that travel friendly. In addition a travel friendly alternative that won’t get you flagged by the TSA are simple resistance bands with handle attachments. I wanted to like this product but it is a horrible travel companion for me since it is not as compact as I would have liked. The aluminum bow is much more comfortable to use than resistance bands, but when I travel space and convenience reign supreme. With resistance bands I am able to hit most major Muscle groups. After using the product for over a month, I don’t see a major advantage to using this over simple resistance bands.

Bought this thinking it would save me time and some trips to the gym on days when I don't have time. Also thinking I could get a good legs workout in, since every time I go to the gym, someone is on the squat rack for hours. Pros: -Very Sturdy. This thing won't break easily, that's for sure. It's like a really thick crowbar. -The premise itself is good, as resistance training is recommended by trainers and physical therapists alike. -I actually liked the squat movement with this bar, as it was easy for me to execute correct form. -You will want to focus on correct form in order to get the most out of the movements. -For people who are getting back from surgery, or who are extremely out of shape, this may work for them. For people who train hard-core, this will not replace free weights, and will be challenging to find different movements/resistances that will actually benefit. Cons: -It was already scratched in a few places when I unpacked it (could have been a recycled return?). -One of the four bands in the package was red. Not sure why since the instructions did not show a red band. I should have had a navy and a black one. The black one was was missing. It was supposedly the heaviest band out of the four, so I was NOT happy. -I did the workouts and adjusted the bands, but it was just not rigorous enough for me. I already have a set of heavy bands, and this was just.... not.... better. Thinking maybe I needed some heavier resistance??? -I then googled the heavier bands, and they were like $20 e-a-c-h!! Since I have no idea what band I would need first, I would then end up spending another $80 on four bands to try to find out. After shelling out almost $300 for a piece of metal (albeit the design is cool), I was done. -For this price, the entire set of bands should have been included. -I compared this (with the black band) to squatting with my cloth mini bands and hip bands. No real difference. -Over. Returning today as soon as they open in 30 minutes.
