I had my scooter stolen over the holidays, and like many of us, it's used as my main transportation. I was already in the process of buying a dualtron limited. I had 2 weeks left, and it was mine. Unfortunately, i needed something durable, and ASAP. I knew of the brand it just wasn't what i was looking for. I wanted something very fast . So order this and pray for the best . The only issue i had was Best Buy telling me that if I purchased in 11 hours, i would get it the next day . 2 weeks later, it arrives. When i tell you, i opened the box, and it almost felt like an m1 Abrams tank was being taken out . I was blown away by the build quality. I've had scooters before and not your 18mph ones. im talking able to jump on parkways and kep up with traffic scooters. The mkst easiest assembly. Literally just put the handle bars on and done. Im a big dude 6"2 280lbs, so i was hesitant on the 30 mph. When i tell you this thing is like riding on clouds, i mean it . Now i was a little concerned because i was only getting 15 mph, but that's with a 2 bar charge just 2. Make sure everything works. After charging fully, this thing is nice . It's not like my 45 mph plus scooters , but it's made great. You can tell it's a great product, and i was able to reach 30mph once the battery was topped off . Shout out to gotrax . I really hope they decide to enter the super scooter market with 1000 watts + dual motors in the future. If you are hesitant, dont be . BUY IT !!! YOU WON'T BE DISSAPOINTED

Plenty of power and torque to keep you cruising at maximum speeds (30mph) even on inclines. Brakes squeak a little. Very well built! I’m getting around 15-17 miles per charge.

This thing is a beast and heavy!! It has powerful dual motor. I like the color instead of black. Didn't think twice for buying this and I love it. You can go up to 30 miles an hour which is good enough for me to drive this scooter. I'm hoping it will last.

The dual motor design, suspension system and high weight capacity gives this scooter a great amount of flexibility for speed, distance and ride handling. The only improvement I would suggest it to have additional options for securely unlocking the scooter functions. The built in code entry function works well but adds undue time when you want to get on the road quickly.
Construction quality is excellent and I would recommend this scooter!

I have to tell you that I did not expect what I received from Best Buy when I ordered the GoTrax Raptor. I have another scooter that was ok for fun little trips around the neighborhood and such, and I thought this was just a bit faster and with a longer range. I could not have been more wrong. This thing is an absolute beast! I genuinely feel like if I were to run into a car on this thing that I will probably be dead, but the Raptor will have probably punched through the car and kept going out the other side!
I wanted a new scooter because while my other one is nice and well built, I was never able to get it to go its top rated speed of 18 mph, nor did I get the range I really wanted. Also, it struggled up even slight hills and would almost go airborne when hitting a bump. I looked for a scooter that was more substantial and the GoTrax Raptor delivers in spades. I'm going to highlight some of the main things I like about the Raptor and just a couple of issues that I have/had but were nothing deal breaking.
Likes:
Acceleration: I was scared the first time I fired this puppy up and ran it up into my culdesac. I was not prepared for the acceleration on this thing. I was almost to the end before I got my bearings. This thing HAULS like a scalded cat.
Speed: M mode will get you 15 mph with zero problem and that was the BEST my previous scooter could manage. D mode will get you 21-22 mph, and is the top speed I'm comfortable with. S mode must stand for 'Silly', because you will be giggling up until the point that the rational part of your brain screams at you to stop because humans weren't meant to go that fast without serious protective gear on or some metal all around you. If you are going to run this thing in S mode, you NEED a helmet and probably should be dressed with solid shoed, jeans, and full sleeves. If you wipe out on this thing at 30 mph (and it will hit that on flat ground), it's gonna hurt... a lot.
Ease of Set-Up: Take the Raptor out of the massive and heavy box, attach the handlebars with the included Allen wrench (and it's a nice one), and you are good to go. Everything else is set for you, which is good because the way this thing is built, I would think I would have to go to the Abrams tank mechanic school to work on this thing.
Comfort: At first I thought the size of the Raptor was a bit much and would make it uncomfortable to ride, but the larger deck, increased mass, solid stability, and shocks for both the front and back wheels, make this thing a joy to ride, even for longer distances.
Issues:
Packaging: I'm going to blame this on the packaging but I'm not exactly sure that's what the issue is but the Raptor had a lot of scuffs on the frame straight out of the box. It sure seemed like it was well packed but somehow there were a lot of rub marks and scratches. Nothing that seems too deep but also not able to be wiped off either. It's cosmetic, but when I scooter costs this much, I'd like it to look a smidge better.
Unlock Code: Note to GoTrax team: Put the unlock code on a sticker or in the manual. I read another review on here that noted this and I was sure that they just missed it. Nope, it's not in there.
Lock Bracket: I wish the Raptor had a dedicated opening in the frame or a welded loop for a bike lock. The weight of this thing is probably the strongest deterrent from stealing it but if I am going to take this somewhere and have to park it, I want something better than running the lock cable through the wheel assemblies.
Stronger Brakes: You should not ever use your feet to stop Flintstones style on this thing because at best, you will sprain your ankle; at worst, you will fly off the scooter. The brakes as they are, are just adequate. The speed of the Raptor requires far more than adequate brakes. Give yourself plenty of time to stop. Also, this thing has a ton of inertia and not a lot of rolling resistance so you will not slow down as much as you might expect just from letting off the accelerator.
Conclusion: If you are looking for a crazy fast and solid build in a scooter, look no further than the GoTrax Raptor. She's a blast to ride and would make an excellent scooter for a commute to work or school. It would probably also be great for some adventure type riding but that's not my bag, so I really can't speak to that. The Raptor is a solid choice for anyone who wants a great scooter.

The Raptor is Built like a Tank!

The Raptor is a new, escooter by Gotrax, featuring a 28-mile range on a single charge, as well as a maximum of 30 mph speeds, disc braking systems, front, and rear suspension, and multiple riding options that make this an excellent escooter for play and commuting.
Pros:
- Easy to set up
- Built like a tank
- Smooth riding
- Comfortable
Cons:
- Powering on
- Battery (depending on the motor used)
- Brakes (out of the box)
When I received the Gotrax Raptor, I immediately charged the escooter. Out of the box, the scooter came in two pieces with the handlebars detached. The directions explained the attachment process and the handlebars were easy to attach (they included a hex tool to help assist you with the process). Additionally, the fold (at first) to put the escooter in the upright position was strange at first, but the locking mechanism (once I understood it) was simple, and easy to keep the escooter locked upright. After I set it up, the Raptor for at least the recommended 5 hours. Then, I turned on the escooter and had to set up the login (more on this later). After several attempts, I finally logged in, and I was ready to ride.
There are four important gears to remember while riding and they are P (park), M (up to 15 mph), D (up to 21 mph), and S (up to 30 mph). It’s important to know that to switch gears and to get the Raptor to go (this is not a "kick-start" to go escooter), you will need to use the Plus or Minus signs to put the Raptor into gear first, then you can use the throttle to begin your adventure. One of my favorite modes to ride on is the dual-motor mode (both motors in both wheels will active), and in gear D (up to 21 mph). On occasion, I switched to the S gear and throttled to 30 mph. I am not sure how other riders can go past the 30 mph mark, but at those speeds with the dual motors turned on (a lot of torque involved), it becomes a little too dangerous for my taste (but some riders will enjoy the freedom feeling).
Switching between gears was simple and effective. While riding, all you need to do is press the Plus or Minus signs to switch gears. While riding down sidewalks, streets, and uneven roads, I can tell the Raptor was built like a tank. Quite literally, the escooter can hold a maximum of 330 lbs. Also, the Raptor is heavy (over 90 lbs), and picking it up will be difficult for someone due to its weight and length. However, due to its size and build I felt confident navigating the streets.
Because of the built-in suspension system, especially when riding over bumps in the road, I could not feel anything, and I did not feel uncomfortable during my ride. Additionally, it was easy to navigate, and the handling/steering was simple. Due to the front and rear suspension, the Raptor is an exceptional, comfortable ride.
However, one of the most difficult tasks was turning the Raptor for the first time. In the instruction booklet (included in the box), the directions were unclear. Also, you need to know the three-digit code to unlock the Raptor. Unfortunately, the factory code was not included in the instructions. I had to go to a YouTube video to find out how to unlock any of the Gotrax model escooters. Fortunately, once I was able to get past the settings, I was able to turn on the Raptor. I would suggest to Gotrax to include better instructions and the factory code to unlock the escooter.
While turning on dual-motor mode and leaving it there during my riding, I found that the battery did drain faster (which is expected because you are using two motors inside of one and in a higher gear). I went from a full-charge, in gear D, and dual-motor mode, to one bar left in about 13 miles (not near the 28-mph max range on a full battery charge). I would keep that in mind if you are planning on longer commutes; I am fortunate that my commute time to work is less than 15 minutes a day while using the Raptor.
Lastly, the Raptor includes a rear disc braking system. Braking is especially important (at higher speeds), and while I tested stopping (especially during faster speeds), I would lean back and firmly press the dual brake handles. What I experienced is that I would stop well (there are no issues with stopping). However, the disc brakes would squeak terribly (a loud shriek). While I know how to adjust the brakes (I have been on bikes for years), Gotrax recommends not adjusting them yourself because it will void the warranty. I will need to contact Gotrax and inquire about a braking tune-up.
I want to mention that while I did not ride at night, the Raptor does include a bright LED headlight, a rear tail light (braking light), and blue LED deck lighting (that will light the road underneath). I tested riding one time at night and found that the LED light was not bright enough to illuminate the path in front of me. Although not a deal breaker (it should not be for anyone interested in the Raptor), I suggest picking up an additional LED light you can attach to your handlebars for better vision at night.
Overall, the Gotrax Raptor is a smooth, comfortable ride, all thanks to the dual suspension and rear disc braking system. The Raptor is built like a tank, and the implied name, Raptor, was a smart choice for the name of the escooter. The Raptor can handle riders up to 330lbs and hit a top speed of 30mph. Not only was the raptor designed for everyday use but also for play as well.

I own a couple electric scooters. I enjoy taking my daughter out with me and cruising around the neighborhood during the day or evenings. I think it's a great way to to have an adventure that we both enjoy. But honestly, sometimes I just wanna ride on my own and go fast. So I was super intrigued when I saw the GoTrax - Raptor. The specs looked great and it felt like something that I could enjoy on my own. Here are my impressions after a few days of usage.
First, this scooter is incredibly solid and big. It feels like an adult scooter. The vertical handle bar doesn't feel flimsy like some other electric scooters that I've rode before. I don't know the exact weight of the scooter but I wouldn't consider it to be something that anyone can pick up. The tires are decently thick giving the scooter a good sense of stability. I also like that the foot board was wide. I can put both of my feet side by side if I wanted and still have room. It has a nice bright LED screen. If I did have one complaint, it was the instructions that came with the scooter. They are not the clearest. I could not find where the password to actually turn on the scooter was (turns out it's 000).
The riding was so much fun. The shocks on the scooter allowed me to eat up bumps on the road with ease and never lose stability. The Raptor has a good amount of torque and acceleration. The first time I rode it I definitely lunged back a bit cause I hit the thumb accelerator a little too hard. I was able to cruise on the 2nd setting around 20 mph without struggle. I did bump it up the 3rd setting and topped off at 28 mph. The Raptor is advertised as going 30 mph so I'm sure it's possible with some lighter than me. I rode for about 6 miles and still have the majority of the battery available. I believe that the 28 miles on a charge is accurate, but again might slightly vary by rider size.
One of the things I really want to highlight is the lighting on the Raptor. The headlight lit up my whole street as I was riding. Also, there's some really cool looking blue lighting that shines from the bottom of the scooter onto the road. I ride at night a lot and it's really comforting knowing that I will be visible to cars. It's nice being able to see where I'm going but I also want others to see me.
Overall, the Raptor has everything that I could possibly want in an electric scooter. Great battery life, Solid, sturdy build, fast speeds. I do not think I'd be comfortable with my daughter riding it because of its power but when I'm not with her and want to rip, this will be my go-to. I would highly recommend.

Battery Life and Range
The GX1 features a high-capacity 48V 15aH Lithium-ion Battery (720Wh) ,offering an impressive range of up to 30 miles on a single charge, depending on riding conditions and rider weight. This long range makes it suitable for extended commutes or leisurely rides without the constant worry of recharging. The battery charges fully in about 5 hours, which is reasonable given its capacity.

Thanks to its dual suspension system (front and rear), the GX1 provides a smooth and comfortable ride. It effectively absorbs shocks from uneven surfaces, making it suitable for both city streets and off-road paths.

The throttle and brake controls are ergonomically placed, allowing for easy and comfortable operation. The GX1 also features multiple riding modes, catering to different skill levels and preferences. You can also setup the Scooter with a passcode to help keep it some what safe.
Portability
Despite its powerful performance, the GX1 remains relatively portable. It features a foldable design, making it convenient to carry or store in tight spaces. However, it is kind of heavy, it might be a bit much for some users to carry for long distances or to even load and unload from vehicles.
Conclusion
The GX1 Dual Motor Electric Scooter is a top-tier choice for those looking for a powerful, reliable, and stylish ride. Its impressive range, robust build, and smooth performance make it suitable for a variety of riding conditions. While it may be on the heavier side, its benefits far outweigh this minor drawback. I’m in love with my Raptor! I had a mid-range scooter before and you can easily tell this GoTrax Raptor Scooter is high end! It gets super fast (this is not for kids). It has great suspension. It has lots of great features like built-in lock, walk assist, and nice night time lighting. It has a super solid build quality that feels like it will last. Almost everything you could want in a scooter, you’ll find in the Raptor!
Pros:
High Weight Limit (330lbs)
Super Fast / Strong Motor (Max 30MPH)
Great Design including Lighting
Very Comfy Ride
Great set of Features
Very Long Distance (28 Miles)
Folds for Storage/Transport
Cons:
Fairly Big/Heavy
No Regen Braking
Some Features Not Explained in Manual
GoTrax got so many things right in this scooter! This thing has a super solid build quality with nice large air tires and a suspension system. Because of all this, it can hold adults up to 330Lbs. That’s significantly more than the majority of scooters out there. But even if you’re lightweight like me (140ish Lbs), that just means you’re gonna have an even smoother ride. I had two scooters in the past, one with air tires and one with rubber tires - the air tires definitely gave a nicer smoother ride and handles bumps much better. With the Raptor, you’re getting that benefit plus a great suspension system. When I’m riding bumps that would have been jarring on one of my old scooters, I don’t even feel or notice on this one! It handles those types of things like a champ.
This has great design. The handlebar is perfectly placed. The grips are nice and ergonomic. The accelerator, brakes, bell, and controls are all nicely laid out. The display is easy to read and use. There is no app for this and based on my experience, that’s a great thing. For a simple product like a scooter, you shouldn’t need to use an app. Everything should be handled on the scooter and with the Raptor, it is. It has a 3 number lock which can be turned off, but I think it’s great to have it there. You can turn the lights on/off and the headlight really works like a headlight as does the brake light. It also has some nice blue LED lighting for looks. It has a “walk” feature that allows you to hold a button to have the scooter power itself if you’re walking it - for me it’s a bit on the fast side - it would be nice if there was a way you could adjust what the “walking speed” is, but so far as I have found there is not. You have a +/- button to control “gears” which really aren’t gears - it’s just to change the Max speed from Low/Medium/High. You also can switch it from Economy Mode to Power Mode - I suppose one exchanges power for more mileage and the other the reverse, but in riding it I couldn’t tell a difference in acceleration or speed (the two things that affect mileage) in either mode and I haven’t had it long enough to go super far and see if I get farther on one than the other.
This is not a machine for kids. It says 16 and older, but I’d probably say 18 and older. Because it gets up to 30 MPH and yes, I got it up to that with no problem. It’s also a bit on the large/heavy side so another reason it wouldn’t be good for younger kids. It does fold for carrying it, storing it, or packing it in the back of your car, but it’s not small even when folded - that’s the trade off for having a beast of a machine. The Raptor also takes off quite fast due to the dual motors so you have to be aware and be careful when you first start off because it zooms. I have not burnt the battery down by trying to go 28 miles yet, but based on my experience, I would assume it could get that, especially if you’re in Economy Mode and keeping a moderate speed. The only feature I wish it had that my old scooter did is regenerative braking - when you have that, it allows you to slow down/stop more smoothly without wearing down the brake pads AND it also helps the battery last longer as you’re charging the battery a little bit every time you do. But that’s by no means a deal breaker as even without that, this has a much further range than my old scooter and the dual brakes on this work just fine.
This really is an excellent high end adult scooter! If you’re looking for something like that - a scooter that will go fast, go far, and do it with a super smooth ride, this is definitely the scooter to get.

Awesome, serious electric scooter

This Scooter is the monster truck bad boy of electric scooters. And is not just a kids electric scooter. Wasn’t completely aware when I ordered it and didn’t really appreciate what I was getting into until the box arrived quite large, but very well packaged double boxed, which was good. Unboxing relatively simple in the set up took about five minutes. Essentially had to just attach the handlebar to the foldable, stem and tighten with the supplied Allen wrench. then had to charge it up and wait took about five hours or so. Although the size is impressive and larger than a typical kid scooter, It does compact down really nicely with a foldable Handlebar assembly. Tires are huge, and indeed, when I tested them can jump off curbs With A serious shock Suspension system. The display LED screen is very nice although I have to say the initial set up with the manual. Could’ve been more detailed about how to enter Unlock code for the first time and it took me a few minutes to figure out. Onto how this thing rides. I got to say well I was extremely impressed and a little bit scared. First there is three speed settings, the Lowest speed goes up to 15 miles an hour, the next speed goes up to 21 and the third goes up to 30. The acceleration is quite sudden and a little bit jarring at first if you’re not careful with the throttle and you have to go very slowly otherwise, it will jerk you and potentially you can fall. My first had to get used to the speed of this at the lowest speed setting because it was still quite fast to me. I practice around my neighborhood with Little traffic, Giving me room to zip around the block.. The speed setting was even more exciting and really gets that next level. The third setting is a little scary, as I got up to 30 miles an hour on this scooter just felt like I was flying through the air with not much protection. Definitely wear a helmet, but I would even go as far as to say you probably should wear elbow and knee pads as well if you think you’re going to go up that high and speed. the platform and overall build of this thing is quite sturdy and robust. This could be a quite a handy commuter type vehicle but can also be very fun for recreation. I Also feel like it takes a little space in the garage, I definitely recommend if you’re thinking about a serious electric scooter.

I got this gotrax scooter with high hopes of it being a good all around scooter for my own personal use. I can say I was not let down, I'm very pleased with my pick so far.
This gotrax electric scooter is pretty large, definitely not made for a kid. Trust me my 2 boys were let down when they were informed this toy is dads for now. The top speed of 30mph is pretty quick for me when cruising around the neighborhood or town. The dual front and rear disc breaks are more than necessary with this dual 600w motor powered scooter.
I find the headlights and functional taillight necessary as well as the blue accent lighting below the the deck and the front handle bar stalk. The battery takes around 5 hour for a full charge. Im 6'1" and 170 lbs and have yetti get the battery to last the quoted 25 miles. But I like to use it in sport mode with both motors.
The dual functioning front and rear suspension is very helpful at making this speedy scooter more bearable on my body. I couldn't imagine a scooter this fast without the suspension. Find myself riding this about a hour every other day, it is a lot of fun cruising around on.
I do definitely recommend this scooter to anyone willing to spend this amount of money on one with dual motors.

This is an off-road scooter, it's not a commuter scooter, as it's much heaver to the point it's hard to lift it up.
Tires are wider with a deep thread.
It has a 600W motor on each wheel with disk brakes on both front and read wheels, with springs on both front and rear.
Overall construction seems very solid, with thick metal everywhere.
The battery is under the foot board and it's rated for up to 25 miles.
The controls are intuitive after a slight learning curve. There is no app needed to operate it. It does have an optional three-digit startup code that can be remove is not needed. The LED screen is visible during daylight with no issues.
It has three pre-programmed 'gears' that electronically limits the max speed and acceleration. The max speed, on a flat paved road is 30 mph. It also has a turbo mode that delivers more torque at the expense of shorter battery range.
It has a front and rear lights, brake light and ambient light on the sides of the foot board and on the stalk.
The stalk folds easily with an easy to use clasp and locks itself with a hook to the rear wheel. The handle does not fold.
It comes with its own charger and takes a few hours for the battery to charge.
The weight of the scooter is about 75 Lbs., and the frame is mostly aluminum.
It's a lot of fun, 30 mph feels like the limit one wants to drive this, because at this speed, any pothole or patch can be a potentially serious fall. It has no issue with hills of moderate incline. Barely notice the difference in speed when going up a hill. Max speed seems to be electrically controlled as I could barely make it over 30 mph downhill.
Overall, this off-road scooter is a blast to ride. It has plenty of power and good battery range.
Also note that this is UL listed.

The go trax raptor came in a beat up box from the carrier. No big deal it’s kind of heavy over 50lbs most likely. Unboxing was easy all you really have to do is attach the handle bars which requires unscrewing four hex screw with the included tool. Everything is meant to line up so really easy to set up. After set up you need to charge it up which takes a while and then here is my frustration there is a password to get into this thing but nothing in the set up guide tells you about this password thing so I had to email them before I could even ride this thing which was frustrating because I had spent an hour cutting up the boxes so they fit in my recycle can. And speaking of that this scooter is well protected like overly protected with reinforced cardboard that is hard to dispose. Better safe than sorry. I live in a desert area and wasn’t sure how the scooter would perform riding it to my shop about 3 miles away but taking some short cuts through the sandy desert. I had a blast riding this scooter it has a nice throttle and the bike itself feels well built and easy to control. There is also a walking button for when you need to walk it which helps out a lot. It’s got some kind of run flat tire deal going on but I didn’t notice any punctures yet. The shocks are really cool it rides really smoothly! Overall well built , easy to ride, easy to control, good millage , comfortable and fast. We got a winner!!

This may seem like a risk price wise but Its worth every penny. 100+ miles so far this month and many many more to go.

For the price, this is a great scooter. Great acceleration, battery life and ride quality. It would be nice if the brake and headlights were a bit brighter, but a easy amazon upgrade.
