The karaoke machine (JM250S) looks like a really nice product. It clearly shows that an ipod can be used, but when you open the box, you realize that something wrong with this picture. The instruction manual is useless. It doesn't tell you how to connect your ipod. I then called customer service, only to wait on hold for 23 minutes. They kindly told me that I need to have another cord in order to play the ipod. This product is misleading!!! I also tried playing a CD, and the sound quality is horrible, and it's nearly impossible to sing over the CD. This is such a disappointment!

The echo and quality of one's voice on this machine is GREAT! I had one that cost twice as much and the sound was bad. I use this machine to sing in nursing homes and nonprofit groups for free. The only thing I would recomend, if you are going to use it for a very large Hall, then you need to purchase an extra speaker with connection cord. I bought this machine on sale at Best Buy and would recomend it to anyone, primarily because how good it enhances ones voice.

Overall, it's a pretty good machine. I literaly use it everday. All I did was buy the protection plan on it and i switched out once because the microphone got funky after like a few months. But like i said, overall it's a neat device(:

For the money, this was a great item. However, the screen went out of it the first week of having it. I probably would have gotten another one, but the store was out of them.

Unit did not work properly out of the box. It also apparently needs proprietary CD's, but sales staff never mentioned it, and it doesn't say anything about it in the documentation. Microphone didn't work either. With reverb turned all the way up, you could here the effect return, barely. I use sound gear for a living, and this is not a quality piece at all. I took it back for a refund.

Bought this for our daughter she was very excited, plugged in microphone and started to sing... music stopped, music CD used CD+G format, checked manual - everything was plugged in correctly, if this happens to you make sure to check the AVC knob...now it works great!! Also, I found this to be useful.... if you do not like this product you only have 15 days to return for a full refund. We are keeping ours - unit seems to be working fine, can’t comment on durability haven’t had it that long yet.

Purchased as replacement for a music system. Serves its purpose with clear sound. Not yet tested Karoke so cannot comment. Got it for $ 50 so great value for money

We regularly Karaoke on the weekends, but our machine died. RIP little fella - thanks for the memories! We have looked long and hard for a good machine and decided to get this one so we'd have one for Christmas and New Year's. It was $79.99. It was a piece of garbage! The output for the iPod didn't fit the standard plugs, the sound was horrible, there was feedback on the TV and CDs that never skipped before were skipping. We returned it. SO SAD!

My karaoke machine just completly stopped working and even though I got the protection for it when I went to trade it in the didnt have it in stock and gave me a gift card for the sale price to buy it online. Why should I have to pay the difference in price when The machine didn't work? So Best Buy doesn't have to pay the difference for selling broken items. My mother got the same one and hers didn't work either. I told her don't bother going to best buy they won't replace it even with the guarantee anyway, THANKS FOR NOTHING BEST BUY!!!!

i got this for my wife. she seems to enjoy it greatly. it has a lot of features of more expensive machines.

Getting both microphone jacks to work was a challenge. Sound quality poor.

My 7-year-old daughter was excited to receive a karaoke machine and array of sing-along CDs for Christmas. Sadly, this item didn't work right out of the box. The CD+G spun and the graphics ran across the screen, but there was no sound from either the CD or her microphone. External speakers didn't work, headphones didn't work. I'll be in line Sunday morning swapping this out for something that works.

I am taking this Karoke System back to the store. It doesn't have any qualities. The microphone makes popping noise until you really can't enjoy it.

We got this for our grandaughter for christmas and she loves it price vs product was great for her it's perfect! You could spend a lot more but for a Seven year old we think it's just right!

Do you like to sing? Then this is for you. It's all in one karaoke. The cd"s are somewhat pricey but overall it's decent.

I should have considered the past reviews of this before buying it for my children as a Christmas present. We couldn't get the built in monitor to work at all and the microphone voice audio never went loud enough over the music that was playing. Based on the reviews here & in other places, I opted to return this broken unit instead of getting a replacement.

You could find better karaoke machines for about the same price. For now this one fits the bills for a young girl and her friends.

Bought this for my 10 year old daughter who loves to sing. She is enjoying it very very much. I would not recommend it for professional karaoke but it is perfect for our needs.
