It Works But Could Be Inproved

I live in a suburban area that is close to many radio stations. Unfortunately, due to the physical location of my house which has many obstacles blocking a clear signal I was unable to receive either FM or AM signals even with an amplified antenna. With this unit I am able to receive clear internet radio. I purchased this particular unit because I wanted to connect it directly to my router so I can' t speak to how good the Wi-Fi is but it works well with the ethernet connection. My only negative is that the controls and functions are not very intuitive.

Got one of these for a family member for SIIRUS and liked it. No need to run an antenna to the roof. Instead, it just works off your wireless/wired internet connection. Only reason for losing a star is I now see how Stereo receivers are having some of these services (SIRIUS, Pandora, etc.) now built into them so may be obsolete soon. Otherwise, works pretty good for now.

The Best Device I Have Ever Purchased

I am a writer working from home. I bought this is listen to jazz while I work. I turn it on first thing in the morning and it stays on all day. I love it. I am running a TOSLINK optical to a Sony 2.1 center speaker that is just perfect for me, so if you are using a high-end stereo system you may get different results. So far I have 4 stations on preset (WWFM from NJ is my favorite) and can always find something to listen to so I have 29,996 more to go. I cannot really tell the difference between the sound quality from station to station. WWFM pushes a consistent 48Kbps and a station from Bethel KS goes from 180-328K and I can't hear any real differences. I have listened to my CDs played thru my Blu-Ray and they sound only slightly better than the Grace. I am just beyond happy having this device. It is pretty easy to figure out and set up. Once you get the hang of the navigation (using the "end" and "go back" properly was a bit tricky at first) it's a breeze to use. It takes anywhere from 10-20 seconds to buffer and get a new station but once it has it it keeps it! Lost signals are probably station issues or your 'net dropping not the unit. If I have one complaint it is the temperamental remote. You HAVE to have a good aim and a clear shot to get a 50% return rate, it's just that bad. Sometimes it responds instantly, sometimes after a second. Sometimes the display lights up, sometimes it doesn't. My technique is to wait 2 seconds and if it doesn't switch I give it a quick second push and that almost always works. I think early on I expected it to switch too quickly and was clicking too much. Give it a second before pressing again but make sure to aim properly too! LOL. On a 1 to 5 scale the RC is a 2. I am so pleased with the Grace, it is a joy to have. I got the 4 year plan since It is on about 16 hours a day. So for $204 I will be using this worry-free 16 hours a day for the next 1500 days and loving every second of it. That probably works out to a tenth of a penny an hour. If you are even thinking about getting one, for whatever reason, get it. I cannot imagine anyone having this bad boy in their home and regretting it.

Forget about AM/FM/HD and satellite radio as this is the wave of the future. I bought this internet radio tuner and hooked it up to the stereo, setup the network connection in a few minutes and with the station lists automatically downloaded from the grace.reciva website, wow station after station to listen to. If you like music that isn't played on broadcast radio or satellite anymore, this is what you need to listen to tunes you actually like at home with quality sound on your stereo system. Stop listening to internet radio streams on your computer, and spending time trying to find stations to add to your media player as grace has done all the hard work for you and has 17,000+ in their database right now and is continually adding more. You can also add (up to a 100?) internet stations or music streams of your own choosing via an online account after registering the product. After turning the tuner off/on, they’re then available in a menu item called My Stuff. This tuner also has several other features and ways to listen to music, but I haven't even tried those having had too much enjoyment playing new found stations. I've used it for over 100 hours with no problems and liked it so much I bought another from Best Buy.

I was not only lucky to get this on sale price but Best Buy price matched Amazon and saved me an additional $20. Great Deal, hit it at the right time. Regardless the Grace GDI-IRDT200 is well built and gets thousands of Wi-Fi stations, including my favorite, Pandora. Set-up was a little tricky but I figured it out quickly. Beautiful piece of Audio Equipment !!

I was looking for an internet radio that I could hook up to my stereo system. I wanted one that was not complicated to use and sounded good as well. This tuner was both simple to setup and use and sounds good. Makes good connection with the router and maintains it.

This works great with old receiver and wired speakers. Using it in an office with flush mounted speakers in each room. Works like a charm! We hardwired it because our office doesn't have great wi fi. Was easy!

I bought this tuner to upgrade my stereo system. I was satisfied with the set up procedure and registration. I like being able to access all of my music files on my pc. The sound is good and no problems streaming internet radio. I would have liked a better display screen. This one seems to be older tech and a bit klunky. All in all it works as expected.

    Great radio

I have a family member who loves SIRIUS in their car and was looking for a way to get it in their home. At first, we were gonna do a traditional radio from SIRIUS and then run an antenna somehow. However, this family member is in a high rise condo that faces north so the traditional antenna option could have proven to be very challenging. Therefore, I researched internet radio options since they have a very good wifi signal in their condo. It was between this one and a GRACE radio. The Grace radio options were a little cheaper, but we decided to go with this as it fit in their entertainment system better and looked better. Set up was easy. Connected it to their password protected wifi and Yamaha receiver. It was fully installed within 15mins. I programmed a few of their favorite SIRIUS stations on presets so all they have to do now is hit a button on the remote and it goes right to the station. Buffering each station initially takes about 10-15seconds, but once connected it plays great. I might even wind up getting one for myself. The other thing I later realized too is that it will actually cost less per month for this subscription instead of a traditional radio. Since they have a radio in the car, they were able to add a SIRIUSXM internet radio account (required for this device) for about $4/month (vs the usual $12.95/month for a regular radio). You can get a SiriusXM internet radio account only, but it will cost $12.95/month if its the only device on your account. Either way, I think SiriusXM is well worth it & my family member is extremely pleased with it (hardware and service)

Worked well for years. Then Grace Digital bricked this and many other models without any concern for their customers. Avoid Grace Digital at all costs.
