I bought this in Dec 2014. It worked great for just over 1yr, and I really liked it. Then the electronic bugs hit...losing wifi connectivity, snooze button randomly quit working, etc. I then paid $33 +frt to get the thing fixed. While Grace Radio was quite responsive during the repair period, when I received the radio back...the same problems persisted. So I sent it back again & they exchanged one, and of course that one didn't work either. Grace told me I'm essentially SOL. Now I'm basically going to trash this $200 piece of junk!

If you like great music, sports, news, etc. like I do, there is no radio I know of that beats this one. I have been exploring the world with my Grace Mondo Internet Radio and am amazed at the brilliant design and function of this product. Not only can I set this radio to find any kind of music or content I wish, but I can instantly check the weather, listen to my local broadcasts, use it as an alarm clock, play music via a USB port, connect other devices to it via a 3.5mm mini jack input, use my earphones with it and even use it as a portable with a battery that I am ordering via the Internet. All one needs is a wireless internet connection. The sound is great and this is a Wonderful Product!!! I love it!!!

I've had my Grace Mondo Internet Radio for about two weeks now and I love it. I am impressed by the quality of the design and the versatility of this product. I bought the optional Grace Digital ACC-IRCLI Mondo Rechargeable Battery Pack from Amazon.com and can use it as a portable now. With my Grace Mondo, I can search the world for any kind of music, sports, police scanners, talk shows, old time radio shows, weather, news, etc. from every corner of the world in nearly every language. This radio is worth every penny and I find it easy to use. It is like a hybrid between a computer and a radio and will work wherever there is an Wi-Fi connection.

    Better than expected!

After reading a LOT of reviews about this radio, I bit the bullet and bought one. I've been sitting here for the last 4 hours playing with the unit.... It's like christmas! Sounds is decent as long as you are in the same room, it was better than what I expected from reading the other reviews. It's not a sounds system, but can be connected to one. I found all my radio stations (except 1 local one that doesn't stream) and even upped my subscription to SiriusXM to listen to favorites there. I own a Sony Dash and a Q2 internet radio. This is so much nicer and will replace my Sony Dash which requires the Sony servers to be up to have the Dash boot up. The Dash is shaped like a wheel chock and is probably what it will be used for now. The Q2 internet cube radio is nice, but you are limited to the stations the Q2 people in the UK are able to put up there. Be sure to 'register' the radio and you can add stations via the web site or submit your own streams to be added, they appear under "My Stuff" on the radio menu. I purchased the additional battery because I want to be able to tote this unit outside. The setup was EASY, although I have not really tried to use the remote as I can't put the radio down. The volume on top is a bit peculiar, but I can see where it will be handy knowing it's on top when fumbling for it in the middle of the night. I searched the internet and BestBuy.com had the best price.

Great Product and Easy to Use

I needed a new speaker for my iPhone so that my child could listen to Toddler music on Pandora and so that I could listen to some local stations. I heard Leo Laporte talk about Internet radios on his show, including Grade Digitial radios and looked into it. I also researched the Logitech radio, but saw too many poor reviews on setting it up. While I'm relatively tech savy, easy setup is always a plus and I got this radio up and running in 3 minutes. Firmware upgrades are easy and sound quality is excellent although I don't have the ear of others. Setup of Pandora took a couple more minutes, but was also quick and painless from my iPhone. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone.

    Good Internet radio

I'm very happy with my purchase of this Internet radio. I would definitely recommend it. I had no trouble getting it set up and figuring out how to find the stations, even without using the manual. My skills using technology are fair. I think most people would have no trouble setting this radio up. Using the remote is a bit awkward. There is an "up" arrow which takes you to the left on a "keyboard" that you see on the radio screen. The "down" arrow takes you to the right. I don't see a way to scroll up or down on this keyboard, just two directions, so it took me a fairly long time to enter the names of the stations I was searching for. Once you've found what you want you can enter it in one of 10 pre-sets. Then you just hit that button on your remote to find the station. This "keyboard" is like the one on my Kindle (I have the basic one), but it is easier to navigate the Kindle "keyboard" than this one. On the plus side, you probably won't have to navigate the radio keyboard once you have found the stations you want. I think the sound quality is very good. I haven't encountered a lot of buffering, certainly less than when I use radio apps on my IPad mini. I was disappointed that I wasn't able to find all of the stations I'm interested in. I haven't found a German-language one that I'd be interested in. I did find many BBC stations, including the BBC World Service. According to the user's manual, if you register the radio online you can request stations, but I haven't had the time to do that yet. I also haven't tried Pandora yet. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. It was on sale when I bought it, so the price was pretty good. I'm looking forward to exploring more options with the radio.

Great radio, especially in rural areas

I love this radio, really. In my area, the terrestrial stations faded in and out depending on weather, air traffic, and time of day. Also, most clock radios have no headset jack, which limits my listening when my wife is sleeping. I've had this radio for a few months now and I can clearly receive all the local stations, stations from around the world, Pandora, instant weather forecast, custom alarm settings for weekdays and weekends, light intensity settings, etc.... So many features, including the headset jack, that I already use, and many more to learn. Setup was easy. Only drawbacks: lose internet and you lose radio; lose power and you lose radio, but they make a battery for that. I highly recommend this radio, and I don't often highly recommend anything.

    3rd streaming radio.

This is my 3rd streaming radio. The buffer and fetch time are slower than the Logitek Squeezbox and Grace 1000 on the same network. The screen size is nice but too bright even on the lowest setting. Maybe these can be corrected with an update.

Decent radio, but I only got two years out of it before it died. The unit is dead in the water. I liked the radio while it worked, but if you plan to purchase -- budget for only getting two years before having to buy another one. This was my second Internet Radio. First one -- Aluratek -- same thing. Two years and it died. I am now shopping for my third IR. I guess they are all designed to only give two years of service life.

Must be a Technical Genius Apparently

Well, I tried to get my iPhone working with my Mondo today and have discovered that you must be some kind of technical genius to figure this out. Something about a UPnP media server that you need. Downloaded a couple of different apps but have no idea how to make THAT work. What the heck? Thought this was supposed to be easy. A big reason I bought this was to play my OWN music on top of the perks of Internet radio, which I also LOVE. But sometimes I really would like to play my own tunes using my iPhone or iPad Touch. SOOOO frustrated that I may just return this and go back to a simple bluetooth speaker and ditch the idea of enjoying Internet radio so that I can absolutely have the option of playing my tunes. I find this absolutely ridiculous. The USB port does NOTHING. The AUX does absolutely nothing. Why did this have to be so confusing and complicated?????

    Wonderful Product! No Instructions, Support!!

Grace Mondo promises to deliver Internet Radio and play music from your computer hard drive. On the first offer it performs flawlessly. On the second, and on customer support the product leaves a lot to be desired. After changing computers, I couldn't get the unit to recognize the new computer, and after that, it couldn't find my music library folder. Looking for intstuctions on "How to configure the unit to wirelessly Play Music From Your Computer? They haven't been written yet. This is sad, because the unit has excellent sound. As for Customer Tech Support, that's a long, drawn out communications process that eventually ends when they stop responding! If this category is ever to develop they have to decode the procedures and spend some money on tech writers!

    Pitiful excuse for internet radio

I bought this radio a year ago so my mom could listen to her favorite Bluegrass programs over the internet when she moved to Knoxville, TN from the Washington, DC area. I set up the radio, tuned to BluegrassCountry.org (available from the genre select menu & also the NPR selection. We listened one time, then after that it would get hung-up retrying connection. Set the radio for other selection an sometime they work, then get hung-up retrying connection; maybe a full power cycle fixes, maybe not. Brought the radio back to Chicago, did a full reset and had the same results on network. The reception of internet radio station is intermittent or non-existence at best. Set the radio up on both Verizon & Comcast networks. Save your money, this radio is a piece of junk!
