From the time I've started this game till now, I have enjoyed every single second of my journey. This is easily the game of the year, if not the decade. It is stunning graphically, pushing the PS3 to it's limits, and the world is seamless. If Rockstar never made another Grand Theft Auto, this could easily be the Magnum Opus of the series. **SUMMARY** Graphics: 5/5 - The game looks gorgeous. Rockstar truly captured the feel of Southern California and made each location look unique and believable. Cars, characters, waves, the city; it's truly amazing. Audio: 5/5 - Every sound helps make the city feel alive. From the sound of foot steps to the hum of an engine, the acting and the audio is top notch. Gameplay: 5/5 - The improvements are immediately noticeable. Any issues with previous iterations of Grand Theft Auto should be satisfied; the controls are tight and everything feels fluid and seamless. It's a joy to drive, run, shoot, and travel around Los Santos. Those with gripes about GTA IV: this plays and feels much better, cars handle much better. You will not be disappointed.

Great graphics and very large map. Really enjoyed having the ability to switch between cameras. The heists were the most fun as you could plan them out and then go through with the plan while using all the characters in combination to achieve your goal. Would definitely recommend.

I've been waiting for this game since it was announced. The graphics are a nice step up from GTA IV. I'm not sure I like the way they changed the handling and damage on cars, it's certainly different from GTA IV. Its not a huge deal as I'm already used to it. I'm glad they brought the car customizing back, and added a lot to it. The shooting and guns are a lot better. I haven't uncovered the whole map yet, but it's huge! I remember a few areas in the game from San Andreas, just updated with better graphics. Love the multi character story line. If you've played GTA you know what to expect, it's definitely worth picking up!

This is the most expansive GTA to date. Huge Map with awesome activities. But nevertheless the attention to detail is impressive to say the least. And this time around you control not just one character at a time but three and you can switch between them almost all the time. Plus each character has their own unique ability. Not to mention over the top crazy story line for each character. This is like GTA 4 with the expansions included in one game with characters interacting with each other at various occasions. But Alas! the greatest negative when it comes to gaming; Real life still requires your attention. Shush!

Fantastic gameplay, graphics, story, music, and characters. GTAV has nearly unlimited hours of gameplay. Either do the missions or just cruise around and explore the city. I've put in nearly 60 hours and still discovering new things. Highly recommended!

GTA V was worth the wait. It takes all of the best from GTA IV and previous installments and then refines or improves what didn't work in earlier games. GTA V leaves everything we have come to enjoy about Rockstar's unique approach to open-world games, while adding a much more polished and refined overall product. What we are left with is a game of incredible detail and scope, and most of it works well. This is credit to an approach of taking the time to truly create an experience to define a generation of gaming, instead of rushing a product to launch every holiday season. GTA V really pushes the limits to what is possible with the current generation of hardware, and with the upcoming GTA Online, truly feels like an ideal segway into the next generation of consoles. From minimal load times to graphichs vastly improved from 2008's GTA IV, I can hope that this is a sign of things to come when my PS4 arrives in November. Until then, GTA V will be the perfect way to wait. Positives: + Exceptional graphics and sound - the best you will find on this generation of systems + Re-worked mechanics - better driving, gunplay, menus - everything + An open world that creates an atmosphere like nothing else in games -- few details are missed. + Introduction of multiple characters means a unique gaming experience and incredible variety every time you play. Negatives: - While mostly entertaining, the social commentary can get a little too over the top at times. - This is still GTA V, and for better or worse, at times the missions are a bit too silly/scripted.

I have been playing GTA for a while now and this one by far is the best GTA. Multiplayer makes the game and it has a solid story line. Haven't had any problems with the disc. Thumbs up.

First off, DO NOT let children younger than 17 play or even watch gameplay of this game. There are very mature themes and sequences that kids shouldn't see or hear. Be a responsible parent and say no. Now that doesn't mean this game is bad. It's an excellent parody of American middle class. But there are a few moments where even adults may find themselves uncomfortable, so it really is a game for a mature audience. My only real complaints about the game are with the vehicles. Cars still have butter-slick wheels, but the potential for crazy and funny incidents make it okay. Planes aren't too bad, but the inability to change the controls means dealing with unintentional movements sometimes. Helicopters are awful, especially compared to the previous game. Even with maxed out flight skill, they will still wobble and sway making flying straight virtually impossible. Flying helis was my favorite thing on GTA IV, so Rockstar disappointed me with this. Literally everything else in the game is great. I'm surprised at how well the game looks and runs on current gen consoles. The story is much, much better than GTA IV. Every character feels dynamic and necessary rather than just there. Fighting and shooting mechanics are a nice improvement. There's so much to do from tennis to diving, and they all contribute to improving your character skills. Missions are also very dynamic, and you never feel like you are doing the same thing over and over. You are guaranteed to be busy with the story mode for tens of hours, and you'll easily enjoy it. This game is already worth every penny, and the online isn't even out yet. The online will easily add even more fun into the equation - playing with friends and doing everything from robbing a bank to coordinating a parachute drop, and even conventional game modes like death matches and races. This game is a must buy, hands down.

This game is probably the best by far in the grand theft auto franshise. With a huge map, so much to do, and explore. GTA5 will have you playing for hours and days to come. I gave this game perfect on graphics because although it's not as sharp as people may say. I think most people can agree that graphics are still pretty good considering they put so much in this game. Over all the game runs pretty smooth it's way funner then previous GTA's so if you love all the others you'll definitely love GTA5. Lots of new and old vehicles and customizing cars is brought back with way more selection on vehicle improvements and upgrades. Weapon upgrades and customizing is also a new thing I'm sure everyone is really gonna enjoy. The shooting in this game was improved and so was driving cars, airplanes, and all. Playing with multiple in game characters could not have gone any better. Definitely pick up a GTA5 it's so worth it.

The story mode is fun and challenging. Multiplayer online with versus or coop is a great new addition. Lots of new side missions to keep you interested. Huge map to keep you entertained for hours. Many different cars, water craft, and aircraft to choose from. Big selection of weapons. Have the option to choose from different characters at anytime during the game. They did a great job on the graphics, very detailed! I would definitely recommend this game to anyone!

im not much of a console gamer- reason being most games are either overpriced, a waste of time, or just plain bad. after using some of the profits from ebay and my apps on amazon i bought gta v. ive played just about all of the gta games rockstar has come out with and this is by far the greatest one. the story mode is very fun, full of humor, and pretty long. the graphics are also beautiful and the texturing is unbelievably real. but the online mode is even better. the only problem is that a lot of people on it are complete jerks. maybe your just driving around looking at the sights and someone will chuck a brick of c4 at you and destroy you and your car. and repetitively do it. or maybe someone purchases a tank and starts blowing everything up in sight. and not to mention the tons of hacks and exploits as well. normally the maximum amount you can place a bounty on someone is 9k (lester takes 1k cut). ive seen bountys in the millions and negatives. ive seen flying cars. and even myself was given a ridiculous amount of money that while my bank balence is around 240 bil it stopped at 1 and wont move. and im not the only one. but its still a wonderfull game but youll have to deal with all the trolls if you play online

The best game in the series. Great graphics, voice acting and story. Had me entertained all the way until the end.

A great game that comes close to the quality of San Andres which was the best game. The RPG element could have gone further and leveling was a little difficult but the game has probably the best story line yet and Trevor is by far the most interesting character out of the series. The story line seemed a lot better balanced and opened up slowly over time as a budding flower to unveil the personalities and histories of the characters. The weapon selection and improvement is awesome and allows for diverse play style. Gorgeous graphics and an underwater world that is worth taking time to explore. I would have liked to see more heists and the ability to continue them after beating the game as well as more payouts. A couple huge payouts were the biggest cash gains in the game and I think more opportunities to make cash would have helped as well as better payouts for properties owned and more unique benefits for owning the properties could have helped. The 3 protagonists do a great job of balancing out three different personalities that compliment each other. Some very unique approaches with the 3 protagonists could possibly open up to a whole new level of gaming. This approach is bold and works. All in all a well balanced and well made game that will keep you entertained as well as give you a great story with a beautiful world to explore and lots of fun activities when not gang banging, stealing cars or hunting your fellow man. Definitely a game to that will go down as legend.

This game is so much on the adult level that it's almost a over kill. I think the game could be just as fun / good with only 50% of the cussing it has. It's like every other word is the "F" bomb or worse. Some of it's almost X rated but for an adult game it's pretty good as long as there are no kids around. Since I do have kids I have to play it when they are not around which will result in a long time before I'll finish the game. If you play this game around a younger child your simply asking for trouble as they are going to hear very bad language and MAY see a X rated part of the game. I still give the game a very high rating simply because it is very good and it is rated for adults. Just keep it away from any young children and you have a winner.

I've only played this game for about 6 hours, mostly running around and exploring. The map is huge, the gameplay has many new additions. The story with 3 different characters to play will be great when all 3 are working together to create the story as a whole. The fact that I got a code for the Atomic blimp is sweet. Rockstar has definitely upped the bar with this installment of GTA!!!

Excellent game, elaborate gameplay and maps, so be patient with load time... This game pushes the PS3 as far as it can go.

As I barrel down a Los Santos sidewalk, running over people in front of what is basically the place I work at in real life, I think to myself, "Why should I ever go outside again? What's the point?" I can live in this game. I can live in Los Santos. It's essentially a Los Angeles simulator with zero repercussions, zero real life smog, and zero bums doing their business on my car - again, in real life. This is the most true to life setting I've ever experienced in a game. I live in Los Angeles and all My friends and I talk about is how real it feels. I've found my apartment, where I work, and nearly everywhere I've spent my time. It's mind-bending. The story is fantastic. The graphics are spectacular. It's fowl. Insanely fowl. If that's a surprise, where have you been the last 15 years? GTA is always fowl. But that's why we love it. As for the PS3 version, it suffers, like many PS3 games, from a good amount of LOD popping (shadows, models, textures seemingly popping into existence as the player moves about the world). If you have a 360, probably go for it on that. Regardless, give up your money and play this game. And don't let kids play this. You're a bad parent if you do.

This game is awesome, Iam not that far into the story but the prologue part of the mission was amazing. I am only a few missions in and you can see the amount of effort that Rockstar put in. I have not explored much of the map but it is huge. The map.does look like LA. This is a must buy game if you are a fan of the series.

What a great followup to GTA 4! Improved gameplay and graphics. Gameplay with others online is a blast! It's been hours of fun for the young adults and adults in our family. For you parents out there, I wouldn't suggest this for ages below young adults unless you have a high tolerance for very strong language, violence, and drug-related themes. But if you're looking into buying this game, you probably knew these things already! Did I already say it's a fun game? :D

all the GTA games are pretty good but this is by far the best in the series and top 5 games of all time... what this does right is that it has all the side missions but with the story line there is planning and stealth and if you are on one side of the map and need to get to the other side//you can switch characters that is in a different part of the map .... there is so much to this game that makes it great and then to add the missions online is a plus
