Gravity Rush 2 improves a lot on the first game. The controls feel a bit better, and there's more to explore. The story and characters are just as fun as ever, and aside from a few frustrating side missions, this game is a real winner. You can't go wrong with Gravity Rush 2!

An Amazing Sequel and Conclusion to Kat's Journey

Admittedly, I purchased this game on release date but did not actually play it till 12/2017 and complete it till 01/2018. This game and entry is a must buy to any players of the first game. Questions you have from GR are answered and revealed here. It's not just a sequel that adds a new existing story and focuses on the future. Lore from the first game is established and explained here. Having made sure to purposely revisit but also first hand experience GR through its remaster before delving into its sequel, GR2 was a fantastic sequel. The story and writing is extremely well done, and is longer, bigger, and more epic than GR. The lore is intact and capitalized on, Kat's origins are explained (including the event of how the first game started), the timeline changes are handled well without, if any, major plotholes, the accompany of the special gravity creatures are explained, the world tree plays a part in the story, the dark ocean narrative from the first game is not absent here, all characters focused on competently play their part in the story (and Raven is a very engaging character to see more of in this installment), the ending is satisfying and presented great, etc. Music is not amazing but it's good and does its job. Gameplay is better overall, with a few flaws, combat wise. The overall gameplay as a whole is much better. Camera seems worse but the event requires certain collisions with the surfaces in the game so it's mostly situationally worse. Better UI. The online components (which are ending 8 days from now) are very fun (unfortunately some people will miss out on a fun extention to the game here, which may not affect the core GR2 experience, but is a fun side of gameplay). Graphics are not as stylize as the first game, but it's still great. The level design is good. The geometry of the level design has been revamped in this game to include bigger and flatter surfaces so that walking, running, and sliding on and underneath rooftops is actually possible. This is actually a part of the game I praise, because the underneath portions of buildings that you usually don't explore or need to go under are designed to an extent that puts it on the tier of actual levels you're advancing through. The story was the best part about this game. Just purely amazing writing here. For a basis on the quality of the story, I'd put it up there with the Uncharted series (haven't played Horizon Zero Dawn or Nier yet; they're in my backlog). However, better than inFAMOUS series. The games are actually similar to inFAMOUS: Super Power Heroes, Comic Book style presentation, etc. I essentially find this a higher tier/quality style inFAMOUS game, and im talking the 1st and 2nd game.. the series, not just Second Son.

A underrated gem from this console generation

Gravity Rush 2 was a game that I always wanted to try as it’s art style and gameplay made it look different from other PlayStation exclusives like God of War or Spider-Man (games I loved btw). So after a few months of playing and because of this game getting the first one from the PSN store, this game and the series is a underrated gem. Gravity Rush’s main thing that makes it unique besides it’s art style is controlling gravity. Gravity allows your character "Kat" to "fly in style" to beat your enemies, this makes the game what it is and it is fun to use your powers to explore the huge open world and do missions that are either for the story or to go more in-depth with the people of the cities in side missions. Combat works for the most part and getting more powerful with a upgrade system is rewarding with gems to collect around the world. The story and characters are great for the most part as you get wrap up with major moments and care for "Kat", however a few plot points can get confusing and feel underdeveloped as the game (no pun intended) rushes to get to the next chapter and to it’s perfect ending for a game like this. Gravity Rush 2 is a fun open world game that is nothing like other PlayStation exclusives and is worth picking up if you want a fun open world to explore and want something unique from PlayStation’s studios

Playing Gravity Rush 2 evokes emotions that I get from watching Studio Ghibli films like Castle in the Sky. My heart and soul and every frame and detail show through. This is definitely a passion project from the developers that created it. Graphics are spot-on and the music is perfectly sounded. Definitely worthwhile game.

Gravity Rush 2, as you'd expect, continues the story from the original game and expands everything with a more complex world, larger story, and gorgeous visuals. The game is fantastic, perhaps only set back by how the game's story sometimes takes agency away from the player pitting them against scripted battles. Nevertheless, if one can get past that, the game is worth it and a worthy sequel.

The game is gorgeous, the art style really takes you into the world with it's anime style cell shading. The story is great and Kat is a lovable character. The best part is the gravity shifting, I could play around with the mechanic forever and it will never stop being fun.

Gravity Rush 2 is by far better than the original. The game is now this massive open world you can explore and fly though. The side missions add to the story and the characters, instead of just random NPC’s asking for favors. The characters and the main story missions are a joy to play through. The dialog between the character is as funny as ever. Technically the game is impressive. The world is gigantic, the graphics are sharp and colorful and the music is excellent. This might be one of those games a year from now people might call a “Hidden Gem”.

Pro: Unbelievably beautiful and lively world. Amazing design and artwork. Free online play that doesn't require PS+ One of a kind gameplay. Awesome soundtrack ranging from Classical all the way to Jazz. Con: Stretched out side mission feels like a chore. Camera issues (Be weary if you get dizzy easily) 30 fps + occasional frame dip. An incredibly niche title that isn't afraid to be different from the rest of the market, Gravity Rush 2 is probably one of my favorite Playstation game to date with its bold approach. While the game really didn't take off in the West, I would recommend this game to anyone who's interested in a fantastical adventure.

Gravity Rush 2 is an excellent experience and in every way an improvement from the first entry in the series. Gameplay has become more varied with the addition of various combat modes that change how Kat shifts gravity, the open world is much bigger thanks to the power of the PS4, and the story is more ambitious. What has not changed is the quirky and funny writing of the story and all the fun and unique (save one or two) side quests the game provides. The soundtrack is also excellent! Highly recommend this to any fans of the first game or anyone who enjoys anime-inspired open world games!

It's not often a game gets released these days that doesn't in at least some way copy previous formulas, but the Gravity Rush series absolutely qualifies as an original. The original was an underappreciated classic on the PS Vita (available on PS4, but difficult to find and lacking the touch screen features of the Vita), and the sequel is just as fun a trip. The mechanics of the game revolve around your character being able to alter the direction of gravity in a fully 3-D environment. The effects are temporary, but can be improved upon as you level up. This has effects in both platforming and combat as you collect power-ups and fight creatures alike. I will warn those that suffer from motion sickness that this game can be VERY disorienting, and I've had to limit myself to brief spurts of it as a result. Still, absolutely give it a shot; I think you'll find it as unique a game as there is available today.

I remember playing gravity rush originally and it was a lot of fun, with the open world and ability to explore freely with your gravity powers. A fun smooth experience with some awesome moments in the game makes it a must play, and this one definitely builds upon the older game and enhances with new experiences and story that you gotta play to see!

Gravity Rush 2 takes all of the unique gameplay, traversal, and combat from the original Vita game and PS4 remaster and expands on it in every way! The overall game is pretty lengthy, but that may not be a negative depending on what kind of player you are. For me, it felt like the game was just a little too long, but other than that, I highly recommend this game, especially for fans of anime; it has a lot of anime influences in the artstyle, characters, and dialog.

I bought Gravity Rush on Vita and fell in love. Obviously the technology limited it, so levels were very simplistic and repetitive in look and gameplay. The sequel pluses everything. More gameplay variation, larger more varied world, better graphics, more destructible environments and overall content. Its everything I wanted but if you didn't like the first one, than you probably won't like this one. Its a shame it sold soo poorly that they'll never make a sequel.

This is a very quirky and fun game that revolves around a unique gravity-defying mechanic, that the story, characters and gameplay all coherently revolve around. If you played the first game than this is a big improvement as well. The game size and missions are vastly expanded and the graphics have been vastly improved but still retains the unique look the first game had. The story is also improved from the first game, and from the gripping atmospheric opening where you descend into a mining area you can already tell this. Probably the biggest improvement however is the gameplay additions. Just when you think the gameplay might get a bit stale or repetitive, a brand new mechanic is introduced and shakes things up entirely, and then another one after that. All in all, this is my favorite game to come out, early in this year, and it's a very unique game in terms of gameplay, visual look, characters and story, and a big improvement in all areas from the first game.

I've played the first Gravity Rush and Gravity Rush 2 improves from the first game. I really like these very colorful and artistic games that don't get too much attention. I like the graphics! They may not be life-like looking graphics, but looks colorful and cartoon like which is not a bad thing. I prefer this type of graphics, but that's just me. It has a good story that I won't spoil. Good sound/music quality. I had a great time playing this game! Gravity Rush 2 to me is a very underated game, that you should give it a try.

Gravity rush quickly became one of my favorite games of the year. It’s styalistic approach and beautiful colors appeal to the eye. Game play is much more refined in kats movement. Story is ok for the most part but it’s the gameplay that keeps me coming back.
