My car has only a CD player/radio, but I wanted to play music from my Samsung Galaxy S5 from my car's speakers. I bought this in store and have been using this for a couple of months. It is easy to use and has a USB port so I can charge my phone while I listen. It works well when I can find a good free frequency. The interference from other radio stations in the area is a problem. I live in a very populous city with tons of radio stations, so I have trouble finding a free radio frequency with no interference while I drive in different areas of town.

Bought this adapter for playing music in my car without Bluetooth or other cellphone integration technology. Although the adapter finds an available FM station quickly, the sound quality is not very good. Some static and need to increase volume to listen to the music.

Took some time trying to figure out how to use it, even with the vague instructions, but you can eventually figure it out. Like any other transmitter, there's static mostly always, specially when driving around. Sound might have felt cheap because of that but it's been okay. The charger light is cool.

overall it's a good prouduct. it's a temporary get around until you have a iPod player installed in your car. the overall sound quality is poor until you find that perfect station which could take awhile. although it might just be my car also. Not sure. I mainly use it to charge my phone.

Simply put i spent 50 bucks on this item, only because best buy was sold out of others. Well i thought, its pricey so it should be high quality, well its not. Its strength goes in and out. Its very quiet, meaning i must turn up my radio almost maxed to even hear it. Id return it but its too late for that i believe. It serves its purpose as broadcasting my phones music to my car, but its low quality, expensive, and not that reliable... Also, its smart scan feature.... No idea what thats good for as it will smart scan to used fm stations..... Id return it if i could... If best buy will allow it, please contact me, i dont have the packaging though.

iTrip Auto Mobile FM Transmitter - Just "so-so"

Bought this transmitter to replace my Belkin one that I destroyed by pulling it out from under the seat by the wire...(not smart)... None of them available in the stores still have the iPod 30 pin connector, so I got this one that plugs into the headphone jack for audio and use the original 30 pin/USB cable to charge it in the transmitters USB port...now needing two wires to do the job of the old single wire transmitter. It works pretty well in my Porsche (a $100K car with no USB/aux jack, go figure)...but doesn't work well at all in the BMW M Roadster due to static noise. (I'm going to Best Buy to purchase a new radio with iPod connectivity for the bimmer.) Recommend if all else fails.

This is the 2nd type of iTrip I've owned and this one is definitely better than the previous one I owned. It also helps that this one has the USB on it so that a charger can be used without another power outlet in the car. Sometimes it is hard to tune into a station that works well without static, but I knew that going in. If I wanted to avoid this, I would've spent the $150-$200 having an auxiliary installed in my car at BestBuy. Overall it works as expected.

I was looking for a Belkin but coul dnot find one when I needed it. I bought this one. It works. The smart scan looks for an empty freq and then you set that on your radio. While traveling in the car you will have to redo the scan and find another empty channel and set it in your radio. That is how these units work. My complaint is that the freq readout window is discolored ( cloudy) and its very hard to read the freq to set your radio. This is especially trueon a sunny day. It workes and I was on a trip so I just kept it. I suggest to look for a Belkin if you can find one.

I had a cheap version of this before and decided to pay the extra bucks to see if I could solve the issue of not having an auxiliary input, sadly I concluded that this was not worth the money. It does the job but costing three times more than the one I had, I don't see the benefit of getting this over a cheap version at the gas station.

Since my car is not equipped with bluetooth, I wanted an easy to use device to play music and podcasts over my radio. This works well and is very easy to set up.

Need something easy for hands free other than a clip in my ear. This fit the bill nicely. It was easy to set up. Just some of the channels can have some static in them you may have to search for an alternate channel. Other than that it works great.

This is one of several Griffin product accessories that I own. Like the other, it's performance is of consistently good quality and it allows me to stream music from my iPhone over the car's speaker system. It is dependent on the availability of FM frequencies. This is not an issue if you are using this in a local, limited geographic area. However, if you are traveling long distances then changing frequencies becomes mildly annoying.

Sounded horribly scratchy, couldn't hear it unless both the stereo and the device were cranked up to max volume (which just made the scratchy part worse!), and had to change stations every time we came near a new town. The only thing nice about it was the extra USB port. As I told the guy when I returned it, if I had spent $5 on it, I would have kept it - that is what it is worth. But being that it was almost 10 times that, I wanted my money back, and got it.

This is great for the vehicles without an Auxiliary input,so far as long as you want music. And the USB import makes a have a +1 for needing to charge on the go. But the downsides are: 1) You have to keep your device thats plugged in LITERALLY on the Transmitter, so static can be less of an issue. 2) It reduces your audio quality so you have to turn up your radio to hear better. 3) Does not really find an automatically good station, you manually have to search for empty channels then set your transmitter to that station. Again, This is my experience with this product. Maybe it works better for others but its okay for me. Hope you find this useful.

This product serves its purpose, but I find that you also get a signal full of static often. Therefore, I do not use it much. It was inexpensive, though, so no harm done.

This is the third Itrip FM transmitter I purchase (this time as a gift for my boyfriend) I love the quality, doesn't produce as much static as other transmitters I've purchased in the past and I like that I can control the volume using my device as well as the car stereo. The only drawback is that it is a little pricey, which is the reason why I've purchased other brands before but the quality didn't compare.

It is a great product only suggestion is the static intervals depending on the location. Interrupted to find a better station.
