if i had to give this game a rating i would give it 5 stars. this is becuase you can hop out of a song or join up without messing it up and you can also have more of the same kind of instrument while playing a song. there are many more reasons why i would give it 5 stars but thats all i can say about it for now until it comes out. this game looks like it is going to be the best out of all of the other guitar hero's. i give the music 4 stars because im not a fan of all the genres of music that they have. the difficulty i would give 4 stars because on all of the guitar hero's ive been able to beat every song with no problem on expert except for the fire thru the flames. ive given the graphics 5 stars becuase the graphis are really good for a game with music. and last ive given the fun 5 stars because ive always enjoyed every guitar hero ive owned.

This game is great for anyone who loves guitar games. I think the graphics are amazing and the way you can use your avatar on the stage helps this one out as well. I love all the competitive game types for multiplayer and the way you can mix and match instruments. I mean it's pretty cool to play a song with 4 lead guitarist. I have read many reviews where people say this game is laggy or calibrated badly. I don't know what game you are playing as it plays flawless on mine. The only thing to me that was kind of letdown was the new music line up was not as good as previous guitar hero games. The fix is too upload your smash hits game and world tour game into it for a small fee. Now this is great stuff.

Guitar hero has brought fun to everyone with its series, and the graphics are perfected in guitar hero 5.the new party play and avatar band players really caught my attention, believe me when i say this is the evolution of music based games. BUT,there is one thing, all the songs on it are just classic rock.the older guitar heros were filled with hard rock and metal. Now there is only a couple of those songs in the game.

Guitar hero 5 has exceeded what i thought this game company could do with their graphics because in the first games the graphics were really bad. For the people who want more of a challenge in drumming there is a great difficulty setting for those people and it's called Expert+, which means you need double bass which requires 2 bass pedals and an adaptor to do this. Also if you have gotten the free DLC for Guitar Hero 4 it can be transfered into Guitar Hero 5 for free if you have a 360 i have no idea for the PS3. The music diveristy of this game is very great. It has hard metal songs like Demon(s), and all afound fun songs like Brainstorm. If anyone "asked should i get this game?" i would say yes or why don't you look through the song list of the game then decide whether or not you want it.

Im looking forward to this full band version of guitar hero much more than i was for guitar hero world tour. Its always nice to see some new classic rock bands included, and i have no problem with a diverse song list. The offer that is out which would get you guitar hero van halen for free with the purchase of this game is fantastic. I cant recall another time that i have been this excited for a game to come out than guitar hero van halen, so this bonus offer is great. Guitar hero needs to work on its downloadable content if it wants to be in the sme league as rock band, but guitar hero 5 is looking pretty good.

This is easily the worst guitar hero game I have ever played. The new graphics are great, but it doesn't make up for the godawful song list. This one is definately a renter so you can see what the songs are and how they play.

After playing GHWT, I thought I was bored of GH. Luckily GH Metallic got me back into the series, and GH5 has kept my interest. The only part I don't like: Online play. You can’t specify how many people to play with. This can creates long wait times. When it finds enough players a 15 sec count down begings. This is way to long. Other than that there is nothing bad about the game.

Found this Guitar Hero version to be the worst. Track list was boring. Glad I rented it and didn't buy it.

Long time GH player. This has been, by far, the most disappointing of the series. The "calibrated-out-of-the-box" calibration system is atrocious. It makes the game extremely aggravating to a near unplayable state. Game shifts and jerks to "correct" any "predetermined" a/v lag. If one is lucky to correctly calibrate the lag, then the results are temporary. Once the game is restarted, previous settings are skewed. The biggest disappointment comes from the fact that the game content is so great. Yet, the irritable calibration system prevents GH5 to compete strongly against the Rock Band series again. Hopefully, an update patch is already in the works to remedy the situation. Until then, I'd wait on this one.
