The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars because the live mode is kinda short and I was hoping for more. Everything else was great good music and good replay value.

The new guitar hero was interesting. The new controller is decent but it requires a usb stick to link and it loses signal some. The buttons were to close together also. The initial song selection was cool but it seems like a lot of songs are earned slowly or sped up with micro transactions. Something Activision is known for. After my Son & 1 had it for a week we brought it back and got Rockband instead.
I gave it 3 stars because some people will enjoy it but we didn't so much

Honestly this is hands down the best guitar hero I ever played so far and I'm so glad they changed the controls on the guitar. It's so much better this way and offers even more of a challenge as for the game itself it's honestly an all win, 5/5 is much deserving.

I was a big fan of the other heroes and this steps up the difficulty and adds real life people in the mix , this one makes a good addition to the franchise

If you like guitar hero, get this game. It's a nice spin on the classic game. If you're on the fence it's worth it. Relearning how to play is half the fun!

At first I was thrown off by the fret changes, however it does feel more like a guitar. Quality game that brings back memories.

Guitar hero tv is a nice touch. The game is a little different than the old guitar hero games because of the guitar is not the same which is o.k.

My fiancé bought this game and he has the previous ones. He finds this one is more challenging than the previous. I would give it a thumbs up.

I waws very skeptical of Guitar Hero Live, but when I saw it for sale for $25 at Best Buy, I had to give it a shot. I loved Guitar Hero and Rock Band since the beginning, so I was excited to play again.
The Good:
-Good song selection out of the box
-New fret design makes songs more challenging and feels realistic
-Lots of songs available for streaming on online component
-Good Price for Bundle
-It is relatively easy to earn tokens for song plays
The Bad:
- Full Motion Video sequences are kind of cheesy
- Other than the songs that come on disc, it is impossible to "buy" songs, you have to just play for free tokens which equal "plays". This is frustrating if you really like a song and want to play it often. This is the biggest downfall in my opinion.
- Other than singing, no drums or bass instruments
- Can't import previous purchased DLC for other Guitar Hero games, can't use previous instruments
Overall: I returned this game because I preferred Rock Band 4. I love playing the drums, and I was able to import all my previous Rock Band DLC purchases. If you are only interested in playing guitar, and the microtransaction aspect of this game doesn't bother you, you will love this game!

I mean the graphics in this game cannot get any better, the music selection is good but the career mode is very short wish it was longer.

This iteration of the Guitar Hero franchise features a new controller and two different ways to play. The Live mode is similar to the single player progression modes in the series' past iterations while the GHTV mode offers random playlists for you to play while earning currency to access an extensive track list for you to choose from.

Although the new controller is a little hard to get used to if you've played the previous guitar heroes and the sound track is a little softer rock than normal, the game is still just as fun as it was in the guitar hero one days.

Not what I am used to. Instead of it being the green, yellow, red, blue and orange buttons. 3 white buttons and 3 black buttons, in 2 rows. I can't seem to get the hang of it. Playing or normal is difficult for me where as I was able to play hard and expert on the previous games.

Guitar controller is well made, syncing to xbox one was easy. Easy to jump right in and play, but where is the bass player option?

The GH game is better than the old version because of the different playing option like concert mode which is pretty cool cause you do a string of songs as if you were actually performing. The interaction with the crowd and band members is so realistic it gives you a better game play

I've been hook on rhythm games for some time now and purchased this game due to my curiosity of the new plastar gameplay. I must say it works/feels better than the original 5 fret plastar. It's a little too easy on the default difficulty, you might want to stay on advanced
