I was extremely disappointed with this purchase. I’ve used digital download services before numerous times, but for the first time on Best Buy, and trust me, it will be the last. The first problem surfaced when I tried to activate the product, the product key was not provided with the digital purchase. So I spend 45 minutes on the phone chasing a Product key to register the product, no help from Best Buy. It gets worse from there. The second problem surfaced when I tried to use the five free federal e-file’s, again the product key I was finally provided after spending 45 minutes on the phone, did not work. So you guessed it, back to the phone I go to get a second product key to file my taxes. Finally, the key works taxes filed and nightmare ends. I totally fault Best Buy for all of this, because they failed to provide the necessary information to register and use the product. Additionally, they were not helpful at all getting me the support I needed to resolve the issue. I had to reach out to H&R Block directly to get what I needed. In closing, I do recommend the product, but I don’t recommend purchasing through Best Buy digital download services, just buy the CD it’s a lot less painful.

I was worried when it came to filing taxes for the year 2018. Thankfully, the HR&Block software made things simple and easy. The best thing is that I have used the software for the last couple of years, so it ready had most of my documents already in the system. All I had to do was fill in the amounts. (I believe you can also scan the documents into the software as well.) The reason I deducted 1 star is because even though the software will fill out 1 state form for you, you do have to pay extra to have it e-filed.

Still easy to use, still reliable, still informative and makes the difficult easy. One weird thing though: I claimed my home office as I always do and this year for some reason it kept trying to enter my mortgage interest paid twice. It was resulting in a realllllly nice refund, but it wasn’t legit. I went through the same steps on last years version just to double check and it worked right. Do pay attention to that one small flaw.

great for people with a simple w2 form and home owners. easy step by step directions and if something is confusing there are side bars that will explain it in depth. very helpful information and it tells you what forms you need. although i have only tried hr block for taxes, i am very pleased with their system so i havent tried anything else.

This tax software is simple enough to use and asks all the questions you need to be able to file your taxes correctly in multiple states

Been doing my own tax returns for years as well as a few family members. Using this HR tax software makes filing the dreaded tax returns an easier and quicker task with the added confidence of accurately completing them.

I've been usitng HR block for years. Its cheap and retrieves data from year to year. It handles my situations, but there are some quirks with complex concepts such as AMT and the college credit. I used Intuit years ago. I believe thats a better product, and used to (not sure if it does any more) automatically try scenarios such as married filing separately to see if there was a benefit. Since I basically know what I need, I choose the HR block and save $20+ each year.

Tax software is good. Easy to follow instructions and free Federal E-File. If you get the digital software from BestBuy you need to use the Order # as the Activation code and not the key code

I've been using this product for at least 20 years (used to be TurboTax) and I've never had an issue with it accurately calculating my tax obligation or in electronically submitting my federal and state returns.

Logical sequence of questions to take you through. Imports previous years tax return. Less expensive software than TurboTax.

Better price when ordered via digital, in my case, it took a while to locate download, but worked every bit as well as if I'd purchased the disc.

Had no problem downloading the program. It was just like when you download from the disk. The only issue for this way vs. having the actual disk is that I could not locate the number for the 5 e-filing s for free. Used the text help from the program and they provided me a number that worked perfectly for the 4 returns I completed.

I've been using this software for years. It's easy to use once you get the hang of it. Deluxe version works fine for average person with deductions and credits and a variety of income sources. Nice to be able to run different scenarios to plan for future years and understand how to manipulate tax code to good advantage.

I've been using this for years. The tax overall for 2018 did make it more challenging. A couple of areas could have provided more guidance, but in the end the was completed on time. Also included state tax. For the last 12 years I lived in a state that had no state income tax so this software helped walk me thru.

Every year I use H&R Block software because it’s fast, easy to use, and always comes in at a lower price than the competition.

I have been using H&R Block Deluxe Plus State regularly for more than five years, and it continues to impress me every time. I install it on my home computer, and then family members can stop by and use it to prepare their tax returns too, which is allowed by the software license agreement. In fact, the one package includes five federal e-file submissions at no additional cost. I highly recommend this tax software.

I have been purchasing HR Block for years now, and have always had a good experience with the software. It should be noted however, there was an issue when I initially went to purchase the digital download, with the key not working. Best Buy initially would not refund either, due to the copy being digital. Finally issue was resolved, however it was a headache to deal with. Lesson learned, just buy the physical copy.

As the saying goes "death and taxes" can't be avoided. I've been doing my own income tax forms for 50 years now. Mine aren't usually that complicated but the tax software has made it so much easier. I've used the H&R Block software for about a dozen years and never had any problems with it. I've never had a submission rejected or ever been audited. The electronic submission makes it just that much easier.

Low price for a great product, easy to purchase, and would recommend to others.

This is the only tax software I've used so I can't compare it to other tax software. It's easy to use - just follow the tax interview and enter your numbers. The box says users have free access to H & R Block services if needed but it's nearly impossible to get through. I was on hold for over 4 hours and finally gave up - found the answer to my question by calling IRS directly.
