I used this for the first time for Thanksgiving. Was apprehensive about cooking a turkey in it but it turned out fabulous. The unit is easy to clean, use and store. Highly recommended as the controls are very sharp, in easy location and an added bonus is the handles to lock the lid. Comes with a spoon, a temperature probe and owners manual that is in English.

We love this crockpot. We wanted this because it has a timer. We were really happy with all the other extras we got bsides the timer. It is huge! It comes with a prob to check the temp in the middle of pot. It holds the spoon on top for less mess. We love it! And for the price, you cant beat it.

This slow cooker is perfect! The size lets you put in a 5 pound pork shoulder easily. It is easy to use, you just put your ingredients in, choose the program you want to run, enter, choose the length of time, enter and voila! You can go do your things without having to worry about dinner. The closing clips help carry it places, but I mostly use it the lock in the heat and flavors while cooking. It comes with a thermometer/probe for large pieces of meat, only used it once since most recipes online give you an estimated time of cooking. I do put a napkin on top of the whole, because even though I love the smell of food, I don't want it all over my house (happened once-yummy aroma, not so much at 6 am). That seems to do the trick. I have made pork loin, carnitas, chili, teriyaki chicken, latin chicken drumsticks and other things, this is a life saver for a busy working mom.

This is a great slow cooker. The base is heavy duty and thick. It's oval shape is a must and if you know cooking, is much more perferable over any round shaped cooker. It allows for HIGH and LOW temperature cooking, time setting, and even has a temperature probe setting. The lock down lid prevents messes and the sleek look is not only attractive, it is easy to clean too. Fantastic piece of cook wear to add to add to any kitchen.

the Hamilton Beach Slow Cooker is great; it is pretty large for one person and also heavy but does a great job cooking your food. It will take me awhile to learn all the many combinations that are available but the directions look quite easy.

I researched it, read many reviews and finally settled on purchasing this slow cooker to replace my old crock pot. I am pleased to report that I made the correct choice. The performance of the unit has been outstanding thus far and I have no problem recommending this slow cooker to others. Because I did read that some other users had a problem with the unit just shutting off during the cooking cycle, I spent a few more dollars for an extended service plan just in case. I have used it many times and it has performed flawlessly each time. There have been no unexpected shut off issues at all. I love the sophisticated look of it. It is very easy to program and I absolutely love being able to program it to cook to whatever temperature I want using the food probe that comes with it. Once the probe hits the desired temperature, it instantly switches to keeping the food warm. It is an excellent way to not overcook the meat and bring it to a safe cooking temperature. There are many slow cookers out there to choose but for me, I found this one to be the best overall value with excellent performance.

Always been a Crock Pot fan but this slow cooker is awesome for the price. Great control features, easy to use/program, and the probe is a real plus. I'm very happy with it.

Slower cooker is everything we could ask for, program so that we can forget about it and come back to it later all ready and temperature status, along with closing mechanism to not spill.

I really love this slow cooker! It's plenty spacious enough to hold a large corned beef brisket with all the trimmings and all turn out fantastic! It's very easy to use, dishwasher-safe crock and lid, has a nice appearance and sweet extras like the temperature probe and locking lid with spoon rest and spoon included. I also really like that once it is done cooking it shifts to a keep warm mode. I've only had this appliance about a month and have used it several times with great results! I would also like to mention that the Best Buy store I purchased this at did not have any in stock the day I went in. But they ordered one for me and had it sent directly to my house with no charge for shipping. I ordered it late on a Monday afternoon and it arrived Thursday morning ... wow!!

I've only used it once so far, but i liked it. It has a programmable mode as well as a probe mode (the probe mode cooks your meat to the perfect temp you would like/choose) Also I like that it has locks on either end to really secure the lid and help in transferring or moving. Also i'm not sure if they all do but i like that it came with a large stirring spoon and that it clips on to the lid again good for transferring. Also the crock lifts up out so it's easy to clean or nice to put on the table instead of the whole unit and is dishwasher safe. Overall pretty nice and nifty! =)

I bought this particular crock pot based on the reviews of others. I have used it several times so far with no problems yet. When I was looking for a new crock pot, I wanted one that I could program and that would automatically switch to a warm setting after cooking and not just turn off completely. This model does just that. I also really like the included temperature probe. I have not used it extensively, but I have used it to make sure that meat is cooked to a proper temperature. With no problems so far, I would definitely recommend this brand and model.

We had talked about trying a slow cooker again after getting rid of one years ago because it was so hard to clean. The Hamilton Beach Set and Forget solves that problem and more! The addition of a temperature probe means you can mess up your recipe! Add to that the locking lid for portability and you have a winner at a great price.

This was purchased to replace an old Crock Pot that had finally reached its breaking point. At first I was concerned that this being a larger Pot than my previous it was more than I would need. I was in awe the first time I placed a large pork butt into the pot, I was able to put in in without having to cut it up first. I cooked on low for 16 hours before adding any veggies and 5 more hours afterwards. The ability to adjust temp or choose regular settings was fun and the built in poke hole allowed me to check the meat without unlocking the lid. I am also a big fan of the built in spoon holder in the lid handle. I recommend this to everyone interested in a new crock pot

Got this for my daughter in-law who likes to use crackpot. She likes this one cause it has a lock so lid stays on when transporting to another location. if this isn't important to you then u don't need this one. it also has a timer and temp prob...nice if you want the food to turn off at a certain temp...esp. if you are late in getting home. a little pricey...so wait for a sale.

There are more expensive, fancier slow cookers with more features, but for the price, you can't beat this one. Excellent capacity, solid construction, good performance. Have used both with and without the temperature probe and works equally well both ways. Extremely pleased with this purchase.

I purchased this item thinking it would be the perfect Christmas present for my mother. And it certainly would have been, except it turns out my brother had gotten her a similar gift already. I considered returning it, but decided that maybe it was time I grew up and started learning how to cook. I figured what better way then by keeping this monster and making myself something other than a quickie meal for a change. My first attempt was barbecue for sandwiches. It was delicious. And so easy to make. Next came the pot roast with potatos, carrots and onions. Also, tender and juicy and cooked to perfection. I had plenty of leftovers to freeze, even after eating on it for two days. Something tells me I'm going to gain a few pounds, but it'll be worth it. If you are on the fence about a slow cooker, I recommend this product. The price was great and the quality is excellent. Writing this review has made me hungry. Let's see what I can throw together in the pot today.

This is the slow cookers of slow cookers! I have a smaller cooker that I really love and use frequently, but for cooking ribs and larger cuts of meat, this cooker really rocks. Also, the timer makes it great for starting the cooker when I leave for work, and when I get home it is already cooked and warm -- and NOT over cooked. I have also cooked soups and beans, and it really gets the job done and done well. Cleanup is easy, too. I have not used the temp probe yet, but I have no doubt it will do just as well as all the other features. Also, the lockdown top makes it easy and spill-proof for transport. This is a "must buy" from Best Buy! I don't think you will regret it. Happy cooking!

Not only isx this cooker very good looking, it works well. The programmable feature is awesome for those days when I am on the go and still want to serve a nice evening meal to the family. Very easy to clean with the removable crock. Front panel simply wipes clean with soap and warm water--no knobs to clean.

Made a pot roast in my new Set & Forget Slow Cooker and it turned out amazing. Replaced my old $20 crockpot and am very pleased with my decision to spend the extra for an upgraded slow cooker.
