This is a great sounding speaker but lacks low end bass. This may not be a problem for some, but my son wanted something with a little more OOMPF! I ended up returning this and got the JBL Charge 2+ instead. It also has great sound but better bass (and it can charge your phone if needed). Overall, the HK1 is a great little speaker, and would be perfect for an office or just background music. And placed in the right location, it does help in the bass department (like in a bookshelf). But for an overall, carry with you party, it just didn't do the trick.

It's sound is okay but it has sub-par base compared to my Bose for the same price. It does come with a great case though where I had to buy a separate one that is more of a skin for the Bose

This was a surprise gift to me and I loved it because of its size, weight and crisp quality of sound. This is not high bass compact speaker but yet amazing speaker

HK speakers have a stylish design, great range and are easy to pair to other devices . I do carry my music everywhere and for that previously I used a JBL speaker which by the way are made by HK and I was happy with it but since I got the chance to try one at the store I did not passed the chance of buying it. Delivers great sound , well balance , good bass and did not break the bank. The only thing I might complain is battery life but for the overall performance I can overlook that.

I looked at several reviews on this and the JBL 3 and I like the size between the 2. JBL has a bit more base but to me its not enough to make the difference. It has great high end sound and the microphone is quite good as well. From my knowledge this is the only one that allows 2 wireless to run on app. I bought this on sale plus a $10 points card. Its unbeatable for the price and it comes with a case. I would give it a 5 star but I think the JBL has a tiny bit (TINY) better sound but not good enough to spend the extra $75

I was fortunate to find this at a good sale price, and have no complaints. Great sound quality as you would expect from HK and the Bluetooth link works quickly and very easily. It's missing the truly deep bass sound that you would expect from HK but for a speaker of this size and its intended use it doesn't disappoint at all. Still I wouldn't pay full price for it or anything over $80, it will let you down if you spend more than that. But if you can find it at a good price, you'll be happy with your choice.

This is a speaker that has a great name with a great reputation. If you like portability and terrific high notes and don't care for deep bass, then this is your speaker. Back in college this would have been my choice since deep bass travels through walls much easier and further than high notes do. However, this was for my daughter who wanted a "richer sound with good bass" so we returned it....for that reason only.

I love to listen to music in the shower and I have a larger speaker (same brand) that I love so I purchased this one. It's pairs easily and sounds clear as you can get. I wish it stood up vertical and had a little base.

Sound from this machine is great. The fact that you can charge it and take it outside is great.

Good sounding speaker, not bass heavy, if you really like loud bass look elsewhere, good battery life, rectangular so won't roll off a table like a JBL.

Needs to be broken in like any good speaker, but overall great sounds for a great price. Notes about the lows / bass not being great right out of the box are warranted (though not really that noticeable unless you really want to push bass forward) , but if you spent time to break this little speaker in then the sound really evens out and gives a nice amount of range. The battery life could be better, but I use it mostly in spots where power is not a big issue, so no complaints there. Really good value for the price IMO.

It is a good and very load speaker that punches out a lot of sound. It is good to take to the beach or anywhere were you would like to use a portable speaker at. The only thing that I would have to say is a bad thing is that the battery that is in the portable speaker is not that not that good. It does not last as long as other portable Bluetooth speaker on the market. Other than that it is a very good speaker that anybody will will be or should be happy with.

The sound is great but the battery doesn't last long. Last around 4 - 5 hours. Had to constantly recharge then decided to keep it plugged in all the time. I don't know if that is bad for the battery.

Size is just what I wanted for a speaker., clear sounds and very easy to use! The design is sleek it matches the design of my room !

I'm not a big fan of Bluetooth speakers. If I want to listen to music, I try to do that through my full range speakers. However, I'm surprised how often I listen to this little harman kardon speaker. I take it outside, in the bathroom when I shower, and in the garage when I'm working. It sounds great and plays plenty loud enough. It also has a sturdy metal housing. I won't be replacing my Martin Logan's with it but would certainly recommend this speaker for its portability and Bluetooth capability.

This is my first Bluetooth speaker, quality of sound is really great. Eventhough the speaker looks small, sounds big. Battery recharges very quick and stays there for long. Overall great product. I would recommend to everyone

I chose this over Bose because the Bose bass is too muddy. The HK One has very clear sound and doesn't try to produce bass that can't be produced in a small package. Get the Onyx for big bass. Has plenty of volume and looks good. Battery life isn't the best, but I use an external battery if we need to take it out for more than 3-4 hours.

I got this t replace a smaller JBL speaker that died after a year. This HK is amazing!! It's got great tone, and plenty of volume! You won't be disappointed.
