This Harman/Kardon blue tooth speaker is incredible. The sound you experience is comparable to a set of Pioneer speakers I had in the seventies. Great sound for such a small speaker. You also have the convenience of placing them anywhere at anytime because they’re wireless. I will definitely buy another one so that I can get that dual sound. If you’re looking for some great sounding blue tooth speakers at a reasonable price, try the Harman/Kardon Onyx Studio 3.

This product has got to be as good if not better than BOSE products. This Bluetooth speaker has got to be the most crisp clean with perfect proportioned amount of sound . Bass Is fanominal...mids are perfectly in sync with lows and highs... and the treble highs are sooo crisp with none whatsoever distortion at all. Honestly no doubt THE BEST Bluetooth speaker you can buy right now. If they only offer a 5 star rating...no joke I give it extra credit with 6

I purchase the Harmon Kardon onyx studio 3 speaker for outside use at my Tennis club while Casually playing the sound of the speaker was so good I think folks were paying more attention to dance moves to the music rather than playing tennis. The sound Quality is excellent coming from such a compact speaker.

We bought this speaker when it was on sale and have nothing but good things to say about it. The sound quality is superior to most, the volume is unbelievable for its size, and I can use it for our phone conferences... which is a major plus. Very satisfied!

Bought this late December, 2016 for use in my home office... Decent sound quality, good presence... but just died on me after only a year and a half... Unplugged it while I was cleaning / organizing my office, and when I plugged-it back in it would not turn on... Called HK customer service and walked through several attempts to do a factory reset, but nothing worked. Looks like I'll have to buy something new... I like, Harmon / Kardon, but its disappointing that this $300 speaker only lasted less than 2 years.

You can really feel the music. It would be nice if the speaker were 15-20% louder but it is pretty powerful already. I use it in my shop 12 X 24 and this speaker produces rich clear sound to work on my projects to.

I just received the Onyx Studio 3 and it sounds amazing! I am extremely impressed by the amount of clarity and bass coming from this small unit. The dual passive radiators really put out a deep sound and look really awesome in action. The microphone feature sounds extremely clear and I can stand about 10-15 feet away from the unit and people can still hear my voice without issues. The Bluetooth range is excellent with about a 30-35 foot radius. The only downside is the short battery capacity at max volume. Your 5hr expected usage is cut down to about 30 mins. I typically me the unit plugged in because of the increased power output very recomended

It’s an amazing speaker with quality all over its speaker. Great sale price for what you receive with this speaker. It’s sound quality is clear and it doesn’t let overly distorted music ruin its self either. Good amount of bass and great size for home use. Could use a better battery life for people that love playing music LOUD like me.

I also own UE Boom 2's and I mainly hear about Bose, Sony, UE, Beats, JBL, and many other brands when it comes to speakers. But, the Harman Kardon speaker has better sound quality than most Bluetooth speakers, It has tremendous bass and balanced sound overall. Perhaps the 5 hour battery life is a drawback or the "not so portable" design, but if you want a at home speaker with room filling sound that can be moved around the house easily, this is an amazing speaker. You can pair two of them as well! Trust me, I'm tempted to buy another one.

For the size and weight it's very difficult to beat this Bluetooth speaker on pure sound quality. It uses a total of 4 drivers and two passive radiators mounted in a rather odd (but effective) design. The bass does feel a little boosted, however, this makes music more lively in my opinion, and it's impressive how full this speaker sounds. It is important to mention that this speaker only outputs its stated power when it is plugged in (When operating on battery power the speaker outputs at 50% maximum... The volume slider still adjusts from 0-100%, however, 100% on battery is actually 50% of plugged in, 50% on battery is actually 25% plugged in and so on...), and that the battery life could certainly be better. For those technical folks out there, the unit uses one 18650...and that's it. There's certainly room for at least 4 cells, so it's surprising they didn't add a larger battery / keep the volume levels the same whether it is plugged in or on battery. Certainly an area that could be improved in a future version If you connect to a second Bluetooth device while you are playing music it may cut out / stop working. A little annoying, however, if playing from a single source from 25ft or less I had no problems over many hours of music. I also tried the speakerphone function with my iPhone and it worked well in my testing with no echo. Remember, this is a speaker first and a speakerphone second, so don't buy it to ONLY be used as a speakerphone as there are better options out there for the money if this is your objective. The legs are sturdier on this 3rd iteration, and don't seem as likely to break off. The rest of the shell is plastic / rubber and feels quite sturdy and well put together (just don't drop it obviously, as the case could crack) Overall I'm quite satisfied with the speaker and would recommend it to those in the market for a speaker that is bluetooth / portable, however, will also be plugged in for at least some of the planned usage cases.

Harman/Kardon - Onyx Studio 3 Portable Bluetooth Speaker - Black The Onyx Studio 3 is a black disc that measures 11 inches in diameter and is shaped like a convex lens approximately five inches thick at its widest point. It stands on two metal legs built into its body that let it sit at a slight angle. It features a black cloth grille bearing the Harman Kardon logo on the front and a rubber passive radiator with a metal disc (also with the Harman Kardon logo) on the back. Above the radiator, a large grip makes the 4.6-pound speaker easy to carry when moving it around. However, its battery only lasts 4.5 to 5 hours meaning it's not suitable for long periods away from an electrical outlet.……. For a one-piece Bluetooth speaker, the Onyx Studio 3 puts out some impressive sound. It sports two 3-inch woofers, two 3/4-inch tweeters, and two passive radiators, with 15 watts going to each active driver for a total power level of 60 watts. Harman Kardon claims the speaker boasts a frequency response of 60Hz to 20kHz, and the bass response seems to confirm that. The speaker reaches deep enough into the low end to offer an appreciable sense of rumble, and handled the sub-bass synth hits at full volume with plenty of force and no distortion.

Excellent sound, E_Z installation, great price, look very nice, love the ability to connect 2 speakers to the same source . I use them in the house and outside when I do my backyard work and by the pool. No need to take a mortgage to listen to good speakers. I listen to classical and popular music.Pleasure to deal with Best Buy. Highly recommended.

This wireless speaker delivers clear, crisp sound with more than adequate bass to help you feel the music. It is a little bigger than other wireless speakers I've owned, but it has a built in handle that makes it easy to transport, and believe me, you will want to take this sound with you everywhere you go. I LOVE THIS SPEAKER!!!

This speaker was recommended to me by friends who heard it playing at the store, and said the sound quality was amazing. We decided to go check it out and we were amazed. It was used for a birthday party of 40 guests at a beach house and it was perfect. It is very portable, and can be used without being plugged in. Battery will drain faster if turned up high. I have noticed a slight decrease in volume when you unplug it, but not much, although I do suggest you keep it plugged in. It shut off on us mid-song and it took me a minute to get the charger and plug it in. Great speaker overall, and highly recommend to anyone.

The product was offered at one third the original price as the new 4 series just came out. Although the size is bigger than many of the products offered on the market this larger size is necessary to have the great sound quality that it offers. The bass level is also excellent. The set up is also easy.

This speaker delivers great sound, nice bass tone and loud enough to fill any room or backyard. You can go Bluetooth or buy a cable that connects it straight from your device. I happened to have that cable and hooked up my old school boombox to it and was blown away at the sound quality. Good job h/k!
