Customers are saying

Customers enjoy the excellent sound quality of the 375W 5.1-Ch. 3D Pass-Through A/V Home Theater Receiver, describing it as crisp and clear. However, some customers have experienced issues with the receiver's power, including instances of the unit failing to power on and a sticky power button. Overall, the positive feedback on sound quality outweighs the negative comments regarding power.

Excellent Receiver For Foot Print Size

I have own many receivers in my day and this was my first entry level Harmon Kardon. I was attracted to it because of its light weight and small foot print. I was a little worried because it is VERY LIGHT I thought it would suffer in sound quality at higher levels. I am surprisingly happy though. I am only using a Def Tech Pro 900 speaker set up in which all 5 surround sound speakers are satellites. I would be interested to see how this performs on a larger book shelf or even tower. This is great for a basic 5.1 system. It doesn't have a lot of extra inputs, doesn't do 7.1 or power other zones. I would highly recommend this to some one just building their first system or some one who is experience and is keeping it simple.

Bought item going off by brand and expecting more than current old item at home(Pioneer). To begin with, this unit is very complicated to program, set up connections, making 5.1 standard surround settings for TV connection and or regular tuner are extremely difficult and end up getting stuck with 2.1 sound! Speaker connections are not standard on back of unit, banana plugs and bare wire connections kind of give install a bad eye sore! Remote control commands are very confusing and when selecting a source to set up field, settings are difficult to program.

When I bought this receiver it was to temporarily replace my previous receiver that quit working. For the money, I do believe this is a very good product. The sound quality is good when compared to just having the television speakers. The one issue I have with it, and it may strictly be on mine, but the power button seems to stick when I try to turn it off. Other than that I do not have any complaints.

I purchased the receiver as an upgrade to my current system (which broke). With the HDMI connections setup could not have been easier. The sound is crisp and clear. Even the picture looks alot better.

I was looking to replace the Harmon Kardon system I had for 10 years. My speakers still worked great so I was looking to find a receiver that would be compatible to what I had before. I found this receiver worked out perfectly. Great sound quality.

Love this receiver and even better, it was on sale for $199. I have always used Pioneer and Sony products but decided on Harman Kardon. Was worried about the "low" rated RMS power compared to the others, but the quality of the power and low distortion levels, match or surpass the sound of other brands.

The unit is ok, for the price there are much better units. The receiver is under powered at this price point, I purchased it at the recommendation of the Best Buy rep and should have went with my initial selection. You will need to have your external music device plugged into the receiver because the Bluetooth is terrible and to initially set the Bluetooth capabilities up you have to directly plug into an Ethernet cable.

Random HDMI TV Link Switching + Died After 3 Mths

The AVR 1510 has pretty good on-screen menus for setup. However, my unit kept losing audio. Plus the HDMI TV Link option kept turning itself to off. Then, after three months the until will not even power on. My setup was DVD, Cablebox, XBox each connected to the 1510 each via their HDMI cables. Then, one HDMI cable out to my TV. I contacted Harman Kardon on 11.28.13 via their web form and I am awaiting their response.
