The whole family loves this. Very nice toy especially if you're a contemporary ( read: nonclassical ) music lover. Try to buy the extra music cards when they are on sale as they can get pretty expensive

This will be a Christmas gift for a teen girl and her younger sister. It hasn't been opened, yet, but if the high quality of the packaging is any indication, this will be a home run. I may not even wrap it!

My daughter loved this early Christmas gift and has had fun playing it. The sounds mix great. I'm not sure why anyone would pay full price because without the app, the device won't work.

We haven't really played the "game" part of this much but just freestyling and messing with different combinations of songs and pieces to make something new is really awesome.

This game was a hit for my 15 year old for his birthday. He plays it everyday and enjoys the solo play the best. It was a big hit. Definitely recommend for your teen.

Just a toy. You can make a cool mix but I hate the fact that I must continue to buy cards. Not sure it’s worth $100.

I'm not sure if anyone will be reading this as I'm pretty sure the game is sold out and out of production, but I'll share my thoughts anyways.
First, this game totally deserves the $100 price tag it initially charged. No one piece of technology in Dropmix is proprietary or revolutionary. NFC and Bluetooth have been around, as has the sound engineering of changing pitch, key, and tempo. But Harmonix and Hasbro have done something special to make these elements work together. Hearing a pop song change from major to minor to mix with the other cards on the board is pretty cool. Even before Rock Band, Harmonix was doing this with Frequency. So, the engineering involved in making this game work is totally worth the $100 price of admission.
However, from a consumer's point of view, it is not worth $100. The mixes don't always work well together, which I think goes to show that the sound engineering behind even the "simplest" of pop songs is challenging. Strip away the music elements, and the game itself is not that deep or challenging.
At the end of the day, I am absolutely happy with the purchase, which was deeply discounted. It will make for a great party game, and people will be blown away when they see and hear it for the first time, but it is not something that I will sink hours and hours into.

As far as a game it’s not much of one but it is entertaining and as far as an activity it’s really super cool.

Harmonix really delivered the experience they are good at on this one, making anyone feel like they can mix like a DJ. Base game came with enough variety, but it won't be long before you'll want to buy additional decks ;)
4 game modes (they just updated the app with a new mode) means you can enjoy this game solo, or with a number of friends.

Hasbro and Harmonix did it a music card gameplay battle or just play and mix card no matter what card you mix and match its fun to listen.

Okay as a game, but great for freestyle mode!

Probably the most creative game idea in a long time, but better for freestyle mode than actual gameplay. Figuring out the mechanics/strategy for the actual game isn't intuitive, while freestyle mode is very enjoyable and will lead to many additional card purchases.

Whether or not you actually play by the game's rules, you can have virtually endless fun with Dropmix. I personally love creating sweet sounds with this creative masterpiece where you create songs using sounds from a wide array of other songs using this card system. It's really cool to just mess around with for hours.

Dropmix is a great game for music lovers, board game lovers, and those who love both genres.
This is a great game for the whole family as well. My kids (7-9) are just getting into popular music and they love that some of their favorite artists are in the game. My wife and I love the classic song.
