Having used a Philips sunrise alarm clock for about 5 years prior to purchasing this, I already knew I wanted another sunrise alarm clock when mine stopped working. This alarm clock appears well made and is definitely more aesthetically pleasing than those made by Philips. My only two complaints are: 1. The Brightness. The Philips clock was very bright compared to this. I am a light sleeper, so this light is still enough to wake me up, but it isn't nearly as bright and the colors aren't as 'defined.' They tend to be more diffused. 2. The reliance on a mobile application. While this wasn't a surprise to me (I read other reviews prior to purchasing), this is still a drawback. There just isn't a great degree of control using only the controls on the clock itself. That said, the app worked well for me, and it gives plenty of options for configuration.

I purchased this for my wife and it works perfectly for her. The light slowly waking you up with the birds singing in the background are perfect for not startling you awake like you're back in the military. All in all a wonderful device that will wake you up much more naturally than an alarm will.

I love my hatch… I love to have things that help me sleep better. This hatch has nice sounds and the best part of all is the morning alarm … waking up with the sunrise!

This device is easy to set-up with a smartphone and easy to program. You can choose from a number of color and sound configurations, including meditations, songs, and noises like fans. The library also includes sounds from the outdoors and nature, which really appeal to my cat.

This is awesome. I get to choose from any color and make it as bright or dim as i want and the sounds are so soothing.

Nice hardware. This thing is truly pretty. HOWEVER, don’t assume that it’s fully customizable. There are nine options for the sleeping sound. Nine. There are a lot more for the 15 minute wind down but bupkis for the main event. Paying a big chunk for the subscription doesn’t even give you any more sleep sounds. Other than the severely limited sound catalogue, this offers a light source that is customizable. I’ve been using this for a month now and I’m not sure what benefits a color changing light should make during wind down or what help it gives to have a more red light change to yellow during wake-up provides, but it has a really wide color spectrum and intensity variation. If I were to buy this again, I’d probably go with a much cheaper pink noise machine that has more sleep options.

Helps sleep but you have to pay for a subscription if you want the extra stuff. After a year and some months it’s stopped working. Most nights the machine won’t even turn on

The alarm sounds and lighting are nice but I don't think it's worth the money and you have to pay for extra features

To start, this product does have a subscription but it’s optional and it can only work on a 2.4g internet connection. Overall this product is amazing, I’m a heavy sleeper and I’ve been having a hard time waking up to the traditional alarms but ever since buying this alarm I’ve been waking up early and making it to work on time. I wake up not being started by a noisy alarm but instead I wake up to a nice warm sunrise with birds chirping. Another neat thing with this alarm is that it lights up the whole room with the bright sunrise so if I’m sleeping facing away from my alarm I can still wake up to it. The only thing I dislike about the product is the button location of the alarm off button and alarm time. Either way I am definitely recommending this alarm to anyone.

This has helped my nightly routine immensely. The light, sounds, and built in alarm were everything I was looking for. The app includes so many options that you can tailor Hatch for your sleep experience.

Ive really enjoyed my hatch. Started using it right at the DST change and it has made my night and mornings easier. I really like thr routines you can set for the evening with all the different noise and color combinations there is the perfect slerpscape for everyone. One change I wish was add would be an additonal step to morning routines to dimiss the alarm but leave the light on without having to go into the app to turn it on

The Hatch Restore is a game changer for me, I struggle to get to sleep at times and stay asleep. My mind races and I’m stressed at times, the hatch with its different sounds,lights and music has helped me to gently fall asleep and stay asleep. My favorite thing by far is the routine for both bedtime and waking up, it’s always a refreshing end and start to the day. One of my only issues is the connection for the device can be an issue, it can disconnect from Wi-Fi or your phone randomly and can be a pain.

Absolutely love my hutch. It actually helps me wake up every day at the certain time and keeps me scheduled as well when I go to bed helps me unwind , there are so many gray features also so many different colors sounds phenomenal. You have so many to choose from. It’s so convenient. You also have the app you can schedule your times or you can set it for as the week you will not be disappointed on purchasing this. I was kind of skeptical first but I’m not so I said why not let me just give it a try and I did. I’m very pleased with it.

Was having a terrible time waking up in the morning as well as getting to sleep at night. The ambient noise supplied by the alarm clock helps me sleep, and the light, that is adjustable from color to brightness, while easily adjustable via my cellular phone is very helpful in waking me up.

I don't know how I slept without this. Highly customizable sleep and wake functions through the app, which is easy to use. The alarm is the best part. It never startles you awake. Most of the time, I am ready to get up before it makes a single sound. I use to be startled awake by my tradional alarm clock and was instantly in a very terrible mood. That has all stopped. Highly recommend it.

Brilliant device! Love the customization of this sunrise alarm clock. The sunrise feature is awesome. I use it as a reading light too and it’s great. Much gentler at waking me up than my phone.

Love the light waking me up in the morning. It takes a little to get used to the app. It's not as intuitive and remains a little tedious to navigate. Also recommend a different color for the actual time. The white can be pretty bright at night, even on the lowest setting.
