I was blown away by this disc. I have a Sony 60in.950E 4K without Dolby Vision and this transfer has me looking at the OLED models as this is what 4K HDR is all about. Top of my list besting Apocalypse Now. Lion King (2018), and The Shining to name a a few. Guillermo DelToro a master at sight and sound and film making. This one is going bc to be hard to beat for PQ...this year.

Good movie. The classic 2 .ovies are better than the new one. I recomend this one and part 2.

I got the Hellboy 2 the golden army on StealBook. So I had to pick this up.

This is way better than the new one. I enjoyed this and the 4K looks awesome! The SteelBook looks great as well.

Copped this steelbook for the mrs and we were both shocked at how well the movie holds up visually and conceptionally. Still 100 times better than the unnecessary reboot.

One of my all time favorite super hero films. Used to watch when it was on DirectTV. Happy to have bought it on 4K. And it's full screen!!

I like steelbook and is decent but I like it the art work.

Hellboy was one of those secret treasures when it first came out and has since become a cult classic. Combining fun with horror elements, it’s a fantastic adaptation that oozes with charisma from the cast and great action set pieces. This is quite literally the ultimate set as not only does it Upgrade the sound and picture to the 4K standard we’ve now become accustomed to, but also includes the theatrical and director’s cuts, over 3 hours of special features both from the original home video release and also a couple of new features for this set, and it includes a free digital copy. If you don’t own this movie or if you’re thinking about upgrading to 4K, this is most definitely a worthwhile purchase!!

Hellboy has always been one of my guilty pleasures. As soon as I read the review regarding the improvement in both picture and sound over the standard blu-ray I knew this was going to be a must have upgrade. Ron Perlman was born to play Hellboy. The rest of the cast except Jeffrey Tambor could have been a dozen different actors. Furthermore, unlike many of the other 4K upgrades, the ULTRA HD does include both the Director's Cut and the Theatrical versions. If you have not added this movie to your collection and are a fan of Guillermo Del Toro, you may want to give it a view. A noticeable improvement over all previous formats. Recommended.

Nice Hellboy 4K Steelbook, replicating the cover of the old Hellboy Collectors Edition DVD set. I do love this film and the 4K cut is gorgeous

When Del Toro said that he was going to take on this project I was so super excited and he did noty disappoint. Seeing one of my comic book faves come to life on the big screen was amazing. Now I get to enjoy it in 4k and this is how this movie is meant to be seen. The collors are so vibrant and the darks really pop. A steelbook cover is the cherry on top. Great addition to my collection.

While I know Mike Mignola is less than enthused with the Guillermo Del Toro adaptations, the original Hellboy is a pretty faithful adaptation of Seed of Destruction, with an expanded focus on Liz Sherman and a new protagonist, John Myers (played well by Rupert Evans). The movie is beautifully shot, with excellent creature design and an iconic performance by Ron Perlman. It's a much better Hellboy movie than the one that came out in 2019.

Great movie, good price. Great cinematography. Stunning visuals with a grittiness that makes the movie pop. Bring the popcorn!

Born in the flames of hell and brought to Earth as an infant to perpetrate evil, Hellboy was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Dr. Broom, who raised him to be a hero. In Dr. Broom's secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense, Hellboy creates an unlikely family consisting of the telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien and Liz Sherman, the woman he loves who can control fire. Hidden from the very society that they protect, they stand as the key line of defense against an evil madman who seeks to reclaim Hellboy to the dark side and use his powers to destroy mankind.

I loved this movie since the first time I saw it, I waited for a long time to be able to buy the SteelBook version to add it to my collection.

The movie is great, that's all I need to say about it. The 4K disc is wonderful, video and audio are both a big step up from the woefully bad Blu-ray. It's filmic and natural looking but with deep blacks and great colors. It's not as sparkly as a brand new Marvel movie but it was never intended to be.

Still the best of franchise, Hellboy is a wildly fun take on Mike Mignola's titular superhero character. Crammed full of incredible visuals, practical and visual effects and led by the one and only Ron Perlman as Hellboy, you're guaranteed to love this one if action and adventure is your thing.

I think that this movie was actually ahead of it's time a bit. It still holds up perfectly. Looks great in 4K. I do wish we could have gotten a second sequel to this in 2019, instead of that throwaway reboot junk.
