First of all let me start out by saying that I was not familiar with HiSense and yes I'm usually picky about what brands I purchase. In fact, this is the first non-Samsung TV I have purchased in about 15 years. We wanted a reasonably priced TV for my grandmother last Christmas and hastily purchased this one. We were so impressed that we bought one for my master bedroom TV. I definitely would not hesitate to purchase a larger one for my main living room TV. I am quite picky about TV's. Typically I purchase from lower end models in the Magnolia room at BB. This TV is nothing short of magnificent. It stacks up with TV's at least twice it's price. It's 'Smart' features are where it lacks compared to brands like Samsung. For me though, I use an Amazon Fire TV for streaming so the integrated streaming features of the TV don't matter much to me. I wouldn't miss them if there were no integrated features (except for TV software updates) at all. This TV is the ONLY brand to offer a full 4-year warranty. That is just awesome! HiSense is the leading TV manufacturer in Asia and I've read they are trying to make a name for themselves in the US market so they are going above and beyond competition to gain market share. I look at this TV like Kia or Hundai in the car market. They have passed competition by leaps and bounds in only a few short years. Don't pass up looking at this TV just because it doesn't have your favorite brand logo on the front. I think you will be pleasantly surprised at the quality of this TV. The picture is 4K @ 60Hz and the sound is adequate for bedrooms, etc. Like any flat screen the sound isn't going to blow you away BUT it's way better than most other TV's I looked at that would require a soundbar. On a side note, I enabled advanced HDMI features and the remote started working to control all of the features of our Amazon Fire. How cool is that?! No need to spend another bill for a Harmony remote to control our Fire TV from one remote. I am one please customer and would buy another of these in the future

I am using this as computer monitor and I am very happy with the results for the price paid. The display is perfect as a computer monitor up to 4k@30HZ. You can run the display at 4k@60HZ but fonts don't look so good. I use the monitor for gaming and a lot of software development. The high resolution and size provide a great desktop for multiple open windows with lots of activity. I have used some of the smart TV capabilities and they are pretty cool, albeit a little bit slow in some of the menus and launching of applications. But once an app is up and running and a video stream selected the view is amazing. There are better TVs but you'll end up paying a lot more. For the money it is hard to beat this TV.

When I got home with my new TV it lacked most of the apps people use. No HBO or Starz apps, no Sling TV app, none of those. I had issues with Youtube App the first 3 months of owning it, the app stopped working altogether and won't connect to Youtube. Last night I started having horizontal lines at bottom and top of screen and the whole picture shakes. I have a 2 yr protection plan with Geek Squad, called them today, only to find out the protection plan is actually with Hisense, not Geek Squad and I have to send my TV to a Hisense repair location. I am livid about this. I wish the Best Buy representative at the store made it clear to me that the protection plan isn't with their Geek Squad folks but with the Hisense folks. I don't want to ship my TV to some place for repair, the whole point of the Geek Squad protection was so they would come out to my home, repair or pick up like they have done with other products. I will never buy another Hisense again. Total crap of a TV, just not worth it.

This is a good TV for the money, picked it up on a one day sale so the price was right. The color is good after making some adjustments, the settings I used are posted below. I didn't use a calibration DVD, just did what looked good to my eyes. The netflix and youtube apps work well, I've used a roku for years so that is my standard. Tons of inputs for the price. Sound is better than average for a flat screen, I checked a couple times the first day to see if my stereo was on. Warranty is extended to 4 years if you register as part of the set up process. I do have a couple nitpicks 1. You can't put a custom label on the inputs. So you have to remember what is hooked up to HDMI1, HDMI2 etc. 2. The built in media player can play .mp4 videos, but if they aren't 16x9 the tv will stretch them to fit instead of adding letterbox bars like it should. 3. The color changes a bit if you are sitting to the side of the screen. 4. Have to point the remote directly at the screen for it to work, used to using my roku remote and not worrying about where it was pointed. Here are my picture settings picture mode: standard brightness: 50 contrast: 35 color: 42 Dynamic backlight: off backlight: 40 eco sensor: off overscan: off noise reduction: low adaptive contrast: off color temperature: standard

I'd been holding out for a big-screen TV for a LONG time (until this purchase, the biggest screen in the house was my 23" all-in-one computer monitor). I had in mind something in the 40-50" range. It would have been nice to buy a US-made product, but that hasn’t been an option for many years. Other TVs in the house are Samsung, bought during conversion from analog to digital in 2008; all still work fine. So I was definitely willing to consider another Samsung. However, in assessing picture quality of Ultra High Definition TVs in this size range, I thought the image of the Hisense was superior to Samsung, Sony, and others. Price was a little better, too, but not the driving factor in my decision. I liked the color -- black. If it was silver, I would have instantly ruled it out. The manufacturer's four year warranty was an unusual bonus, which I took to mean they were confident in the quality of their product. As a result, I skipped the extended warranty offer. Assembly was super easy; just gently hold the TV on end on carpet or other soft surface, and attach a pair of legs at each end with screws. The only negative, which I noticed after the purchase (since all models are displayed on the wall): It seems every manufacturer except Samsung has switched from stable, pedestal style bases to little legs situated as close to the edge of the TV as possible. Why??? Whoever thought up that clearly doesn't care about the end user’s plans for locating the TV. Not everyone wants to wall-mount their TV, or buy an enormous, single-function piece of furniture that will be outdated in a few years. I put my TV on an antique-style table that’s two inches wider than the TV. One inch further either way, and the TV would be on the floor. Since the TV is near the room’s door, I thought my luck would run out eventually. After a little research, I bought a Fitueyes Universal TV stand from Amazon (Best Buy sells only wall-mounted TV holders for some reason). That stand was a real pain to put together, but now the TV is now much more stable, the screen height is adjustable, and although the stand is inconspicuous, together they're drop dead gorgeous. I added some old Cambridge Soundworks speakers to make it more of a theatre experience. Overall I'm extremely pleased. I hope Hisense will make an Ultra High Definition TV with a smaller screen (30" or so) soon, because I'd be the first person in line to buy one for another room.

After researching many a TV, I decided on the Hisense. Our last TV of 15 years finally died and we needed to replace quickly. The reviews were all super and for the price I thought it would be worth the investment. The TV was easy to set up and the picture quality is fantastic. My family and I love everything about it. With a house full of video players, the graphics seem to please their discriminating eyes. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a great TV at a super price. Quality is above and beyond those typically in this price range.

Was a bit leary of the less known brand, but very highly rated picture in the price range. Not disappointed at all. 4K looks stunning. Only complaint is it’s lacking in number of apps available, such as HBO Go, but supposedly more will be added with updates.

I had done a bit of research on TV models, and had decided on an LG. I wanted to go into the store to make sure I liked the picture. The LG was sitting next to this one, and I like this one a bit better. Saw that it was priced lower, and had the same features I was looking for. I did some quick review searching online and didn't see any red flag reviews, so I decided to buy it. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now, and it is a very good TV. The only slight issue that I have is the lack of native apps for other services that I use (hulu, HBO) but using netflix is really nice when controlling it with a real remote control, and I can use my phone for the other apps. That one minor inconvenience wouldn't cause me to not recommend the TV to anyone. It's still awesome overall, and has a lovely number on its pricetag.

This TV is amazing for the price. When compared to name brand 4K Tv's that have the same features this one has, we paid a fraction of the price. This TV has a more crystal clear picture, it is super easy to set up and use, we just really love it.

It's one of the cheaper 4k TV sets but that doesn't mean it's bad.. some reviews are old and at one point this TV didn't have proper HDR but it has been updated and I play PS4 with HDR and they look great. 4k looks good if you have the connection to stream it but it also upconverts other content to make it look even better. The menus are simple but you have lots of options. Only complaint is they got all frozen and slow for a day but that maybe was an update cause it's back to normal. Finally, is clearly not as good as a huge brand and more expensive TV but it's definitely nice for the room I have it in and I'm happy with it. Oh and you can see it from all angles too.

Great T.V, good sound if you have a small living room, would recommend a sound bar if you have a larger space where the T.V will be. Set up is easy, and staff was great on providing specs.

I was somewhat aprehensive about this brand of TV, but after reading the reviews I decided to give it a try. The picture is remarkably sharp after some minor tweaking, and the sound is great. Be sure to fully explore all the on-screen adjustment options - I was amazed at all I found. We use it for a bedroom TV; it replaced a 32-inch Visio which after several years of service continues to work beautifully also - we just wanted a larger screen. We're completely satisfied with the Hisense and would recommend it to anyone.

My roommates and I bought this tv hoping it would pan out well for us. We love it, the sound is pretty good, the picture is great, and the apps are quick and easy to use. It is a 4K tv and I have seen the difference for gaming. At the time, we paid $400 for it and we will still get a sound bar just bc we love bass. Prefect size TV for a small to medium living room. Can still work for large living room
