Hisense has really stepped up their tv game. I have a 65 inch u8 series and although this tv does not have the same bells and whistles, it is still impressive for the price I got it at ($210 post tax)

I had trouble with the Hisense Google TV

Google TV OS is slow and device cast lags. I had to factory reset a few times to get the TV to function acceptingly. After only almost a month of use, the TV will not stay connected to my WiFi router and I had to find a cat cable so I could continue using all the Smart tv features. Before, I started using the cable: I tried resetting the network connection on the TV. I reset the router. I tried another factory reset on the TV. I tried changing the connection speed from the router from 2.4ghz to 5ghz. I hard reset the router and power cycled the TV. So, back to the store it goes. I should have to use the CAT to connect to the Internet all the sudden after the WIFI connection had been working fine.

Beware the open box

Best Buy’s “excellent” guarantee on this Open Box TV. It was delivered haphazardly with tape barely securing the TV, which had minimal packing to keep it secure inside. It was also missing pieces to safely & securely station the TV to actually use it. Customer service for fixing that issue was nil. I was actually told by one of their chatters that I would have to go into a nearby store and buy the missing pieces. Not worth the hassle for a deal I could find on Amazon for a brand new TV with all the right pieces.

Lasted less than a week, I was setting it up and as I was doing so I had to grip the edge of the screen and you can guess what happened. With the smallest amount of pressure it's just trashed. I think Id rather have a TV with a frame...

Damaged Piece

Review is not regarding the TV but Best buy. The packaging was damaged but we were assured that TV is safe, so we trusted them and got it home. After unboxing and setup when we removed the protective films. Thats when found a huge damage hidden behind one of the film. The screen was busted on the corner on the exact spot the packaging was damaged but was hidden behind the edge protection.

HDMI ports horrible placement

HDMI ports way too close together and there is a bump within 2 inches making it impossible to connect a Roku or fire stick directly. Plus one of the ports doesn’t work at all.

I was in the market for a new monitor and decided to go with this tv instead I have had the frames per second in gaming but I wanted quality and quality I got. This 50 inch qled does not disappoint it's not very expensive and has great visual quality. The thing I noticed the most was how smooth the motion in the picture was. The colors are more defined also. I would recommend this tv
