Once you get this home, you will fall in love! You can’t beat the picture or refresh rate at this price, it’s almost illegal. I’ve had Sony and LG tvs and they haven’t come close. I kept looking online for reviews (only had 5 here when I purchased it) and it’s a hidden gem. Trust, you wont be disappointed. Only recommendation: make sure you have a soundbar because the audio speakers are the only thing i could find as a con, and its not the worst but it makes a difference.

The TV has a great picture. I'm sure you can find a TV with better picture if you spent $2k to $3k. The Google play works well and the setup is easy. I have noticed no major issues with the sound. The only minor drawbacks i have is the OS doesnt seem to be the greatest. Switching between apps or changing settings can take a little bit of patience. Also, there can be a glare if its in a brightly lit room and watching something with dark scenes. I don't have any issues watching sporting events, but i notice glares during the day when the sun is shining through the windows in my living room and the kids are watching a movie with dark scenes. It fit on the mount I bought from Amazon with no issues. TV is overall 7/10 but 9/10 when you consider the price.

One of my tv died, so i figure it's time to retire my cheap hisense r6 model to secondary and replace it with a high-end qled 120hz tv... Found this to be the cheapest with these features and i can absolutely see the difference!!! Much better color and details and picture quality is much higher at motion. Absolutely worth the price

Upgraded from a 2019 TCL Q series, which IMO os still a good tv. When we unboxed, it was so easy to set up the google tv. And the picture is amazing. PS5 looks stunning. For 700 this is a steal!!! For a 75in 144htz tv.

Unbelievable Picture Charity on this Q7 / 75" purchased 1 month ago & as stated, shes a keeper!! Easy to set up, Doesnt require a college degree to find what you want to tweek sounds & pics. I also have a 5.1 surround sound system & again, so freakin easy. My 1st Hisense, been a Vizio guy for 12 yrs without an issue, but wanted a QLED & a larger tv.....Can go wrong with this choice & very fair pricing for the value you receive. Friends & Family freak on the quality when viewing it.

Was surprised to find out that this tv does in fact have full array (local dimming) when I got it home. It doesn't say anything about having it on any site I've been on. On the outside of the box is where it lists this feature. Picture quality. It is quite good. The detail pops and sometimes that can be scary because you can even see face details and makeup on the actresses. The black detail once I tweaked the set are quite good but not quite plasma/oled level, but still good. 144hz is great for gaming if your looking for an affordable set for that. I definitely recommend.

It seems that Hisense makes advancements in its TVs every year, and having owned three of them since 2019 I can attest that they are quickly becoming the budget manufacturer to beat. Their latest QD7 model continues to push the envelope of their QD-LED technology, and somehow drives down the MSRP significantly compared to their budget offerings in this size class in years prior while increasing the feature set…this is a *144Hz* panel, on a 75” screen, for a $749 MSRP. By spec sheet alone this is impressive, but diving in further I found the TV does live up to the numbers while making hardly any noteworthy sacrifices. - Unboxing and Setup Make no mistake - this is a large and unwieldy TV. You will absolutely need an assistant to help complete assembly, so plan accordingly. The QD7 is well-packaged and should endure most freight carriers’ handling - an updated package design from prior sets makes unboxing an easier affair overall without compromising screen protection. Once laid down on a table or other firm, protected surface, the feet attach easily to their indents on the bottom of the TV and are keyed to avoid swapping legs inadvertently. Two options for feet spacing allow wide (52”) or narrow (21”) spacing for most TV stands, or you can use the VESA mounts (spaced 400mm x 300mm) on the rear of the TV for wall-mounting. The most significant update from the 2021 U6G I reviewed is that HiSense has chosen to replace Android TV with the updated, streamlined, and much better performing Google TV OS. Setup with an existing Google account is incredibly simple - once signed in, you’ll walk through a few basic setup questions and preference settings, and you’re off to the races. It’s hard to overstate how much of a step up Google TV is from Android TV; any updates that were occurring in the background were unnoticeable, and the OS’s performance is extremely snappy with no apparent lag on the QD7. - Connectivity & Control The four HDMI ports on the QD7 are split so that HDMI 3 & 4 are version 2.1, accepting a 4K, 144Hz signal, while HDMI 1 & 2 are version 2.0a for up to a 4K, 60Hz signal. HDMI 1 acts as the eARC channel for connection to a soundbar or compatible home theater system, which will allow you to use the TV remote for volume control. A composite port handles legacy connections (though I would have loved to see component support), and a TV tuner with coaxial input allows for over-the-air broadcasts without the need for a separate breakout box. Two USB ports provide up to 1 amp of 5V power (one port will provide half an amp), perfect for powering an antenna amplifier directly from the TV or connecting an external storage device. The TV’s audio output is mirrored through an optical port that supports Dolby Digital (bitstream) and Dolby DTS. All told, connectivity is quite good, and indeed my QD7 functions as the de facto receiver for my home theater. For internet and wireless connectivity, an ethernet jack (I believe Gigabit) complements 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi, and bluetooth 5.3 is supported for pairing wireless headphones or the voice-enabled remote. A single power button situated directly below and behind the center of the screen allows for input switching and power options without the need for the remote. - Picture & Sound Quality The biggest surprise coming from the 2021 U6G to this QD7 is just how far the screen quality has advanced while the price has fallen. I am unsure if this panel is VA-type or IPS as it exhibits pros and cons of each. Unfortunately true specifications for this display are sparse as the model is very new, and as of the writing of this review the product has not yet launched for retail sale. Debuting in Hisense’s high end models for 2020 and trickling down to midrange TVs a couple years later, their “Quantum Dot” technology has progressed massively, pushing QD-LED TV performance to greater heights while remaining eminently affordable. As I understand the technology, Quantum Dot is a different way to reproduce color through an LED panel, using a crystalline film rather than a traditional RGB filter to present light at a more precise nanometer wavelength per-pixel. Hisense claims this technology allows for over one billion colors to be reproduced (from sources presenting 10-bit color detail) with precision at a significantly lower cost than OLED panels. Whatever the case, the QD7’s color reproduction and peak brightness are exceptional at this price point. HDR calibration with a PlayStation console revealed a peak brightness close to 1000 nits (9/10 peak brightness setting), and the response time and color accuracy are both very strong. Regardless whether the source is HDR or not, I was consistently amazed by the color depth on display even on the “Standard” preset. Absolutely no color banding nor bleed is present, allowing for an incredible level of detail to come through on 4K sources. Supporting up to a 144Hz signal rate on HDMI inputs 3 & 4, I connected my gaming laptop with 120Hz output and found an incredibly responsive image. With low-latency mode enabled, ghosting was so minimal as to be unnoticeable at couch viewing distances. Input lag is low enough that competitive gaming is viable for all but the most frantic, twitch & reflex-dependent titles. Using this panel as a computer monitor is a pleasant experience, and a proper R-G-B subpixel layout means TrueType hinting works flawlessly. There had to be some concession to hit the QD7 range’s MSRPs, and to that effect the built-in speakers are some of the worst I’ve heard in quite some time. Lacking bass, tinny, and creating a sort of reverb sound effect, I equated the sound quality to communicating through two tin cans connected by a string. Plan to use ANY sort of external sound system with this TV…even a $50 soundbar will blow the built-in speakers out of the water. Additionally, there is ever so slight backlight bleed around the edges of the display, which appear to be from manufacturing variances where the plastic housing is pressing slightly against the edge of the screen. These are hardly noticeable except in a dark room, however, and you would have to be looking for them to notice. - Google TV Supporting a wide variety of apps from the Google Play store optimized for use with a TV and remote, Google TV is a very user-friendly, feature-rich operating system for a smart TV. It’s extremely customizable and adaptable, and performs admirably even on low-end smart TV hardware. The experience here is great. Powering the smart TV functions is a MediaTek MT5896 chipset employing an ARM Cortex A73-based CPU clocked at up to 1.4GHz with 2.5GB of RAM and 18GB of internal storage (16GB free from a factory reset), with a Mali G52 integrated GPU. This is a recent chipset specifically designed for use in smart TVs, and its performance powering Google TV functions is nothing to sneeze at. Not once did I encounter any appreciable lag or delay accessing Google TV menus or switching between apps. As a Google TV, thousands of apps are available from the Google Play store to customize your smart TV experience. Streaming and news apps work great, and some unconventional apps open up unique experiences. For example, I connected a couple bluetooth controllers and set up classic videogame emulators for use directly on the TV, and a streaming app let me play PC games on my desktop on my TV over the local network. You can also sideload apps that aren’t available on the Play Store over USB if you want to tinker, or plug in a hard drive full of videos to play directly on the TV through a media player app. Google TV is just as user-friendly as it is deep and customizable, so there really is something for everyone here. - Bottom Line The fact that this TV has an MSRP nearly 30% lower than its 2021 model in the same segment, while bringing an objectively better screen and vastly improved smart TV experience to the table, is proof positive that Hisense refuses to rest on its laurels. This screen easily matches top-end TVs from years prior without breaking the bank, and is worthy of being the centerpiece of a home theater setup. Besides the weak speakers, my only other criticism of the set is a chunkier, more plasticky feeling to the outer casing and legs of the TV, but I would be splitting hairs to call out something that makes no difference once the screen is set up. For putting the quality where it matters at this price point, the Hisense QD7 comes highly recommended!

I really love this TV. Couldn’t be happier with the size, color, and ease of use. It has a great picture and the sound is decent without a soundbar for now. The remote is simplified and the important buttons are bright white. Perfect for us, cost wise, features and compatibility with OTA and the OTA DVR. Yay!
