My wife and I have an Old English Sheepdog that has lot's of hair. This Hoover vacuum does a superb job of picking up his long hair and whatever else he and the cat drag in. Any pet owner should have have this cleaning tool..

I done some research on best vacuums for long dog hair, and the Hoover pet wind tunnel ranked quite high on several sites. I was leaning more towards one of the more expensive models thinking that more money would mean better quality. But, I chose this one ultimately because it was lighter than the other two I was considering and I have a tri-level house with lots of stairs to carry the vacuum up and down. I also like it because the height is adjustable and the spin brush can turn on or off. One of the models I considered had automatic height adjustment and I don't always like when machines try to think for me. Our copy machine at work does that and I don't like it. I want control of the vacuum height and everything else. This vacuum allows that and does a great job. Some hairs to get caught around the spinning brush, but not nearly as much as with my previous vacuum and I think that will happen with any model when you have a dog with long hair. This vacuum does a much better job of getting it all though and I am very happy with it. And, it was about 1/3 or 1/4 the cost of some of the other models I considered. I figured even if it only lasted a handful of years, I was still getting a deal. It has been several months now and we use it two or three times a week and no problems so far. It is kind of big and bulky to use on stairs and it just dawned on me that I should have tried the attachments. I just haven't had much luck with attachments in the past, so didn't even consider it. So, I can not rank that aspect of the vacuum, but I am making a mental note to be sure to try it out next time.

Easy to use, fairly lightweight, picks up really well.

Purchased because I loved my Hoover Vacuums in the past. The best suction comes only with a bagged vacuum. I do not like bagless vacumms. I did not want to use to clean my car, and ended up doing so. Light weight too! Love it!!

This vacuum works well with picking up pet hair. It is lightweight.

I almost didn't buy this because it looks like cheap plastic with a boxy 90s design. The reviews were so great that I gave it a chance anyway, and it has been unbelievably effective - I can pick up practically every dog hair in one pass, whether on carpet, hardwood or in my furniture with the attachments. When I put it together out of the box, I did feel like the blue panel that snaps into the front was pretty flimsy and it took some effort to get it to seal properly, hopefully it doesn't break on me. Other than that that, it's perfect.

This sweeper does a great job picking up pet hair and normal dirt. It is heavy and cumbersome to maneuver. It is more important to me that it do a good job.

Overall, I am happy with my purchase. VERY, VERY HAPPY to have switched from a "BAGLESS" to a "BAGGED" Vacuum. Emptying the bagless versions was a nightmare. This particular unit is lightweight for me, easy to use and maneuver and does the job I expected it to do at this price point. I would recommend this Vacuum because of statements above and, well, because it Vacuums. Job done. I did not give this Hoover a 5 star rating because I think it could have a bit more suction. I may have to pass over a stubborn "fuzzy" on the carpet 2 or three times, but not so much a big deal. I need the exercise anyways.

we have 3 dogs and when the kids come over its 5 dogs. This Hoover vacuum picks up dog hair better than any we have had.

They didn't have this in stock, so I had to have it shipped to the store - no big deal really, other than a bit disappointed we had to wait. However, it came in on time & was easy to put together. My wife even commented on the ease of assembly. The attachable "pet" wand comes in handy on the stairs & furniture; was a handy gizmo. The unit draws good suction and does a good job of cleaning up lots of the hair (from a pet cat) and other little bits of dirt, etc. Overall, I'm happy with the purchase.

We purchased this vacuum to replace an older Windtunnel that was self-propelled. This model is so light it's less work to use than the old one. There are several features like more robust locking of the hose and attachments, that make this model more reliable. We've had no problems since purchase. The old Windtunnel lasted 13 years. If this one survives as long, we'll be very happy customers.

I LOVE this vacuum. It is awesome. It is lightweight, so it is easy to carry upstairs and down, it picks up EVERYTHING off the floor (carpet and bare), it has an extra long cord, it is made for pet owners (2 cats that shed often), it is a BAGGED cleaner (for those who have allergies) and it was INEXPENSIVE! I did not want to pay $300 or more for a vacuum but I still wanted a quality machine. This is it! I am so pleased with this vacuum. I cannot praise it enough. It makes my carpets look like they were cleaned with a carpet cleaner and not just a vacuum cleaner. It is that good!

Sucks great and just have to change bag when it turns red

I wanted a new vacuum because I didn't feel like my carpet was getting clean with my old vacuum! Boy was I right! We have 2 dogs, a cat and a baby that is on the floor often so I needed a clean floor. After only one pass over my living room and master bedroom the bag was full of pet hair! My carpet feels fluffy and soft again!

We have only had this vacuum several months, so far, so good. It has great vacuum and cleans our short carpet and linoleum floors well. We are getting rid of our Dyson which was very disappointing. Wish this Hoover didn't have so much plastic, but it seems pretty solid. The best thing about it is that my wife loves it!

This vacuum is very lightweight and easy for me to carry to all 3 levels of my home. All the tools fit right on the vacuum and the suction is very powerful. It practically lays flat to sweep under furniture. The only thing con I can think of is that there is only 1 piece to fit on the hose that attaches the hand tools. My old vacuum had 2 pieces and therefore lengthened the reach of the hand tools.

I chose a bagged vacuum because of problems that I've had with bagless options in the past. This is an affordable lightweight vacuum with super suction. The hose is extra long and can reach to the top of the steps w/o having to carry the entire vacuum. I really hope that the suction power stays for the life of the vacuum. We have pets and it really does a great job picking up their hair. My only dislike is that the crevice attachment is super long. I would prefer the option of making it smaller if need be.

Good vacuum for the price powerful suction had a good experience with my last hoover lasted 25 years.

Picks up dog/cat hair with no problems! I especially like the small roller attachment for the furniture, lamp shades and curtains, it picks up dust and pet hair beautifully! The vacuum is a little heavy to lift up the stairs and hose doesn't stretch very far but it has a nice long cord! Very happy with purchase would recommend!

excellent suction and great at picking up dog hair but the vacuum is somewhat heavier than I thought it would be.
