We have had this vacuum about a month now and are completely satisfied with the features and ease of use that this vacuum is producing. It was very easy to assemble from very easy to understand instructions. The owners manual provides the necessary information needed to explain the features and how to use them. We have used this vacuum quite a few times since our purchase and the performance is outstanding. We have a thirteen hundred square foot apartment which is all carpet except for the kitchen and two bathrooms and the ease in witch this vacuum performs enables me to complete the job in a very short time. I have the vacuum setting set a No. 4 which seem to meet our needs very well. This vacuum cleans bare floors very well not leaving any dirt behind or just pushing it around. The bristle shut off feature is a plus to have. The wind-tunnel suction draws out dirt and hair that our old vacuum never even came close to. The dirt cup is very easy to use. Just unhook it from the main body with a easy to use un-hook clip, hold it over a trash can, unhook the clip that holds the bottom and the dirt and hair falls easily into the trash without one needing to get their hands dirty. The bottom re-hooks to the dirt cup very easily and the dirt cup latches back to the main body with just a very easy snap hook. The auto re-wind of the power cord is really a big help and saves the trouble of a manual re-wind. I highly recommend this vacuum ! One will not go wrong in the purchase of this item. Best Buy was extremely helpful in the purchase and customer service of this item. I also recommend purchasing the extended warranty from Best Buy as it is reasonably priced as was the vacuum also.

My primary reason for purchasing this vacuum was based on its evaluation at cnet online related to cat hair pickup/removal. The pet hair removal tool works perfectly on my stairs and other carpeted areas that have high amounts of cat hair. It also performed very well on non-carpeted flooring. NOTE: I do have a note of caution however - when cleaning out this tool, do NOT open the cavity and then tap it over your trash can. The parts in this tool are NOT secured and will fall out in your trashcan, specifically the spindle and washer on the end. ---

Although this unit is a relatively new purchase I have to give it five stars for it's dust collecting ability and amazing odor control abilities alone. Our previous vacuum was manufactured by a firm with a long tradition of selling vacuum cleaners that could literally last a lifetime. That unit was paired with disposable paper vacuum bag contained within a permanent machine-mounted fabric bag. The manufacture claims that both the disposable paper bag and the fabric bag are Hepa-rated filters. We have two large Labrador Retrievers equipped with the prolific shedding cycles particular to that breed. Despite frequent changing of the vacuum's paper filtering bags and regular washing of the fabric outer bag, we couldn't use that vacuum for more than two cycles before that well-known dog hair/vacuum odor would present itself again. Adding to the odor condition is the presence of dust within our home. Although our combined furnace and A/C forced-air system employs regular disposable air filters paired with an electronic air cleaner, our family likes to have our windows open as often as possible and of course has the heavy dog-dander factor as well. Both of these conditions add to the level of dust that collects over time in in our carpet, regardless of the fact that we have the carpets professionally cleaned at least twice a year. Then entered the Hoover WindTunnel Pro Pet Hepa Bagless Vacuum. It was both fascinating and unsettling to see the enormous quantity of fine dust and pet hair which collected in the Hoover's clear plastic collector after vacuuming just one bedroom. Despite the large load with extreme fines there was absolutely no odor that emanated from the Hoover. The container removes from the unit quickly and easily for the dumping of vacuum-collected matter. The Hoover is also equipped with a thick HEPA filter which contains any odor-causing particles, leaving the exhaust air of the unit fresh and clean. Hoover recommends removing and washing the HEPA filter once every two months, a quick and simple process, although with our dust load I have washed the filter once every month. The Hoover is equipped with a permanently mounted and connected hose which is easily deployed, and the onboard variety of attachments perform a number of useful tasks. These are both handy features and can be used for non-carpet related uses as well as being used for cleaning of baseboards and crevices as one goes about a room vacuuming the floor. Along with the mentioned features the vacuum is lightweight, and despite having a body comprised primarily of plastics appears to be sturdy and built with an eye toward durability. A very fine vacuum overall.

It's been about a month, and I like the performance so far, I will update this review in future if anything came up, as of now, it's good, it has very good suction through the hose accessories, helps with furniture and hard 2 reach areas, it's also good with pet dander, helps me breathe better! I also use 20x20x1 3m filters on my box fan to pull away airborne pet dander, dust, bacteria, mold, etc... It makes walking on my carpet feel pure, my white socks are not collecting dust and dog hair anymore, so thats a plus. The permanent HEPA filter requires every 2 months of cleaning, but I clean it out after every use, I remove the blanket of excess dust, then I run cool/warm water on the opposite side of the filter (to push dust away and not into the insides of the filter), then I place it upright on my box fan, and it air dries in about 20-30 mins on high air. I noticed that cleaning the HEPA filter after every use, actually helps that wind tunnel effect properly function, when the round HEPA filter is loaded with dust, the suction is not as powerful, keep that in mind. Does not pick up fine diatomaceous earth dust too good, but perhaps it's because it has been sprayed and bonded in the carpet fibers, as it does glue down with water. Keeping it clean is fairly easy, although you have to deal with unscrewing screws if trying to get deep inside the upper enclosure area, where the HEPA filter is housed, and I wouldn't bother, it's not too detectable, but I keep my unit clean, I don't have any other issues with it so far, hope this helps readers in search of a quality vacuum, I appreciate your time in reading my review.

It has really good suction, easy to function all parts & features. It works as its intended to. Only dislike is its on the heavier side compared to other uprights.

I purchased this vacuum with hesitation, but I needed to find something better than what I had, which was a KIRBY!!! I got home with this vacuum and assembled it (very easy to do, by the way). I then vacuumed my living room with my Kirby first, then with my new Hoover. I couldn't believe the amount of stuff in the collection cup! Our indoor dog passed away nearly a year ago. We vacuumed at least weekly while we had her and kept that practice after she passed away. However, the Hoover was full of dog hair! Even after 50+ vacuuming with a Kirby over the year since my dog passed away! That means my Kirby had been leaving hair behind after repeated vacuumings. GROSS! SO very pleased with my new Hoover!

I bought this vacuum as part of a black friday sale and have used it a few times. First the positives: For a vacuum, the overall noise level of this machine is relatively quiet, my cats don't even run away when I turn it on. Also, the cleaning power is pretty great, I have ugly, light colored carpet that shows dirt very easily, but this vacuum made the carpet look practically new again with all the black cat hair sucked up. The power cord pulls right back into the machine so you don't have to worry about wrapping that back up or having a pet chew it after you are finished. Now the negatives: If you do not want to assemble a vacuum and are not handy, this may not be the vacuum for you. It took me less than 2 minutes to put together, but the instructions are not very clear and a screwdriver is required. One other negative, this vacuum is pretty heavy, it does take some muscle to move this thing and it would definitely be a pain to take up and down stairs. If you are elderly or disabled, or are buying this for someone elderly or disabled, this is not the vacuum for them. Overall I give this 5 stars as the two negatives I found do not apply to me.

Did good job on picking up pet hair and dirt out of carpet. Easy to empty container. Hose for attachments and cord could be a little bit longer, but otherwise okay.

I bought this vacuum after using another Hoover for about 17 years. I thought I knew what a "clean" carpet looked like. This is my first bagless, and it makes a huge difference to see what you're getting out of the carpets. Between actual dirt, and lint that's been embedded for a while, the suction on this gets it all up. I've been using it now for a month, and it continues to pull debris out of the carpets, although it is becoming less with each use. The piles are standing again, the house smells more fresh, and overall, feels cleaner. The vacuum is light at 12 pounds, easy to use, including the attachments, and does a nice job on stairs. The complaint my daughter voices is that it leaves very obvious vacuum marks in the carpets, which I like, but some may not. Based on my recommendation, a friend bought the same vacuum for her house, and she says it also does a great job with pet hair. If you're in the market, this is a great value for the price, and a fantastic product!

It was immediately apparent how bad (though I thought it was good) my vacuum was BEFORE I purchased this new Hoover WindTunnel 3 Pro Pet HEPA Bagless Upright Vacuum. I turned my Hoover on and began vacuuming a room I thought was fairly clean. But then -- I noticed how quickly the Hoover was filling up with gunk, dust, and other particles. This meant my old vacuum had been failing miserably; it also meant my new Hoover was performing fantastically. Seriously. Get one now. Also a great price for the performance value.

Great Suction Power for Carpets ! Can also be switched for use on wooden and other floors !! Impressive Suction Power for Carpets - virtually takes anything, any dust of carpet, which might be deep down. Relieved for my family, as this product does the hard work of cleaning, pretty nicely !! Worth the price. 3 channels of suction, are the alternative ways of attachments and the places the attachments are meant to suck the dust out. All needed attachments are there. Stopping the roller with step on, etc. are great addons.

Purchased as Black Friday deal, read directions and tried out the Vacuum Cleaner this week on thick carpet, worked very well extracting dirt and pet hair, strong suction and good rotating brush. Carpet looked great when vacuumed.It's weight is on the heavy side but not a problem for me. Canister removes easily and empties quickly. Filters easily accessible. I disassembled canister and rinsed inside with warm water to thoroughly clean, no problem. Don't hesitate to purchase if you are on a budget and the unit is on sale.

After our dyson gave up the ghost we replaced it with this lower cost hoover alternative. This model is specifically for people that have animals, which I do. You can actually feel how much cleaner things are once you've used it. Which is kind of the point of a vacuum cleaner, i suppose. Anyway, on my first one, after about 6 months of using it, it decided to no longer work after the motor heated up after about 2-3 minutes of running. I tried all of the reset, and double checked to make sure that everything was connected correctly. It was but the vacuum wouldn't suck. I did however have the foresight to purchase the extended warranty, so I threw that bad boy in the car, went back to best buy and replaced it with exactly the same model. No problem, this one seems to a lot better than that first one was. Long story short, when it works, this vacuum could suck start a Harley, but it might give out on you, so you should pony up the extra $20 for the warranty just in case yours was made on a Friday afternoon just before shift change at the factory, like my first one apparently was. If it gives you a problem, just swap it out, relatively trouble free. 4 Stars because I did have to change it out.

I purchased this vacuum on 12/05/14 and have used it on a weekly basis. The vacuum is very powerful, and picks up from our rugs and bare floors very well. The only downside is you have to empty the canister weekly and I've had to clean the Rinsable Filter after a few uses. We do have two cats, so that adds to the frequent emptying and cleaning.

Any owner of Labrador Retrievers knows they shed continuously, in quantity, and seemingly make it their mission to track in dirt. I suspected my older vacuum (different brand) wasn't getting the job done, and after just a couple of uses, I see I was right. This model gets the fur and grime out of the carpet and rugs and off bare floors. As others have said, it's on the heavy side, but it really cleans. I like the way you dump the container but have found the "headlight" to be a bit feeble.

Tremendous suction and cleaning power but remarkably quiet. Great attachments. A great value!

I did lots of research before purchasing this vacuum. We have 2 cats and there is ALWAYS cat hair that needs to be picked up. This vacuum does a great job BUT - it is very heavy and that makes it pretty hard to push on carpet. My husband says it's our upper body workout - and he's right. I had seen a similar comment when I did my research but bought it anyway because I wanted a quality vacuum that didn't cost $500. I would purchase this vacuum again......

Great Vac!! Really cleans deep into the carpet , picks up pet very well! Very satisfied!! All the attachments make sense and are easy to use. Very easy to empty. Only single complaint is , kinda heavy to carry up and down stairs. Not bad though!

When I brought it home, simple to set up and immediately tried it out.It pulled up so much pet hair and dirt from the carpet, even though I had vacuumed the day before with my older pet rewind! It continues to have high performance, love it!

Very powerful and easy to use. Comes with a few gadgets that are easily attached
