This is the best upright I've ever used!

The Hoover Pet Tunnel is light weight and very powerful. Great for carpet and hardwood floors. The upholstery attachment works well and I like the indicator that lets you know how full the bag is. The only feature I would recommend would be a longer cord, 40 feet vs the 30 foot cord.

Works well, but don't love all 'features'

I wanted to fins a 'bagged upright' . Bought this and received it pretty quickly after ordering, so that was nice. It seems to work well and picks up the dog hair off of the carpet. Cons would be that I don't love the air that flies out of the side of the vacuum and I'm not fond of the attachment tube that retracts back into the vacuum. It's not easy to pull out and maneuver. But it seems to work well, just not a 'smart' design.

Got this for the bagged instead of bagless (sucks), and the brushroll release because our house is mostly hardwood floors. When I first began using it - got it just two days ago - I noticed the brush kept spinning even after I pressed the switch to turn it off. I figured it must be just the force of air going in that spins it, but the point of turning it off is to keep the brush from damaging the floor. Hoover assured me it wouldn't hurt the floors because it's not under power, just spinning - and you can stop it with your hand, but of course it starts spinning again as soon as you let go. Whether it scratches the floor remains to be seen. I do know that it's not strong enough of a spin to pull up rug fringes, which my other vac used to do because you couldn't shut off the brush, and that's a real plus in my book. It also will scoop up hair without wrapping it around the brushroll, and then once you've gotten most of the hair off the carpet, you can turn the brushroll on and pick up less hair than you would have. The hose is an issue - it's made to collapse into itself, so if you're moving around with it, and of course you're pulling and releasing on it, it keeps shrinking as soon as it can, and you have to stop and pull the thing out again so you can use it. I get the point of the design, to keep it out of the way when not in use, but it's way too oriented to shrinking. That's a pain in the neck already. Maybe it will loosen up with use. All in all, such a vast improvement over the last vac that we're very pleased. It's also way quieter.

NOT WHAT I EXPECTED FROM HOOVER

Was not as loud as my last vacuum cleaner which I liked. It also comes with a very long 30 foot cord. That is all I liked. It has a 12 foot hose which sounds good, wrong. When I pulled the hose at a 35 degree angle I could only pull the hose out 32 inches before it started to pull the vacuum cleaner over on the floor. I also have 9 foot ceilings. When I stretched the hose straight up I got about 6 feet up in the air and again it started to pull and tip the vacuum cleaner over.

Everything you expect from a Hoover. Great suction easy to use. Pet attachment works very good. A suprise I did not know you could turn the beater off for hard surfaces. This is great I have alot of hardwood floors and cermic tiles

This vacuum is a very good buy. It picks up dirt and lint well, leaving the carpet looking smooth and clean. It is easy to push. I haven't used the tools yet, but they look like they'll work fine. I prefer a bagged vacuum. I'd rather just remove the bag and throw it away than try to empty the canister neatly.

Great Light weight vacuum. I am on crutches and its so light I can still vacuum on crutches. It pickes up dirt and dog hair so much. I like that the on and off button is at the top of the handle which makes it easier for me to operate. I use the cheap bags and it works great.

Glad to get an upright vacuum with bags. Don't like to get all that dust from emptying the canisters on my Dirt Devil. It gets the cat hairs up without any problem.
