The game got a lot of Game of the Year awards two years ago. I finally picked up a PS4 last Christmas so this was at the top of my list. I can now see why this game won all those awards. Massive open world. Deep fun combat. Great story. The only deduction would be the game slows down a lot when there are many enemies on the screen.

This is my favorite PS4 game to date, a must for any PlayStation gamer. Guerilla Games outdid themselves and vastly exceeded my expectations. The world they crafted is beautiful and intriguing, and Aloy is a video game protagonist the likes of which I can't recall seeing before. The supporting cast is amazing as well, and I can't wait to revisit this world in a future installment. I already owned the game and DLC, but still bought the complete edition just to support this wonderful game, and help insure there is a sequel.

At the start I was a little hesitant, but once it got rolling this game has totally sucked me in. The story is compelling, the graphics are absolutely gorgeous even on my base ps4. I find the voice acting to be quite good. The meat of the game is the game mechanics and gameplay though! Spiderman was one of my favorite games, but I think this game is easily surpassing even that one. The combat never gets boring.

This game seems to combine what is the best of many games and combines them in a way to make a perfect blend of the perfect game. The graphics and gameplay were great, but the story kept me going as well. It's a perfect combination of everything that works. The DLC that was released is also included in this version and adds more level up op and hours of additional game play and story. This is a def game to pick up if you own the PS4. If you own the PS4 Pro, I can't imagine what the graphics will do to your eyes!

Love this game. Main character is refreshing hero. Gamplay is exciting and controls are great. It really makes you feel you are against wild animals even though they are robots. Get creative with your combat as all robots have weak points and it is fun seeing parts fly off of them . Story is engaging and really makes you wonder how something like this might happen and from the perspective of tribal factions that are trying to figure out our technology.

I've played many RPGs of what people may consider to be great and coming into this I knew the hype surrounding the game, but I made myself not buy into all the hype. However, the hype was real. The fluidity of combat, the beautiful open-world, and the intriguing story all add up into one amazing experience the likes of which few games come close. Not without a few faults (open-world clutter and repetitive side-missions structure), but those don't hold the game down much at all.

Great graphics, great story, satisfying combat.. an open world game that has a vibrant and living world.

This game is awesome. I look for games that not only have good graphics and gameplay but story/plot as well. This nails all three. The story is incredibly immersive and we'll written. The combat is intuitive and smooth. The crafting is quick and simple. The world is open for the most part (some "dungeons" are locked until you get to the point in the main quest that you go there...). It is a very unique game in it's theme. I highly recommend this to anybody who enjoys video games.

When the argument comes around about which platform has the the best library of exclusive games on it, this game is one of the great examples of how Sony really want to own the crown of this generation of consoles. From story to gameplay, cinematics to graphics, this title has it all. With a phenomenal lead character and great voice acting, this experience makes you feel a part of the world and not just a person....playing a person. Convincing as it may be, I really recommend this game to anyone who has yet to experience it and owns a PlayStation 4 - especially with its recent permanent price drop. What. A. Gem. My only gripe is that on the PlayStation 4 Pro, the performance mode does not allow this title to reach 60fps. It seems it’s either locked at 30fps or 4K resolution. So, if you own a Pro and had thought this will boost fps, it only does so by making sure it rarely dips below 30fps.

got this game for 10 dollars, and it did not disappoint. It might have been rough around the edges at 60, but for the price I paid, it was excellent. The open-world aspect is done pretty well, creatures have their own beahviarly patterns, environments look great, characters are pretty good... for the most part, and the story has a nice feel to it. Not too bleak and not too hopeful. It has just the right amount of balance to it! It doesn't flow as smoothly as Breath of the Wild in terms of the open world aspect, but it is still a good time. Recommended.

I was late to the party with this game, but I sure am glad I finally got around to it. It's like someone took all my favorite mechanics of open-wold RPGs and put them into one beautiful package with a great story and exciting combat. I'm about 50 hours in, and probably only about half-way through the main story. I'm happy to slowly explore every nook and cranny of this beautifully realized world.

I joined the PlayStation community a little late with the PS5, but took advantage of backwards compatibility to try this game and several others. It stands out as one of my favorites from the PS4 generation and holds up extremely well even today (I played in 2022). Great plot, graphics, gameplay. Well worth the price it is now to pick up.

I did not have any of the previous versions- I waited for this version to come out- it is worth getting , if do not have all DLC and the previous version. The game is a master piece.

Horizon is one of the best games I have ever played. The graphics are beautiful, the combat is fluid and fun, and the stroytelling is top notch. This particular package comes with the Frozen Wilds DLC which adds new story content to flesh out Horizon's main story. It also adds some additional outfits for Aloy. I can't recommend this game enough. It's the best game currently available on PS4.

When Horizon was announced, I was unsure of how it would end up panning out. I grow tired of most open-world games and I was worried this would end up the same way. However, that is certainly not the case. Horizon is fun, engaging, beautiful, and wonderfully written. I wouldn't QUITE call it a masterpiece, but it's almost there. The Frozen Wilds DLC is also substantial and a fantastic addition.

A long time PC gamer I only recently picked up a PS4 specifically to play some of their PS exclusives. This was one that was highly recommended over and over again. It did not disappoint. One of the more unique stories with an amazing world and on the PS4 Pro it looks incredible. If you like open world with a good story and solid challenge, then Horizon: Zero Dawn is perfect for you.

Oh yea. This game is so much fun. The only real complaint I have about it is inventory management becomes an issue about midgame. Other than that it's a gorgeous game with great controls and a solid story. The DLC is fun too.

Quite possibly the closest thing to a perfect game I’ve ever played. Combat is a blast, the gear and progression system is varied, the story is deep and the game is just absolutely gorgeous. Since this includes all the DLC, it would be worth full price of a new game. The discounted Complete Edition is an absolute steal. Do yourself a favor and get this game today!

The base game is fun and you can over-level fast for adventures, which makes for fun times completing gathering and quests. Aloy, along with the other characters, is a delight, and The writing and world are rich. The DLC is very exciting. You cannot over-level and have to strategically use all your abilities and equipment to survive. Happy hunting!
