The track connectors are redesigned to keep the tracks better connected, but they are a bit more flimsy than the original connectors that I had when I was little. Still good quality and my son loves it.

Only wish the track still came in longer pieces like when I was a kid, all the unions sometimes cause the car to leave the track.
